You should find out who was driving the car when her friend died. Who has sealed court records. Who had a multi year license suspension in a state where it takes something along the lines of driving drunk and killing your best friend to accomplish. I'm not saying it's true, but getting a driving while revoked years after the death is public record as is how long it was suspended. That's a long suspension.

I read something about DUI and how she may have been charged with vehicular manslaughter and had the case expunged

Her ex-wife had to get a restraining order against her. Why wasn't that being looked into?
