@@mariounhinged I've got my own pretty extensive theories and I don't think Goombas are really mushrooms. Even Greek for "Peach" is conveniently "dorakinon", and what is that if not portmanteau of DORAgon and KINOpio from japanese terms for Yoshi Coins and Toads. Very convenient, seeing how Wario has ω from Greek "egg" in his name and Waluigi has γ to counter Luigi's λ. Eggs are a huge source of chitin, which high-ranking Koopas might want to magically make part of their bodies. Evidence of this is how Magikoopas' Toadies will resort to wearing Shy Guy masks, if their transformation failure is even more gruesome than Spikes and Birdos who spout out attacks like Ron Weasley spitting out slugs. Snifit is the Missing Link in that evolutionary chain.

It feels relevant and worth noting that unlike every other big version of a standard enemy, when mario stomps on a big goomba, it splits into smaller goombas
And unlike something like the Atomic Boo, you don’t usually see them combine together in the first place; it’s just one goomba that’s grown huge, possibly even with assistance from someone like Kamek. It’s possible that this is a more cartoony form of a mushroom budding or something.
I appreciate the way you insert yourself into the topics you discuss, by literally cutting out holes into backgrounds and letting your webcam shine through. You are inside of Nintendo, you are within the google search of goombah, you are the goombah. It is a strong editing choice, well done.
Alot of creators have been doing that nowadays. Some even inserting their entire bodies in gaming worlds. Its pretty cool and hilarious at the same time.
I would like to note that despite Mario's hat only being on the top Goomba, he is still able to control the Goomba on the bottom of the stack. This implies they are a collective hive mind when they stack together.
We are seeing a simplified version of multiple fungal colonies combining their hyphae to make a stronger fungal superstructure; like the geth from Mass Effect they become more than the sum of their parts
The goomba stacking becoming smarter and stronger is a great theory. They're mushrooms. Mushrooms communicate and exchange nutrients with eachother through mycelium. It is reasonable to assume that the goombah gets stronger and gets more nutrients by simply stacking on top of eachother. The top goombah probably being the smartest one as he's the one with the first idea to stack up
I don't think Bowser recruited the Goombas. Like you suggested, Goombas might have been the defenders of the kingdom. As defenders, they must aspire for strength lest that strength become unappealing and they, by proxy, become unwilling to defend. Aspiring for strength will imply admiration of said strength in their role models. Now, Bowser makes a show of strength absolutely no one else in the kingdom can, and thus I propose the idea that they themselves came to the conclusion that a kingdom of cowards like the toads in the mushroom kingdom is not only not worth protecting but that the values that they admire can be found elsewhere with Bowser. Thus they betray the kingdom, thus they join Bowser without him needing to strike any kind of deal.
He did, they are established to have sided with Bowser as seen in their descriptions like the one from Mario Superstar Baseball. _"Though Goombas once lived in peace in the Mushroom Kingdom, they betrayed their homeland to side with Bowser."_ It's also implied that the siding with Bowser was something so egregious, it warrants the manual and Encyclopedia stating they don't deserve mercy. We also know there are still Goombas living in the Mushroom Kingdom as seen with both times we've seen Goomba Village. Alongside the Gloombas that live beneath Toad Town, and the Wild Goombas of Goomba Woods. Said Goombas like the ones in Goomba village don't like the ones that sided with Bowser. There is probably more if given a Goomba wouldn't stand out like a sore thumb if they were to enter Toad Town as established by a Hammer Bros.' dialogue _"Since you once lived in the Mushroom Kingdom you'll go unnoticed."