This is pretty much a perfect figure in my opinion, the real issue is whether or not you prefer the new design, which I do. The saddle and armor are more angular and polished, and it’s fantastic that he can turn from Battlecat to Cringer just like that.

A list of figures that this mold can be recoloured/retooled into. Panthor, dupli-cat/copy cat, savage cat (for wun-dar/oolar) battle lion, clawdeen, a leopard (for a savage she-ra to go along side savage he-man) and griffin from the 2000-X series.
Classics was a Ponzi Scheme :) They could have just reused the Classics bucks and made them more affordable, but they didn't... why is that? Because grown men would get pissy about their action figures losing value!

My biggest toy collecting regret may be not collecting the Classics line. It just looks amazing and I prefer the look of Classics Battle Cat over this more stylized Battle Cat. Great review!
I really like this for sure. I always like the Battlecat but for you high end collectors and if you really want the Battlecat at its best... Follow Mondo Shop which has one of these coming out soon and way much more detailed and will be the biggest and bestest one out there. I really can't wait. So if you don't know Mondo shop or Mondo toys, you'll absolutely love the new Battlecat and the MOTU line from them.
One thing I like more on this than CLassics is the feet. I was always disappointed the Classics Battle Cat didn't have any claws, just tiny little nails painted on. This version has some proper claws! Looks so much better.
The more I see this new He-man, the more he looks like an adult man with a little boys face. It's weird On a positive note, he is a cool looking Battle cat, if a bit beefy

I have always considered Battle Cat to be one of the top ten coolest looking fictional characters of all time. The character looks great on cartoons, comic, toys, games, anything. The Dolph Lundgren films was pathetically low budget, this was official explained reason why the producers left out Battle Cat from the film and why Orco was made into a troll looking character with legs. I prefer the classic blunt and broad look of Battle Cat than the newer thinner look.

I love everything about this Revelation Battle Cat but the light green! However, now that you've put it beside the Classics, I like the Classics one much better. It looks more detailed, real, green, and ferocious. Even the saddle is more detailed and nice. The Classics look just amazing. Damn, I really missed the bus with the Classics releases.

I will try to get this one, I like the new design even though the details of sculpt and paint seems a bit inferior to the Classics line, I got too late to get those so I take this opportunity. The Classics line is just crazy expensive on the secondary market these days. And I really like the size and articulation of this new Battle cat

Sap green would be the complementary color to the kind of dark pink used there, to make the toy more attractive to the eye. I still prefer the old emerald green from the previous battle cat, but this one is still really nice. Regards.

Skelegod....what were they thinking with that. Its almost as if the design meeting for Skelegod was this: So you know that bit in the live action movie where Skeletor transforms into a god using the power sword, lets do that only make the him look like a character form a 90s Rob Liefeld comic.
Just picked up skelegod today. He’s a pretty cool figure. Once we get castle greyskull my son can have his skeletor take it over and power up into skelegod! Fun times ahead
That paint rub on the tooth is unfortunate. Also, the thumb on the front paws should have been more towards the side so it doesn't look like he has 5 fingers. Looks like some type of deep sea monster hand. Other than that, the size is pretty cool, but for Cringer, I'll take Queen Marlena's Cringer any day.
We always have the same cycle of Wtf till Omg... Was the same with the first "anime" 2000 reboot... And then the collectors series... Well.. Origins got a decent pass i guess... Personally i like this. It has articulation and it has a bit of attitude. As for the size... Without packing in two toys Cringer will always be large-ish. But people can always dig out their OG one, because that should be about to scale for Cringer.
