    This was a great video and very educational! Id love it if you would do comparisons of the other angora breeds as well, like giants and satins vs. french, etc. I am getting into probably showing Angora rabbits and would love to know your opinions on the breeds like you did in this video.

    Aha! Your one comment finally helped me decide on a breed! My husband is highly allergic to animal fibers (with asthmatic symptoms), so your comment about the French fibers being on everything and everyone helped me realize that there's no way that could work for us! A German or a giant it is! Thanks ☺️.

    i appreciate this! (I came here after watching your previous video on why you got out of french angoras/but not really lol). As a pet bunny owner (netherland dwarf) and a spinner, I got the idea to combine the two, so I've been researching angoras. A lot of the videos out there avoid any negative/controversial opinions, but those can actually help make more informed decisions when presented the way you have done (i was a little shocked to learn about the german's life expectancy...i had no idea).

    I am brand new to your channel. Could I ask you how you house your German Angoras (indoors or outdoors)? I’m curious whether it plays any part in their longevity because I’ve read that indoors rabbits typically have much longer lifespans, but I’m not sure if that’s accurate. Great video by the way!

    This was helpful! I am just starting out. I am just learning to spin wool. My mom had French when I was a little girl, and now I want to raise them with my little girl. There's a French doe I am purchasing in a few weeks, and I was looking for a French buck so I could breed them. But now I want Germans, too! 😅🐇 Is this going to be the same concept as "chicken math"? Lol. The pros and cons were very helpful.

      Definitely the same concept as chicken math/ if not worse! Sorry I can’t help you there- my Rabbitry seems ever expanding! Haha

      Thank you, I appreciate you!! German vs Giants is an upcoming video I have planned! I have some gorgeous giants that I’m obsessed with, just needing another month for their coats to grow out to show them off! Of course I also have two litters on the way as well that I can’t wait to introduce

    We just purchased an Angola at an auction. How do we tell which breed of Angola it is?

    When you say "blow them out" what does that mean? And is the term shearing just cutting? Or is is using clippers?

    • @valerieellison2483
      @valerieellison2483 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      To "blow out" their coat, you use an air blower to force excess bits of hair and dandruff out of the coat. There are quite a few videos of people blowing out the coats of dog breeds like huskies. It is the same process.

    Well now I know I have a German angora , sad to hear she doesn’t have a long life span,she’s a rescue along with 2 lionheads 2 I think are Rex . I love them all very much,everything in my life is about them,she is bonded with a lionhead and the other lionheads bonded with a Rex , both lionheads are males,3 females.they have been neutered and spaded

    Hello so nice that I found you on TH-cam. I just ordered 80%anora 20% merino yarn from UK. I was thinking to buy some Angora rabbits but I do not know much about them. Your movie is very helpful and it is so good to learn about that animals. Specially that I did not know that they is soooo many different Angora rabbits sepses.
    Maybe you could tell me please if the Lionhead or Rex rabbits are also tipe of Angora rabbits? When not are they also good for spinning yarn?
    Thank you and best regards from Anna - maybe you will like to visit my podcast Knitting in Mauritius

    So do the Germans molt or not? You said they don't but then said the bunny on your lap was molting her facial fluff. Oh noooo...only 2 - 4 years?!? 😭 Do you know the lifespan of the Giants?
