I do believe both of them got hydroponic pressed before this video.
This is such an under-rated joke and it hurts my soul to see such low likes

00:00 until the end!! When these two get together they bring out the inner kid in each other - in the best possible way. That’s why the only presenters ever allowed should be El Cholo Vampiros, Angie, Bob & Steph. The rest are just useless dullards in comparison. I mean that to the point where I question why the show runners keep them on the books. There’s just no comparison; the four I mentioned are on top of their game (even when some are occasionally chock-full and fully consumed by Old Nick’s Favourite Salad… 😀), whereas the others look like aggressively useless try-hards.
Sandro and Angelina are the ONLY reason to still watch Donut related videos. These two are fire together. You hear that hedge fund overlords? Pay them well before they get poached by those who know a good dynamic when they have it.

Dude, come on. It's Sandro & *Angelo*
A gear lever lock is a common additional vehicle security feature in Europe. This particular one is from the company Medvěd Blok. The installation is carried out by a professional company. So it's not a homemade gadget.
Hammer a bolt on a pulley is old as time. I was taught that in the late 80’s.
The string on the oil plug is so he doesn’t get oil on his hands.
Exactly. I was shocked they didn't get why he did that with the oil plug. I'm a dummy when it comes to cars, and even I knew right away why he did it, lol
The immediate two benefits I saw were: A: you don't get a splash of oil on your hands when the bolt comes out, and B: the bolt doesn't fall into the pan when you drop it because you were just startled by a splash of warm oil.
I’ve been a mechanic for a long time and I’ve never seen/heard of that pulley trick. I love mechanic TH-cam.
Are they even on the same universe as us? This is hilarious lmaooo

The oil drain plug being unscrewed with the string is genius for those who work at quick lube shops. When your working on them the car is always screaming hot. This keeps your fingers, even with gloves, from getting burned to heck by that oil.

16:29 this is where older Subarus are awesome. The ball joint is held into the steering knuckle by a pinch bolt. They're notorious for rusting in place if you live in the rust belt. But if you get the bolt out, all you need is to push down with a pry bar on the control arm and BINK, out comes the ball joint.
I don't think they realised it's NOT a taper fit.
The clip wasn't about breaking the seal, it's about getting the ball joint pin out of the hole...
Angelina's reaction when Sandro said the hammer hit his knee? I moved the exact same way. I felt it in my soul! I know next to nothing about cars but damn do I love watching your videos. Y'all are hilarious and I've learned a lot. Much love and Happy Holidays to all of you!!!!

Hydroponics hell yeah.
I liked the discussion about removing the door card. I would love to see a video about taking car interiors out. We NEVER get the nitty gritty about that. I'm certain that there are many tips and tricks that the pros use.
Jup, had to remove the door and interior panels on a VW T4 recently and found 2~3 somewhat useful guides😅 the rest was learning by doing😅
Angelina and Sandro is a good mix for this type of videos. Angelina is the all technical type, Sandro is the just doing it type. If you are a mechanic you know what I'm talking about.
Not saying Angelina can't do stuff but there "mechanics" that can explain everything, but if you put a wrench in their hands they fall apart. And then you have the guy that explains anything but they'll get the job done in a heartbeat.
I love watching these two, even better when they are stoned!!! Rofl!
These two are so great together, definitely a "This my favorite cousin" vibes.

Sandro and Angie about all of it: This is legit!
I would watch Angelina read the dictionary for hours. She is one beautiful funny charismatic mechanic
These 2 completely carry this channel.
These two have an INCREDIBLE amount of both theoretical and practical knowledge. I love that they're willing to share that along with their jokes. This is great edutainment content!
Angelina and Sandro, for the boys!
I could watch these two banter for days, and I would cry laughing the whole time.
Lots of love on this set!!! Angie got on top today!!! Sandro just trying to keep it low-key!!!! But the shift lock key was his favorite!!!!
Sandro and Angelina hitting that Hydoponics prior to making this video? lol
I really hope these two keep doing this. Its nice to see real in the trench mechanics talk about the right way and the super good enough way, definetly going to keep the hose clamp on a filter trick in my pocket for when that happens
And the combination between Sweet Angie who can teach it and Homeboy Sandro who manages a shop for real every day is perfect.
When they're together,the jokes just write themselves!😂😂😂
Angie and Sandro have the dynamic of a brother and sister lmao
Thanks!

