    a. It is a force method that can be used to analyse but determinate and indeterminate structure.
    b. It is a modification of castigliano's 2nd theorem.

    50×1.5+10×1.5(1.5/2+2.5) = 41.25 KN
    This is the correct value of Rb....

    sir can you explain to me why the effect of unit moment accrue only on CB ? does the support reaction affect by the applying a moment?

    I think RB = 20.625 and RA 44.375
    Thaking moment about A
    Udl load distance count from A
    And distance (( 2.5 + (1.5÷2)) = 3.25 m

      @@poojalingaiahmedi3030 If you are asking about the total load when udl is applie, then udl is applied over the length 1.5 m. thats why taken as 10*1.5.

      While this is true, it's always good to be good at the integration steps for when you have to work out say the deflection as a function of load moments with no values

      @@jamesclark5905 Hi, I was revising the numerical today itself. I found a mistake in the reactions calculation.
      Moment about A,
      RB*3 - 10* 1.5(1.5+1+1.5/2) -50*1.5 =0
      Solving this, we get,
      Rb = 41.25kN
      Ra = 23.72kN
      Well thought of informing you....