_ Since it's implied there is still a good amount of Goombas living in the Mushroom Kingdom, it's noteworthy non of them actual are part of the Mushroom Kingdom's defenses since it's established they have an all Toad Security Force. We also know through Super Mario World Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's New Island, and Mario and Luigi Partner's in Time there was already Goombas part of the Koopa Kingdom probably having joined up a previous Kuppa ruler. Bowser is actually implied to convince others to join him or work for him, even if they might not even like him. The manual of Super Mario Bros 3 states under the enemy section. "A host of new characters have joined Bowser and his turtle tribe. With this information on these new enemies, you'll be well prepared." This is basically telling us minions like Boom Boom, Boos, Bob-ombs, Spiny Cheep Cheeps, ParaGoombas, and Chain Chomps joined the Koopa Troop in this game. This would also imply the Koopalings were hired as well. King Boo the king of all Boos seems to be good buddies with Bowser. King Bob-omb is a minion of Bowser and has some lines of dialogue implying he doesn't really like Bowser too much. Wigglers in the SMB4SMW manual were stated to be basically unaligned. But in future games it's established Bowser had at one point recruited some Wigglers as he summons them and calls them his minions. Rexs are implied to have been recruited by Bowser and taken with him to places like the Beanbean Kingdom or Vibe Island. The Stairface Ogres are implied to have been conquered. Etc. Given all this context of new minions we haven't seen before showing up future games, this would imply they are new recruits to the Koopa Troop. Bowser is a conqueror and not every member of the turtle tribe is a turtle.
@@Eris1987 yes, many tribes are seen to join or be conquered by Bowser, but none of the quotes you mention ever imply action from Bowser to convince minions like the Goombas to join his forces - as in, the scenario in the video has Bowser make the request to join forces first, and the scenario I present has Bowser accept a request to join his army later The difference being who makes the request to join the army: whether Bowser asking for new minions or the groups asking to join his army (i don't doubt conquered troops will have enrolled in the army by necessity, law, or forcefully; the Goombas, however, seeing as they are a race native to the Mushroom Kingdom, are probably not among these conquered species)
@@JackieJKENVtuber I would believe the recruiting was when they sided with him. I believe he would have to offer them something for them to side with him. Yeah at least the Stairface Ogres were conquered as Odyssey implies. The rest are outright stated to have join his army, with only some like King Bob-omb not all the way liking Bowser.
What’s interesting is that in the Paper Mario games, we see many friendly Goombas living with their own communities and generally being friendly with the Mushroom Kingdom which sort of makes the situation feel like a people being divided into two as part of a wider conflict. There’s also Goomboss which is actually a noble goomba that does actually capture Mario in 64 DS and is an early game miniboss. Maybe the goombas under him are the ones who betrayed the mushroom kingdom for power (which would fit the whole Babel thing you’re going with lmao) Another detail is how browsers minions in Browser inside story including the goombas had to be brianwashed or captured to fight against browser. Maybe the goombas with him know they are cannon fodder but see it as a way to justify a united end goal since it wouldn’t make sense for them to remain ally with him even after Browser is kicked out of his own kingdom
We see more parts of Goomba Village showing up in another game. We know they have a form of distaste for the Goombas that sided with Bowser. _"Though Goombas once lived in peace in the Mushroom Kingdom, they betrayed their homeland to side with Bowser."_ It's also implied that the siding with Bowser was something so egregious, it warrants the manual and Encyclopedia stating they don't deserve mercy. ParaGoombas eventually joined the Turtle Tribe in SMB3. King Goomboss was a normal Goomba turned into a King by Bowser using the Star Rod on him during the events of Paper Mario. He's not like King Whomp, King Bob-omb, or King Boo. The Goombas are aware of it but as stated in their descriptions no matter how many times they get stomped, the keep fighting in hopes of turning the tables on Mario. But I will note it's mostly the Koopa Troop that doesn't show respect to the Goombas, at least at first. The Koopalings once looked down at them but eventually came to respect them.
I watch this during my lunch break; how am I going to go back to work like everything was normal? This perspective is so new, so mind-blowing, so distracting, I'll never finish my tasks. 👍👍