For the perfect (and cheap) rust remover:
1 gallon water
13.3 ounces citric acid (from the canning aisle at your supermarket)
8.4 ounces sodium Bicarbonate (Baking soda)
1 ounce dish soap
When you add the baking soda it will fizz aggressively for about 30 seconds, then add the soap and it's ready. I used this stuff in a very rusty gas tank and unlike expensive commercial removers which only seem to work for a couple hours, it kept working for a full day. And it left the interior completely clean.
Food graded Phosporic Acid (85%), Ethanol and water gives me the best result for rust removing
@@Jaguarist Not sure why you need food grade, unless you're planning on drinking it 🤣

Fun fact, the ziptie method for carbon cleaning was the official way VW and Audi stated to clean the intake valve carbon before they switched to walnut blasting.
The brush Sandro is thinking of is a gun brush
Walnut blasting? Is that what the kids are calling it these days?
@@RoonMianwhat do you call it? it’s not sand blasting when you’re using walnut media

3:55 There are special spray bottles with a screw top and an air valve. Fill it with carb cleaner or something, pressurise with the shop air and spray to your hearts content. Upside is that you're a lot less likely to carb clean your eyeballs that way. They're also made from steel, so they last. Buy the cleaner by the gallon or drum with a big discount and ration it out to the mechanics. Saves a lot of money when you have Juanito working for you. 10 cans per Subaru gets expensive.
Yesssirrrr. I got my SureShot a few months ago and it's sooooo nice

