My favorite NL bald bit is whenever he takes off his headset, chat just starts spamming bald. It seems dumb, and it is, but his baldness really do be hitting different when the headset is no longer there to shield you from the shining dome.

It’s funny how they seemed to tone down scaling in the last two packs but then also went “What if we make an animal that makes it feasible to get your whole squad to 50/50 and able to be any animal you see in the shop”

@@lingo4375 I mean I doubt they’re going to make new animals every week for the weekly pack. They’re going to rotate it for a while, so they’re gonna have to try and balance Lioness at some point
@@NeoBoneGirl you're assuming it's unbalanced from one lucky game lol. First, he got a level early which basically wont happen that often, then he survived barely till round 17 on ties to make it happen and have units that aren't even 50/50.. yeah so broken lol. It's better than chicken for sure, but the problem is the same, you have to survive till then.
@@dman8988 The problem though is that it’s superior to basically every late game scaler, because you sacrifice nothing extra to run it, unlike a Dragon of Poodle where you have to compromise your team. Not to mention that it scales itself inherently since any other Lioness you buy will have been buffed.
Getting the Lioness early means you can just pivot your entire squad to a bunch of 50/50 animals with good effects lol.

It honestly amazes me how nl continuously finds new way to simultaneously buff the same pet in his team and in the shop. Thereby completely wasting one half of his shop every time

Pack 3 fried his part of the brain responsible for ordering up animals, it all started because of big iguanas

Lioness is a better can for free every turn. Run two for like two turns, then just start buy selling until you win. It’s nuts.
And it being a tier 5 just means never ever take a chicken
If you survive for it to pop... and level it up. NL got really lucky with it early. Otherwise it will take too long to scale shop pets you cant even use yet and you will just lose.

I love that they won't make the chicken a T4 so it actually has a chance, but we have a unit that does 2x what the chicken does at the low low price of free.

Chicken has been absolutely busted at T4, and is still solid in versus lobbies at T5. They are definitely going to nerf lioness anyway.
Nah man these devs are geniuses. They all the animals exist to give them data on what works and what doesn't. It would be better to bring in an OP unit and nerf it over bringing in a weak unit and trying to figure out how to make it better.

The tapir was busted before. It could copy other tapirs and it always copied the back unit. So as long as you found 2 tapirs, you'd have infinite tapirs. I went up against it just once and managed to win because I think there's a limit of like 50 summons per turn just built into the game and I had a few high health units with garlic.
I think northernlion already called10 different pets the strongest in history by now

What happened at the end 1:10:00 with the frilled dragon getting a crit vs a melon and doing 0 damage? The code math must be multiplying the effect on HP instead of changing the damage of the animal attacking? So if it does 18 damage to melon, it reduces the enemies health by 0, multiply that by 2 and it's still 0, so it does no damage. It should probably double the 18 first, then subtract the 20 from it. I guess if you go that way you might end up with some healing melons though..

@@herbertmorales333 I thought about that but I think that with this mechanic you want to incientivise players buying and selling more animals so maybe it only procs on turns where animals have been bought or/and sold and perhaps can only be applied once so you can't double up on lionesses
Maybe if you end your turn with 2 or 3 gold, so it's like you're paying for a better can. Similar to how you're paying for a pear with puppy.
I also thought it should have the same condition as the lion: its ability only activates if it's the highest tier unit in your team

How does NL have all this content? Is he playing a mod or does he have early access to some stuff? I have the game with Pack #1 but there are no other packs available to me.
He's on a test build of the game, which has the 2nd pack and a weekly pack.
The dragonfly is in desperate need of a buff. It either needs to have better scaling or a lower tier because right now it’s just a strictly worse penguin at the same tier

Bear seems to be sort-of bugged. Seen it work at times, then seen it not work at times.

F it, they should keep the lioness as is since it’s only in the weekly pack anyway it’s gonna rotate out so why not have a goofy op “everything is 50/50 in the shop”. At most it should probably be a tier 6 and not a tier 5

It is interesting cuz it makes high tier units with great abilities that are hard to scale quickly enough viable as fuck. But it makes later scalers wayyy less viable. In the right weekly’s it could be fun, but you have to design them well. And it will always be a must take which is kind of a design anti pattern
If they keep it as is then every team will have a lioness, otherwise you'll just lose against someone with a lioness.
