  • Yes, these are both the versions with the MKI Tone Bender circuit (similar to the Maestro FZ-1), rather than the Professional MKII that the SupaFuzz usually sports.

    You sell those? ...How similar to the FZ1 are they? I have the feeling my (original) FZ1 does not have as much sustain. It does more that raspy saxophone thing.

      Whoops, slow reply - sorry. This clone is built by Thunderbird (aka Lndrmt on Instagram). The topology is similar, but this circuit is very much an improvement over the FZ-1. There's still a distinctive mid-range 'honk' but the fuzz is fatter and sustains better. As with the Sola Sound Tone Bender 'MKI', this version of the SupaFuzz also runs off 9v instead of 3v. It's a little confusing, but very important to note that this version of the SupaFuzz is quite different to the typical model that gets cloned - this is essentially a Tone Bender MKI, rather than a MKII.