You guys are always fun, and sometimes educational too!
With the plastic bottle, I've done something similar, and easier - drill or melt a small hole in the cap and squeeze the bottle, and a jet of cleaner will be blown out to wash parts down.
With the jack-handle and U-clamp, the joint was already loose - it was a clamp type - the problem was the rubber mounts, etc, tension made it very difficult to pull the arm low enough to release the joint.
Why is everybody in the comments tripping about them smoking...it's almost 2025 why is a little weed smoking blowing everybody's mind...mechanic's have been supporting the weed industry since before any of us were born😂😂
just a warning, if your using to bottle trick to clean, DO NOT USE A WATER BOTTLE. Soda bottles are made to hold pressure, a water bottle will explode in your hand. I've seen it. Its funny, but not cool.
@@embfixer I would add energy drinks too
Notice Sandro said what to get, Pepsi or Coke.
What the fuck is in the bottle as the cleaner?
What are you talking about exploding? They used the coke as a cleaner and poured it on stuff then scrubbed. The only pressure would be opening the soda.. but water bottles can hold like 100+ psi before they explode. Some can hold triple that.. soda bottles are made from the same exact stuff from cap to the bottles.. some just use a different plastic insert inside the cap to seal but so do some water bottles also..,
@@Z-Ack cleaning with coke can lead to a thermobaric explosion use with caution
Yo. I actually thought she was going to go into a physics lesson with the Linear force transfer into angular torque for that hack with a wrench and hammer on the pulley bolt. She's awesome but she's definitely that person they made a word limit for on essays. Like Uggah Buggah, bump bump, turn turn is enough for me haha.
You can always tell who is a teacher - sometimes they can't turn it off. Still, Angelina is a charismatic lady so I don't mind.
Angie is the physics lesson lady while Sandro be the Unga Bunga Bump Bump Turn Turn kinda guy.
Often, only Angie's pedantic explanation really explains something.
@@boyracer3477 Yup - I had no idea what the point of some of those clips was because I'm not a mechanic. Is it a new way to solve a problem is it to make a job less messy etc?
@@theaikidoka A car mechanics video is always difficult for the creator to get balanced between the rookies and the people who are already experts. The rookies need more information while the pros are insulted to be given basic information. Angie and Sandro do a good job of balance.
As always, some kind of magic between Angie and Sandro. So cool
You guys just made my afternoon glad to see you guys back keep em commin !
6:48 yep, that’s german 😁👍 „bimmer“ is a a kind of diminutive for bmw, so „bimmerplanet“ is basically „bmw planet“ 🙂
Fun fact: The hydraulic presses you see in shops are basically the same as house jacks, just in a metal frame and turned upside down.
Also HOL UP Why tf is that stock image at 3:45 just the cast of Grey's Anatomy looking at a car? XD
Also also, my favorite door panel experience? Volvo 240. Reach under the door, there's a little plastic clip, Pull that out, then just pull the door panel up and away and you're good. No pops, no snaps, no fuss, just a metal hanger on top and a plastic clip on bottom you can take out with your hands.
@@TacComControl IMO the worst are Volkswagens and BMWs....so many poppers and they are unbelievably strong, usually ending up breaking the clip or the clip holder itself on the panel
12:52 You also don't get oil all over your hands and tools.
Subaru plastic door panel clips - you can use any tool/method to pop them out. They will break no matter what! Before popping off a Subaru door panel, or upgrading your speakers in all your doors, make sure you have a few dozen new plastic clips nearby.
I've pulled off my door panels multiple times and I always break one... I just put it back on and ball
That's definitely a smart way to handle clips in cars but after a few of them I get so frustrated with them I just send it and yank the death out of every panel. This is why I have a stock pile of replacement clips and have mastered the art of plastic welding. Lol!
12:00 the wire would work in a pinch for sure.
When i was a lube tech, i just got one of the $15 bendable magnetic tools. Kept it hooked on my drain tank, found it a lot hooked on other people's though 😆.
I definitely remove a the oil drain plug the way Angie does - pressing in as I unscrew it so that I can feel when it is loose, then pull it away quickly.
13:18, Sandro gettin zesty with the oil plug got me 😂
Im stoned and I was like why are they slow?
As for that first one, I've used a ball joint press tool, which is basically a giant high-strength C-clamp, to push bushings into/out of control arms before. Thankfully I also have a 20-ton hydraulic press so such make-do is generally not needed, but on-site/roadside repairs are a thing.
Before my shop got a walnut blaster, for the intake carbon, we'd use paint thinner to soak it overnight and then stainless tig welding wires to clean most of them off, as long as they're away from the valve stems. then finish the deep ones by the valve stems with the zap straps
6:50 Fun Fact about that, certain cars from SAAB have that feature aswell. you can only take the key out if the gears are in reverse, then a lock mechanism gives the key free and locks the gear shaft in reverse
Oh my God yes there are. I was valeting and the dude TOLD me what to do and I still couldn't figure it out at first. I felt like an idiot when I had to go back and get him lol.
Cool dude, tipped 10 and was a regular that summer
Fun fact those "anti-theft" systems didn't work well because they're good ideas, they work because no one wants a clapped beemer or Saab. They could leave the key in the ignition and the windows down and still be alright
Those were the ones with the ignition key in the center console.
12:30 the entire point of that hack was to keep your fingers and wrench from getting oil on them.
Yep, But, still got it all over the plug. So, still gotta clean that unless you're throwing it away.
They over-analyzed the heck out of it.
How tf a couple "mechanics" didn't immediately pick up on that blows my mind...
They were too high to see it
@@sleepyjordan887 they must have been blitzed lol cause I just finished smoking before I watched this video and I still immediately realized what was going on.
The 8:46 laugh at “Hammering action” is because they're absolutely hammered
For the zip tie drill hack... They show the most common application which is normally a direct injected gasoline engine which has a pretty short port length. I could see using a wire brush here as well but the thing about wire brushes, if you're just a hobby guy then you often buy them at a normal retailer, they often have thin bristles and you use the same one till it's worn to the nubs and don't think to buy more till you run out. There is a big quality difference between a harbor freight or Amazon or temu wire brush vs one from a place that sells engine rebuild supplies like goodson. Where goodson sources them I dunno but I imagine if you go through Msc or granger or macmaster carr you could find an equivalent. While some hardware store brushes might be a little better than import Chinese places they may still break bristles. And the carbon will be attracted to the metal wires and coat them. They will break up the rough stuff but after the first port or 2 they will kinda just smear carbon on a surface and never really look clean. And on a diesel engine with cast iron heads the bristles will wear fast on the rough surface and not reach very deep. The zip ties can go deep in a 12 liter truck engine port and the cleanliness problem isn't an issue you just throw it away at the end of or even during the job and make more. Only the cheapest import zip ties are brittle, it's actually pretty difficult to break the better ones. Losing pieces in cylinders is really a non issue. But a cheap wire brush might leave hairs everywhere. I happen to have an ultrasonic cleaner and started using it to clean my wire brushes, both hand and rotary due to the fuel and oil soaked carbon i clean regularly while rebuilding fleet service diesel heads. But I have switched to the zip tie back for the deeper reach and throw away nature of it. You always have a reason to buy bags of zip ties. Buying multiple rotary wire brushes often means an assortment where you end up with sizes and shapes that you don't often use and they just accumulate in a drawer, your frugal mind afraid to throw them away just incase... The walnut shell blasting also works if you can afford to get a purpose setup that reclaims the media. Otherwise it just makes a big weird mess. And definitely make sure the valves are closed with that. It's only safe and non harmful in amounts i would consider less than a pinch. In carbon cleaning amounts it can definitely bend pistons and connecting rods by getting stuck in the squish/quench bands or wedge around the top ring area and cause issues.
That edible kicked in at the wrong time 😂😂
These two are hilarious!! Always make laugh. 😂

