Really like that you show the true store of hunting, it's not just hike in and find the animal and harvest it. The trials and tribulations along with the less than perfect shot and the effort that went in to finding him and closing the deal. Great video and great story!!! Congrats on filling the tag!!
Awesome hunt Steve! Great job on telling your story! Thanks for sharing your struggles in the backcountry! Loved every minute of it! Awesome goat as well!
Steve and Jason, such a great video showing the realities of hunting in some of the toughest country in Idaho. I commend you guys on showing the entirety of the hunt and how things do not always go as planned, that is something that is lost in too many hunting videos and shows today! I drew my Idaho goat tag last year and like you, I took the time to take it all in as it was the only time I will get to hunt them here in Idaho. It was the hardest hunt I have ever done and is one that I will never forget. It was truly amazing to watch the goats, the nannies would watch over their playing kids and the billies would stand tall on the smallest ledges looking over the rugged terrain. They are amazing animals. Keep up the great work with S&S Archery, Exo Mountain Gear, and Pure Elevation Productions! Again great video and congrats on the beautiful billy!
What a beautiful country! I found you through Born and raised, and I'm glad I did. You make some great film guys. Keep up the good work! Best of luck from Sweden
Very cool video Steve and the crew at pure elevation! It was good to see how it really happened! The rifle shots could have been taken out but you showed it like it really happened. No fake stuff here!
Man this reminded me of my goat hunt. Wanted to do it with a bow and switched to the gun. He died on a cliff edge and then rolled down of three cliffs and through a bad rock slide about 400 yards. Great time hunting but I know that feeling! Goat tag filled!! Good job Steve!
I feel you brother. First deer bow hunt ever I spent the whole summer scouting and setting up. Opening day came and 3 bucks, 1 of which I had my eye on came out. The shooter kept coming and didn’t offer a clear shot til 20 yrds. Somehow I blew it, hit high in the back, tracked for hundreds of yards til the trail dried up. Never did find him. That was brutal to recover from. Glad you got your goat. I’m after one for a couple years now. Hopefully end successfully like yours
Great hunt. Great footage. The real life experiences of the hunt. Fingers crossed I draw this year. I'd be 50% toward my Idaho slam (trophy species). Keep up the great work. regards, North Idaho native
I know that bittersweet first hand. I drew a tag in Idaho, had to raincheck due to fires then the following year almost rain checked again due to fires but I went anyways. I was solely focused on shooting a Billy and mistakingly took a Nanny, I was devastated but I'm able to reflect back now and enjoy the experience. Hope you are as well, well done and thanks for sharing the honest side of what really happens.
Excellent footage, I'm glad you got him, I didn't realize you could draw with so few points. I need to start applying for some of those tags I thought couldn't be drawn without a lot of points! Congrats!!🏹
Great vid I really enjoyed this, stunning country your hunting, forgive my ignorance as I am Australian and not sure how your tag system works for these Mountain Goats, so was it a bow hunting tag or a rifle tag, if you wound one like that are you allowed to finish it with the rifle or can you use either bow or rifle to fill the tag, thanks for sharing this I enjoyed it immensely.
Good job on the follow up guys, I hope people learn from this video. Alot can happen in a split second, I dont care how good of a shot a guy is at 60, 70 pluss yds. They can and will move on you. Alot of critters get lost because of this "new bread" of long range bow hunters. If you bow hunt long enough you will loose one. Let's keep preaching and keep those to a minimum. Hunt on my friends!!!
Great job guys! You didn't quit and you did the right thing! Video was fantastic!
Awesome video as usual. Well done Steve and the entire Pure Elevation Team.
Awesome and REAL! Love the adrenaline rush....thanks!
I love watching your guy's hunts.
Thanks a bunch Andy.
Great video guys! Keep up the great work!

That's some amazing country way to get it done. Congratulations
Great hunt. Great footage. The real life experiences of the hunt. Fingers crossed I draw this year. I'd be 50% toward my Idaho slam (trophy species). Keep up the great work.

Congrats on the Mtn. Goat....sorry it didn't work out as you had envisioned.
Tough hunt, bad feeling for sure. Glad if all panned out in the end.

Excellent footage, I'm glad you got him, I didn't realize you could draw with so few points. I need to start applying for some of those tags I thought couldn't be drawn without a lot of points! Congrats!!🏹
David Cook we don't have a point system here in Idaho
Awesome video!
Good film!
Great video. Also really like the look of your (single person) tent. Would you mind to share the make and model? Thanks!

Love the video, wish it would've worked out for you with the bow but that's how the cards fall sometimes.
Holy smokes that awesome!

Lovely mountain goat good wk
Great experience.
What tent is steve using ?? Great work both of you!
Great video! Where can I get an ASAT camo exo bag at?
What tents did u guys use
Kaid Dodds I believe Steve is using the Hilleberg Enan in this film.
awesome video. like the part where you were driving the truck early in the video with knife already in hand
Saving to watch later
Lovely Billy
Nice, sometimes hunts are just like that. You seemed way stressed out the whole time, made me stressed watching. Relax... :)
Awesome I want to win!
I'm sure jealous of Steve's ASAT Exo pack :D
they made them in 2014 but the material had some issues.
What kind of tent is that?
Definitely “ultra high fence” goat 😂
What camera and adapter are you using with your spotting scooe?
It is the tines up camera kit.
Pure Elevation Productions are you using this on the rx100?
Alot of this was filmed with the rx100.
tines up digiscoper kit