I think the fact that the CANNON FODDER enemies who literally engage in what could only be described as suicidal combat engagements are only on that side because something made them switch says a lot. Like they would rather die to Mario EN MASSE than live under the rule of Peach. Also i think Gombette doesnt fall for you in a stack because youre a stack, she just cant see you like you need to get on her level for her to realize youre there. She falls for you just as much as she did when youre without a stack, its just that for the parts where you need a stack you specifically ONLY need to reach her height. Theres (as far as i remember) no point where a Goombette is on eye level with you but you still need a stack because she wants you taller.
Given enough gold, Wario will somehow come out on top as the best surgeon in the world. Now, whether people will actually pay him to do that is still up in the air.
This is so cool and funny. I feel like i walked into a room of someone rambling about a hyperfixation i know little to nothing about .10/10 let us stack upon each other so we can take on god.
honestly in my opinion this is the best type of unhinged mario content you use actual mario lore and in-universe explanations for these theories and analyses, sounding crazy while also sounding very reasonable in terms OF mario this type of content is AMAZING and i havent even watched most of your videos yet, im excited to learn more from you
I think Goomba's use a boot because it's like fighting fire with fire. They can't exactly jump and they don't have arms, so maybe the best they can do is wearing a giant magic shoe that lets them avenge their fallen brothers in a humorous contrapasso. 'Stomping the stomper' so to speak.
That was brilliant. Made a lot of sense; what little thought I've given the goombas myself led me in a similar direction about them being a dejected underclass in the Mushroom Kingdom and when they switched sides over it, being treated little better by Bowser.
I'm surprised you never brought up those big goombahs that divide into smaller goombahs when stomped. Or how in Sticker Star the first boss and some event battles were combined goombahs
love the way you pronounce "goombáz" i think a big part of why Goombas were an underclass is simple anatomy: they have no hands, which makes writing difficult. Peach's castle probably needs a lot of clerical work, which Goombas would struggle with, likely drawing mockery; and we all know there's no worse sound than a Toad laughing but, compared to the often simple and child-like Toads, Goombas can be pretty smart. It's telling that in both Paper Mario games (there are ONLY two, shut up shut up SHUT UP,) the Goomba companions are the ones who know everything about everyone
To add to your arguement, many types of mushrooms will connect with others of its kind forming a colony. Since goombas are indeed mushrooms stacking being a form of fusion is a very plausible idea. Goomba fusion is now cannon, you've convinced me.
I know it's probably just a joke, but the sin in the Tower of Babble was thinking they were as good as God, the tower could never physically hit the heavens
Great Video! I have believed for a while that Goombas are internally some kind of Fungus creature and by touching one another they can transmit information from organism to organism. I found it bizarre that Mario is able to seemingly mind control not only a single Goomba in Odyssey with his hat, but an entire stack of them, and control the feet at the bottom of what appears to be a stack of individual organisms while visually only "inhabiting" the top of the pole. I was somewhat surprised to see you did not explore this idea some, but another interesting tid-bit that may lend to the idea of Goombas being able to link to each other on a cellular level by mere touch is found in the remake of Super Mario 64 for the DS. The boss battle "Goomboss" is fought in that game and once defeated, he (Who is in essence a very large Goomba with some extra superficial features) explodes into a group of smaller "normal" sized Goombas. This same game features Tiny-Huge island, a level which showcases Goombas in varying sizes. Perhaps each individual Goomba Cell is in itself a distinct Goomba? perhaps all Goombas act as a sort of interconnectable component? To speculate a little more, maybe if given enough time Goomba Tower's can even slowly merge into each other and become larger singular Goombas. Anyways Your points of discussion are great and I love the comparisons you make between Goombas and the lower class.
_" I have believed for a while that Goombas are internally some kind of Fungus creature "_ Shiitakes specifically which are affected by blorbs just like Toads are, and they both have skeletons. _" The boss battle "Goomboss" is fought in that game and once defeated, he (Who is in essence a very large Goomba with some extra superficial features) explodes into a group of smaller "normal" sized Goombas. @@Eris1987 I have always heard that the canon of paper mario is different from the canon of regular mario, so maybe the Goomboss from SM64DS works differently from paper goomboss? Even still, if Goombas have some kind of skeletal structure, that doesnt nescesarilly mean the "meat" around it isn't some kind of transitional fungus. Its difficult to imagine that "big goombas can become little goombas" and "little goombas can touch each other to share neural activity" isnt somehow related. Naturally, this is all just speculation.
@@vaporwaveskeleton9224 the Paper Mario games are part of the Canon of Mario Tales. I never said there was meat around it, I just said they a shiitakes with skeletons, this is a high fantasy world after all that doesn't abide by our world's rules.
Can we talk about how the goombas are no longer hostile in super mario wonder? Half the time theyre paying no mind to you at all. Perhaps theyve broken away from the koopa regime? An independent party of sorts??
It's worth noting that the 1993 movie Goombas are slightly based on the galoombas design, mostly on the way the different colors on their head "scales" are showed
I don't know where you got this from. They were intended to be Koopa Troopas aka NokoNokos, but their name was changed to Goombas to prevent confusion with Bowser who was referred to as King Koopa. Also, there is very little things shared between that old movie and the Canon of Mario Tales.
Definitely significant as well, i think, that Goomboss- seemingly the main leader of the Goombas (think King Bob Omb to the Bob Ombs)- is one of the earlierst bosses youll face in SM64DS, and the one to be holding Mario captive. At this point, Mario is ingrained into Goomba culture, presumably being known as a 'destroyer of world' type. Capturing Mario was their onlu victory, one that is very, very short lived. It's like if a guy who commited genocide on your race wss captured, and then immidiately freed by his pet dog. Poor goombas.
In the first two Paper Mario games which are atleast somewhat cannon, goombas seem to be second class citizens. Those goombas are the ones that didn't defect to the Koopa Kingdom, and they STILL treat them poorly, possibly by association to the defectors. When we see them in those games, they are in a small, probably one family town or a literal crime-ridden slum. They are NOT treated well.