he says the same thing every time. not very funny at all
7:45 Need to lock it in the highest gear, that way there's no way the car can even move without stalling the motor.
Whenever I try to pop door panels off (especially on older cars), I pop the panel off the push pins. They're made to come straight out but the grip in the middle hole is tighter than the slot in the cardboard panel. On those, you gotta get a tool and pry on the pin rather than the panel.

Woo Hoo Sandro and Angelina.
My day's gotten better.
Merry Christmas.
That oil plug trick I do on every car I've owned besides my most recent one because its head is rather flat, no chonk to drill through.. but usually I just drill a 1-1.5mm hole through the head so once it's cracked you can tie a little loop in the wire to hold it when it comes out and wrap the wire around to do the final rotations to avoid making a mess.
Added bonus is you can just hang the drain plug off a suspension arm or somewhere in your face so you don't risk losing it or getting crap in the threads. :P
These two together are infectious.
OF COURSE we wanna see you react to more.
Sandro was even more of ball breaker this time around, but you know it's coming from a good place.
Sandro is here so I'm watching
That hose clamp around the filter at 2:23 has a hexagon head. Put the correct size wrench or socket/ratchet over it as a lever.
HAMMER
Getting thirsty huh? Two in video ads, luckily they can be skipped but jeez this is the only channel that donut is overseeing I still can stand to watch.
That oil filter one, I have done a similar thing with davco style filters(like a filter inside a plastic dome with a plastic ring that holds it down) just put an extension or something on one of the ridges of the ring and hammer away, works pretty well if you don't have the correct size tool.
Damn I'm here just puffing on my Christmas Eve joint waiting for my snowblower to warm up and it feels like I'm just chilling with my friends right now, this is freaking awesome

It does work. I cleaned a rusted nail after soaking it in a cup of coke for a few hours. For car bumper though you prolly need like a whole day (maybe even more) and tons of coke, better off just get a rust cleaner and save your day
