The music and stage design is everything
One of the best shows that I have seen in awhile. BRAVO!!
I thought the sound on my computer was broken when the music started but that aside Chanel never seizes to amaze me. The set and the clothes were incredible!
I love the set, the music and the flowers. It reminded me of "It's a Small World" but with a twist of higher art.

I would like to congratulate the Chanel crew on a job very well done. I don't watch shows generally, but the circular catwalk with the center prop (would love to know how that worked), showed off the collection with plenty of charm. The classic look of the atrium was a nice touch too. And the Clothes! I liked the plain boot on all the models. Great camerawork showing textures & details. Stellar production.

KL was a master at accessorizing every one of his collections he throws in these nods to fashion’s past with a hat scarves or belts. Love his way of recirculating the past with a twist. RIP you will be missed!

they showed a lovely romantic fashion show with new style and beautiful fabrics...the boots are very simple and very save for the models to walk in, a great idea for the Show, have not seen it this summer on streets. Keep on like this Mr. Lagerfeld, so terrific looks

Simple elegant lines say it all this spring for Chanel. A stunning mix of modernity, with echos of early pre Mod 60's French elegance (bateau neckline jackets with stand up collars) and the long sleek chic 1930's length in some of the skirts. Then the signature Chanel look emerges in black and white ensembles with glorious results. Ice cream pastel colored tweeds are beautiful. Some looks are very editorial while others are supremely accessible and wearable. Several of the evening gowns were beyond description in there brilliance and loveliness. Overall a wonderful collection topped off by THE wedding dress for this Spring. It is nice to see Chanel at the top of its game Bravo to Monsieur Lagerfeld.

idk why y'all bother saying this is bad, i actually think it's innovative and nice. And lets be honest none of you can afford this so Karl Lagerfeld has no need to satisfy your likes
Queen R yeah its innovative and young, but i just think it's a little too young to be couture. and the youthfulness doesn't actually scream chanel. how old do you think these couture clients would be? of course the clothes are sent to younger celebs to promote the brand, but the clients rather more elegant (and aged) to show their belly buttons in public. i'm just disappointed because i know karl can do more sophisticated pieces of work (look @ his couture collections for chanel from 2009~ 2013 you'll know what i'm talking about).
+문인구 I somewhat agree, the belly buttons are a bit off putting for couture. That being said, mostly everything is recycled from season to season so it's probably one way for him to get away with another season of being "innovative".

The design of the super show. I would such to visit. And a collection of good, very suitable for everyday wear.
Well, Carl certainly is a creative genius! I love the creativity with the props, the gorgeous fabrics, and the combination with the layering and placement of the clothing and accessories to be worn on different occasions. Yes, these fashions would not suit everyone, as these models are tall, very thin and elegant, however the market for these exquisite creations would be wealthy clientele, and they have the occasion to wear them, and they could be made to measure, I am sure! Carl has created an entire experience, and I would love to own one of these pieces, which one, well that would take some consideration. The fabrics are just...well, exquisite!
The scisor-cut runway decors are impressive.
I love these vingiets and presentations. Only Chanel. Only Karl.

So pretty and chic. I do not understand detractors: if you don't like this collection, I wonder whether you're really into Chanel at all? It may not be the most iconic Karl-for-Chanel show of all time, but it's definitely a presentation of wearable looks that are all wholly consistent with the elegance that defines the brand. So many of the mainstays are incorporated here...

interesting collection! its like a hybrid of all of the chanel spring collections from the last couple of years. he did the belt for spring HC 2011. the similar shoe for RTW spring 2014. and the hats from spring RTW 2010
The models are beautiful! The setting was awesome! The clothes a bit ho hum except for one or two outfits.

For every season there'll be ready-to-wear and haute couture version. Plus they'll do cruise and metier-d'arts collection. So chanel do 6 shows every year.

Loved it. Want to get some boiled wool in my stash, check out my buttons, and start fringing loose tweed boucle, and see how much chiffon I have in stock. Except for the extra fancy flowers, this all looks very doable for any sewist with some experience.

Several year ago, model walk is un natural.
But, karl knows human body.
Head- forward posture is real walk posture and, body is symmetry so, head forward posture makes lumbar spine right position.

My garden mainly looked like Martha Stewart's garden with George Washington's Plantation garden in the front, Embassy row garden near the sidewalk facing the North facing front door near the side of the street parking and sidewalk and
twenty four carat orange daylily garden on the West side keeping warm near the heated and air conditioned 3 bedroom home with a basement, mezzanine, and second floor.
Everything is nice, but I THINK the world needs a fashion revolution, because in this era, fashion takes huge place and all models is just a anorexic girls and that's just sad because fashion actually needs to be eccentric, not the same bony body type. And I find Chanel company history as feministic but why does fashion still needs to show 'petite' type of woman if the real, strong women has curves, are shorter and etc. I'M NOT SAYING THAT THESE GIRLS ARE BAD but fashion could be more 'mixed' because it's the real beauty (my english is so bad but I hope you get what I mean)

I get what you mean, but you've also made it sound like if you're slim you're not a 'real woman.' Being slim doesn't make you any less of a woman than a woman with curves. Sorry if you didn't mean it that way but that's just how it comes across
I understand what you're saying but, you have to realize that the fashion industry does not go around dictating that all women need to be thin. That's the medias perception of reality and impossible beauty standards. Skinny women are cast as models for runway shows because, they serve no other purpose than being hangers for the clothing (figuratively speaking) So that the pieces look like they're floating. Their body frames allow us to see all the details within the pieces and for photographers to get good shots that showcase an accurate portrayal of the outfits. Also just because a woman is skinny it does not make her any less of a woman or not strong because she doesn't have curves.
Well I didn't mean that they're not women, I meant that it could be more mixed, because (I myself underweight and quite tall and I don't hate slim girls) but here is the reason that girls became anorexic just because they see models kind of as 'idols'

They're supposed to not smile while walking the runway, especially when it's a high end brand like Chanel. If they're smiling they'll ruin the essence of high end/ high class feel of the fashion show :)

I've never thought this before, but all these models look just SO grumpy and unhappy on that runway. Maybe it's the bold lip combined with the dark shadow over the eyes...or maybe they're just hungry....?

The objective of the model is to show off the clothes. If they had and expression it would draw away from the clothes
They're supposed to not showing any expression, especially for a high end brand like Chanel. If they're smiling they'll ruin the high end/ high class feel of the fashion show :)