Also, cough Goombella cough. The Goomba Family like I stated before is well liked and we know there are more Goombas in the Grasslands of the Mushroom Kingdom as seen in the Mario Party Minigame and we have seen friendly Goombas in Party Events I believe one called a friend of Toad. We know there is enough Goombas living in the Mushroom Kingdom for one from Bowser's Army walking around Town to be stated to not stand out.

It would have been a good idea to research the Minion Quest side mode from the 3DS remake of Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga. It's about a humble goomba that helped Bowser's army from Fawful and his brain washing mocha flavoured gas.
I think it’s reasonable to suspect that the games themselves are Mushroom Kingdom propaganda, and that the defectors from the Mushroom Kingdom being depicted as weak, insignificant, angry little nobodies may have something to do with that.
It was mostly just those Goombas, there is still quite a few living within the Mushroom Kingdom. Mario Superstar Baseball says _"Though Goombas once lived in peace in the Mushroom Kingdom, they betrayed their homeland to side with Bowser."_ It's also implied that the siding with Bowser was something so egregious, it warrants the manual and Encyclopedia stating they don't deserve mercy. The greatest strength of the Goomba tower is that it can increase in height linearly with the number of participants. No extra support structure, no wider base. One Goomba adds one height, every time. If architects could harness their teamwork, there would be no limits -- endless bridges, mountainous towers, space elevators aplenty.
I really liked this. Funny. Thought provoking. Good to listen to while I play Solitaire. Im surprised this channel doesn't have more followers. Subbing and looking forward to seeing the channels growth. Also, Im totally down to be a goomba on a stack making our way to heaven.
A theory ive had for a while is that, while bowser is The Koopa King, the other kings of the enemy races seem to defer to him. It could be that they act as a coalition (especially considering how they seem to willingly follow bowser) due to some of the harsher conditions that the mario world holds. I mean, my headcannon for the actual reason why bowser keeps kidnapping peach and invading the mushroom kingdom is that, due to the fact that his kingdom is surrounded by freaking lava, they literally need to invade other nations for food and other resources. As for the goombas, theres a non-zero chance that they were a vassal state of the mushroom kingdom that defected to bowser considering that hes actually a surprisingly good leader. If bowser was a bad leader, he would most likely have been deposed after one of his defeats to mario, while he was still injured and unable to brute force his way into staying king. He has to be doing something right after all. I feel that, of all the different bits of mario content, its the RPG's that flesh out Goombas the most, with them talking with others, and in turn, being given character and personality. The most obvious example of this would be the first two paper mario games, with them fleshing out the world, adding the goomba king and also showing far off lands that have little interaction with the koopa and mushroom kingdoms. Theres the idea instilled that the vast majority of the actual people in this world have no affiliation to the kingdoms, and are not obligated to follow the respective rulers of each of their races. As for goombas specifically, theres a trope of them having widely varying amounts of intelligence/individuality from goomba to goomba, with a good indicator being if they have any visual traits that differ from normal goombas. Hell, the joke was that goombas can be absolute know it alls. In regards to this affecting the mainline mario stuff, its not impossible that bowser is employing some goomba tacticians, that is, if they do keep that trope Ok, im gonna finish ranting now because i have had basically no sleep and have been doing things for two days straight
Honestly I wasn't expecting much of the video when I clicked on it but MAN this is a masterpiece. You're a genius. Reading way too much into barely nothing at all? Hell yeah sign me up

