The legs being able to bend without the skirt hindering it is great for if they ever want to do swiftwind in this line fingers crossed
I love how they did the sword and shield because it allows the light to shine straight through rather than just be reflective.
Masterverse is absolutely knocking Classic down with some of their figures. The best She-Ra figure to date.
FINALLY!!! POP!!! I love this figure. I will say that when her head is popped on it sits too low, so I have it sit a bit higher. It looks great!
The waist swivels on her are similar to early female figures in Masters of The Universe Classics before Bubble Power She-Ra aka She-Ra 2.0.
Thus MIGHT be my favourite Masterverse figure that I own. Between her and New Eternia He-man. With that alternate cape and He-man's golden shoulder pads they look like a set and are amazing together.
Her mouth sucks
Catra is also great.
This She-Ra figure is beautiful. I haven’t been collecting any Masterverse other than Skelegod, but I’m seriously contemplating picking this up. She’s absolutely stunning! I have the Classics version MOC, and I’ve got to say Masterverse looks so much better in my opinion! 🤤

This She-ra looks good. My only nitpick is wished the hair sculpt was sharper.
My biggest problem is what Dan points out about the mid-section and jutting chin due to her hair makes her look hunched, and I found it hard to get her in to poses where she didn't look stiff and displaying her bodice details. It's a good figure, well worth it's price, but it's not the She-Ra figure to end all She-Ra figures.
Her face is a bit off, her neck should be longer, and I don't like the shape of her skirt (the hemline should be straight across, like the cartoon). Other than that, this is a pretty nice figure. The female Masterverse bodies definitely look better than the male bodies, which are too skinny for He-Man etc.
I remember she also said sword to boomerang, sword to helmet, from the episode horde prime takes a holiday sword to parachute. 🤣
We have this She-Ra, I like the 7 inch Motu the most, but I did like the hair on the 5 inch too haha. I'm in agreement on the hunched over, no neck, and lack of head movement, but I'm sure each would cost over $100 each if they were as perfect as I would love to see them hahaha
Paint chipping on the sword can be fixed with silver spray paint (acrylic) or metallic paint sharpie. But before we even get to that stage, just coat the handle with clear coat (brushed on) first. Perhaps clear nail polish would work.
Of these 3 She-Ras, the one in the left cannot open legs to ride Swiftwind so the new figure is a welcomed version to display with it. Also the one in the left cannot stand on her feet.
I'm a bit disappointed with my buy. The shield didn't have any straps. Talked to Mattel customer service, who was really nice and went above and beyond, but didn't have a replacement. I'm going to have to return it and preorder it again. Ugh.
I have been looking for New Eternia, but don't have the time I would like to keep up with all of the Motu news. Was or Is that a new show plug? Thanks so much, Dan. I always like these reviews.
The comparison at the end just shows this new Masterverse figure is the best She-Ra to date.

I can't wait to get this and Catra too. I'm not getting too many of the new Masterverse figures but I can't pass on this. I wish Origins would get some more She-Ra related figures as far as the good guys. The hair is rigid because in the 80s a lot of hairspray was a must ha ha. I like the Origins She-Ra has the tiara that can flip to be the mask. I never new her figure could do that until I watched an old catalog of videos of a youtube channel who had the whole vintage She-Ra collection.
The unmasked head sculpt looks off to me but I still love we're getting she ra toys

I think that head sculpt looks pretty fantastic…the super7 version was really a big miss with the arms issue and the face. Are these figures able to mix and match heads? I know the men figures you can’t.
You can’t. Her peg in the new figure is bigger than the Classics. Plus the gold is too different. I did take the short cape and put in on my Bubble Power She-Ra to give her a red cape. I set mine up with the Mask on and the long cape as ‘Armored She-Ra’
Even if the hair limits movement, it's still better than both of my MOTUC She-Ras, whose neck pegs were frozen in the down position. It's just a shame this new She-Ra doesn't have a vertical wrist hinge like the 40th Anniversary He-Man. Still, it's a much needed upgrade for my collection.

