IMHO, the coolest WWI helmets and body armor aren't in the video; they were experimental American ones that never got put into actual usage. An expert in the armor of old designed a lot of it.
To my honest, they didn’t want to make very fancy armours because the tank, (the new invention) would go through armour like that. Not to mention more high calibre guns and ammo.