Goombas are, no joke, my second-favorite video game enemy of all time precisely for how lovably pathetic they are, so I feel this video on a spiritual level.
I think in sticker star, the first boss is a King Goomba that is made out of 4x4 little goomba wall. Of course it's powered by the powerfull crown sticker, but it speaks to the unity of goomba-kind.
The Super Mario World goomba reminded me of the glazed jelly donuts at a local donut shop. Kinda messed up but I liked eating the donuts while watching SMW videos on YT, helped me feel immersed
I like to imagine that the goomba towers were inspired by people's reactions to the pokemon vs a billion lions debate, and people saying the lions would win by stacking themselves all on top of each other and making a lion ladder. And the goombas read that and said "Dude... If stacking us on top of ourselves makes us into a ladder will make us unbeatable... We should do that ourselves!" and then another goomba says "Yeah! Mario's main attack is jumping on us. How can he jump on us if we're all stacked on top of each other?"
Big goombas in nsmbw split into smaller goombas when you jump on them, bricking that they can fuse in some way, Also, are we going to ignore the fact that a goomba can carry 10 other goombas on it’s head without a lick of extra effort, it can literally carry ten times it’s own body weight effortlessly, Or how about the fact that when Mario captures a goomba then starts stacking, the bottom goombas aren’t in control of their own movement, the goon a on top is, implying some kind of hive mind situation.
I hope the goomba finds heaven and transcends reality bc I wanna see a goomba in real life. I bet they would taste so good, and if you stacked enough of them they would make great listeners. 😊 😁
In all honesty, assuming Bowser recruited the goombas and given how his personality is portrayed in the series, I think Bowser has a ton of respect for the little guys. The only one I can think of him having been rude to is the Flag Goomba from "Minion's Quest" and only because he caused a world of headache with his clumsiness in the Beanbean kingdom. I don't think he even so much as insults the goombas he rescues in Bowser's Inside Story, just asks what went wrong

While he does cause them trouble based on his decisions, there is a reason they respect him. Meanwhile it's mostly other members of the Koopa Troop that have looked down upon the Goombas. For example, the Koopalings once looked down on the Goombas only to later gain respect for them.
Goombas use of the late Napoleonic war strategy of "Napoleon can't be at 3 places at the same time", whenever Mario advances in one region 5 goomba divisions advance to retake gains and invade.
A note on the part about the Goombas on the Darker Side of the Moon; in many folklores and mythologies, the Moon *is* Heaven or at least the entrance or first layer of Heaven. By bringing their stack all the way to the Moon, let alone the Darker Side, the final resting place of the game so to speak, the Goombas have successfully built their very own Tower of Babel and defied God.
19:20 - I have a feeling you'll love the music video for "Horse" by Salvatore Ganacci in which a sort of... animal witch man(?) saves his wildlife friend from having their heads slammed by uncaring and ruthless humans before returning the favor and escaping in a giant drive able shoe. It genuinely feels like a fairy tale you're watching take place right before you in an unreal graphical fidelity imagination can't really reproduce.
Have you played Bowser's Minions? Maybe the most important piece of Goomba literature to me, certainly the most something Goomba something of all time. And we both speak the same language so I can recommend it! Everything's coming up Goomba.
The interpretation of the Tower of Babel that I've always heard, was that the hubris of man led them to build the tower to reach the heavens, to reach God. A sort of short cut to heaven, and that's why God retaliated.
Yes, you are correct. Really unnecessary for people to start a video like this as some sort of “gotcha” when it only shows their ignorance. If you’re going to insult the Bible’s credibility and God, don’t half-butt it. Also, when he said “God in the Old Testament”, that is an ancient heresy called the demiurge that claims God in the OT isn’t the same as God in the NT (Jesus), which completely disregards the Christian concept of the Trinity (one God in three persons, Father (the One whom no one has seen), Son (Jesus Christ, who is a historically attested figure) and Holy Spirit (whom is sent from the Father after trusting in Christ to be our Comforter and witness to us). Jesus had moments of righteous fury and even warns us of the coming wrath, sounds pretty similar, actually the exact same, to God in the OT. But with all this, God is slow to anger and merciful, so that’s why the New Testament preaches the Good News, or Gospel, to all that you can be spared of this judgement by His grace. For this reason Jesus came, died on the cross and rose again on the third day for us, knowing nothing we could do would ever be enough as we’d still need to be punished for our previous sins, as to a perfect, holy and righteous God, He cannot allow people to be in His presence unclean.
@@bobbobsled675 It actually quite plainly shows your ignorance you can’t even come up with an argument as to why I and the vast majority of people who can attest to this are wrong, all you can say is “lol it’s just a video get over yourself”. I would also extend these "shelled" lisard who can survive witohut one, pretty similar to more evolved bird-people or CHOujin-ZOku, whose enemy is the blue-dressed blonde space lady.