To my shock and absolute pleasure, found her and hordak on clearance at Target. I actually bought two of the She-ra figures at that price so I could display one with the classic look and one with the new updated.
I'm really surprised that they are both hitting clearance already because it feels like they just came out.

The truth is that She-ra doesn't look so badly molded, but the double joints never convinced me and those movements that put her in the quadriceps and biceps are completely unnecessary. As I say many times "less is more", greetings Pixel Dan 💪🏻🇦🇷
I am a fan of the masked looked, which makes it harder to decide how to display her. lol. One of my classics versions does have the mask on.
if the paint chips off of the sword in the future, it shouldn't be too hard to just hit it up with some multi-plastic primer and spray paint it silver

She-Ra and Hordak finally showed up in StL this week. Both stores I saw them in had crushed boxes on one pair, tho. Other pair looked fine? (2/2 case?)

I’ll probably get her, but not until the next Target MOTU clearance. This line is practically Target exclusive here and new figures are rare, only moving during these sales.

If the normal head sculpt had a closed mouth this would be a win. Its pretty good nonetheless.
Maybe painting the sword and shield in a clear coat will stop the paint from chipping.
Got She ra and Hordak for 10 bucks a piece this weekend. Target is blowing them out. They look great next to 40th anniversary Heman, I won’t collect the whole line, only the ones that look vintage.

which one is the definitive?
I picked her up because I went to OG fans and after asking them about her chest and shoulder armor and longer cape, they told me no OG She-Ra had that design, and instead it comes from her reboot design in the final season of that show. I love the reboot and it sent me on my path to becoming a MotU fan, so I want to get as close to reboot energy to She-Ra as possible.
do you consider this figure to be an improvement over the Filmation-style figure? the one that you said has flaws?
I am going to make her a faux leather red cape. I think it would look better. The main knock on this figure is the rigid hair. It makes her look like she is having stomach indigestion.
Dan I purchased catra recently and she has two left feet just curious if you have heard of anyone else's having two left feet
I have the same issue with the colour on the stone of the sword. But its still a great looking sword.
I got her a week ago it’s a great figure i took her long cloak shoulder armour off swapped it with the short cloak looks badass
The shoulder armour unclips and I simply put the armour on over the short cloak

Unfortunately she has a very short neck. The price seems great, but disappointment due to the neck does not motivate to buy. Someone messed up with the design.

@@DeityLink69 Oh, I'm sure it depends on the series. He Man's sword traditionally didn't do much beyond turn him from Adam into He-Man, while She Ra's sword could polymorph into shields and lassos. The new CGI He-Man can likewise change the sword into a shield, can use it to fly if my memory serves and uses it for energy attacks.

All 3 she-ras look pretty much the same. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, it's good for fans of the '80s He-Man/She-Ra franchise, But in all Honesty I'm digging the more updated and mature look of the He-Man in the battle armor with his Beard and all. I'm hoping they release a more Modern look to She-Ra. Something that's got more details to the armor sculpt, Maybe a slight change up to the costume. Something that makes more sense now in this day and age. Dare I say, battle Armor She-Ra?
Imho, She-Ra never been well translated into action figure form, including Classics.
The Filmation one had a good likeness I thought and is my favourite I've seen, I know what you're saying though ...
The best She-Ra is the Super7 retro 5.5 inch one, in my opinion. Her head sculpt is better than her Classics, Origins, and Masterverse figures.

I think the best interpretations of She-Ra in plastic form have all been 12 inch dolls (the two con exclusive vintage style ones, the Mondo one, and the Netflix ones all look fantastic), but there's very little MOTU in the same scale (basically just Mondo and the like five non-She-Ra SPOP dolls)

This figure just makes me wish they'd redo the Netflix toyline. That show had some of the best redesigns for the characters, yet it's toys were just awful.

I own classics and the main characters are unattainable for their market price. Let people enjoy a new 7” line.
