What makes you think they would put in Takeda when they left Cassie and Jacqui (frost too) and left out MASSIVE fan favorite classic characters like Quan chi, kenshi, shinnok, smoke, cyrax, sektor, reptile. Hell, some of these have a model and a moveset in the game

And they never give an explanation as to why he was absent. The closest thing to an explanation is he and his father went after the Red Dragon Clan to hunt down his mother's killer. But even if was the case, is that really a good enough excuse for Takeda, and his father Kenshi, to be absent? Especially since Kronika and her forces were threatening to restart the timeline?