Not even five seconds in, and somehow the Tower of Babel is being brought up in a video about Goombas. Yeah, this is gonna be a good one.
Thats just how they reproduce 😅
They're like tribbles
There's a big goomba as a boss in New Super Mario Bros for the Nintendo DS and if you ground pound him three times he just falls over and disappears.
goomba stacking as a metaphor for class consciousness

I appreciate the way you insert yourself into the topics you discuss, by literally cutting out holes into backgrounds and letting your webcam shine through. You are inside of Nintendo, you are within the google search of goombah, you are the goombah. It is a strong editing choice, well done.
Alot of creators have been doing that nowadays. Some even inserting their entire bodies in gaming worlds. Its pretty cool and hilarious at the same time.
Reaching heaven through unionization. Your fight with god? No, Our fight with god.
A group of people coming together to become greater than themselves, eventually killing God? Sounds like any other JRPG.
The top goombah probably being the smartest one as he's the one with the first idea to stack up
This is the unhinged Mario content I desire.
_"Though Goombas once lived in peace in the Mushroom Kingdom, they betrayed their homeland to side with Bowser."_
It's also implied that the siding with Bowser was something so egregious, it warrants the manual and Encyclopedia stating they don't deserve mercy.
There is probably more if given a Goomba wouldn't stand out like a sore thumb if they were to enter Toad Town as established by a Hammer Bros.' dialogue _"Since you once lived in the Mushroom Kingdom you'll go unnoticed."_
Since it's implied there is still a good amount of Goombas living in the Mushroom Kingdom, it's noteworthy non of them actual are part of the Mushroom Kingdom's defenses since it's established they have an all Toad Security Force.
With this information on these new enemies, you'll be well prepared."
This is basically telling us minions like Boom Boom, Boos, Bob-ombs, Spiny Cheep Cheeps, ParaGoombas, and Chain Chomps joined the Koopa Troop in this game.
@@Eris1987 yes, many tribes are seen to join or be conquered by Bowser, but none of the quotes you mention ever imply action from Bowser to convince minions like the Goombas to join his forces - as in, the scenario in the video has Bowser make the request to join forces first, and the scenario I present has Bowser accept a request to join his army later
The difference being who makes the request to join the army: whether Bowser asking for new minions or the groups asking to join his army (i don't doubt conquered troops will have enrolled in the army by necessity, law, or forcefully; the Goombas, however, seeing as they are a race native to the Mushroom Kingdom, are probably not among these conquered species)
Thank you for this video. My kind are oft misunderstood, and seeing someone appreciate us is beyond words.
Maybe the goombas under him are the ones who betrayed the mushroom kingdom for power (which would fit the whole Babel thing you’re going with lmao)
Another detail is how browsers minions in Browser inside story including the goombas had to be brianwashed or captured to fight against browser. Maybe the goombas with him know they are cannon fodder but see it as a way to justify a united end goal since it wouldn’t make sense for them to remain ally with him even after Browser is kicked out of his own kingdom
all wars are like that
We see more parts of Goomba Village showing up in another game. We know they have a form of distaste for the Goombas that sided with Bowser.
_"Though Goombas once lived in peace in the Mushroom Kingdom, they betrayed their homeland to side with Bowser."_
It's also implied that the siding with Bowser was something so egregious, it warrants the manual and Encyclopedia stating they don't deserve mercy.
We also have the Gloombas that live beneath Toad Town, and the Wild Goombas of Goomba Woods.

We also know through Super Mario World Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's New Island, and Mario and Luigi Partner's in Time there was already Goombas part of the Koopa Kingdom probably having joined up a previous Kuppa ruler.

Yeah but its a really funny thing like you need to have the help of other Goombas to reach the Love of your life

I can't get enough of you saying the word Goomba. I love it every time, and look forward to the next time you say it. Great video. New fan
Or how in Sticker Star the first boss and some event battles were combined goombahs
man do i love your theories
The most important video of the millenia. A national treasure. Thank you for this glory.
I like how creative he got with the webcam. It’s obvious he has no lighting and no camera quality, but he makes it unique.
love the way you pronounce "goombáz"
i think a big part of why Goombas were an underclass is simple anatomy: they have no hands, which makes writing difficult. Peach's castle probably needs a lot of clerical work, which Goombas would struggle with, likely drawing mockery; and we all know there's no worse sound than a Toad laughing
but, compared to the often simple and child-like Toads, Goombas can be pretty smart. It's telling that in both Paper Mario games (there are ONLY two, shut up shut up SHUT UP,) the Goomba companions are the ones who know everything about everyone
"what's he gonna do send everybody to hell?" i love how you have a personal vendetta against god its hilarious
The?
Answer to the boot is simple. Gombas are defeated by stomping on them so to a gomba. The ultimate weapon is a boot that lets them stomp on Mario.
Subscribed instantly hearing the bit about God owing you answers. Hell yeah dude
To add to your arguement, many types of mushrooms will connect with others of its kind forming a colony.
Since goombas are indeed mushrooms stacking being a form of fusion is a very plausible idea.
Goomba fusion is now cannon, you've convinced me.
The goomba stack is the main combat mechanic of the Square Enix RPG, World of Final Fantasy.
I know it's probably just a joke, but the sin in the Tower of Babble was thinking they were as good as God, the tower could never physically hit the heavens
"i think...i may be reading too much into the goomba. i see myself in the goomba."
why is that line so fucking raw dude
_" I have believed for a while that Goombas are internally some kind of Fungus creature "_
Shiitakes specifically which are affected by blorbs just like Toads are, and they both have skeletons.
_" The boss battle "Goomboss" is fought in that game and once defeated, he (Who is in essence a very large Goomba with some extra superficial features) explodes into a group of smaller "normal" sized Goombas. "_
Probably a visual thing since we know he was a single Goomba turned into a king by Bowser using the power of the Star Rod.
Maybe Big Goombas can just split into smaller Goombas.

@@Eris1987 I mean, the police officers in the movie are also based on Koopas, they're meant to be quite literally Koopa's troops
@@arielglr7177 possibly, in development phases this is what they were intended to be but changed to avoid confusion.

In regards to this affecting the mainline mario stuff, its not impossible that bowser is employing some goomba tacticians, that is, if they do keep that trope
Ok, im gonna finish ranting now because i have had basically no sleep and have been doing things for two days straight

The term for a group of mushrooms is called a cluster or a troop.

Big goombas in nsmbw split into smaller goombas when you jump on them, bricking that they can fuse in some way,
Also, are we going to ignore the fact that a goomba can carry 10 other goombas on it’s head without a lick of extra effort, it can literally carry ten times it’s own body weight effortlessly,
Or how about the fact that when Mario captures a goomba then starts stacking, the bottom goombas aren’t in control of their own movement, the goon a on top is, implying some kind of hive mind situation.
Sorry bricking should be proving

In all honesty, assuming Bowser recruited the goombas and given how his personality is portrayed in the series, I think Bowser has a ton of respect for the little guys.
The only one I can think of him having been rude to is the Flag Goomba from "Minion's Quest" and only because he caused a world of headache with his clumsiness in the Beanbean kingdom.

Bowser is shown to care about his minions in all his self aggrandizing.
Goombas of the world, unite!
I can't imagine getting a pissed Dennis Hopper to say "Koopa Troopa" over and over again haha
Everything's coming up Goomba.
this video isn’t at all what i expected, it was way better
your channel is so great man
The interpretation of the Tower of Babel that I've always heard, was that the hubris of man led them to build the tower to reach the heavens, to reach God.
@@XX_MelobraacRedux A little overboard, but I know what you mean.
You feeling the need to say all of this in response to subjective religous examples in a goomba video only shows YOUR ignorance
@@bobbobsled675 It actually quite plainly shows your ignorance you can’t even come up with an argument as to why I and the vast majority of people who can attest to this are wrong, all you can say is “lol it’s just a video get over yourself”. Classic deflection tactic but also, if you post to the internet, do you think no one has a right to say what’s on their mind now that it’s in the public eye? You can’t have your cake and eat it too.
@@XX_MelobraacRedux This isn't a discussion or argument that has any merit in continuing. You are both just looking for a fight, and if so, do it somewhere else. Please?
Goombas were my favorite Species of anamys in mario so it hurts me to find not a big fan base about them
Most interesting university lecture I’ve listened to
The 1:50 minute intro, suddenly cutting into "Hi, I'm Mario Unhinged, and this is a video about goombaahs" hooked me instantly.
13:52 Seeing a Judas Priest album cover then made me an instant fan.
the very end of the video tho
😙👌
yessss
