Firstly, you are one of my fav reactors BECAUSE you don't (always) react to the latest songs (like so many other reactors). Secondly, thanks for giving Momoland some attention. Not a lot of people do, sadly 😔. It's true that this group was a magnet for negative publicity and mishaps. But all those things only make me feel more sorry for the girls. They were active from 2016-2023, with the releases slowing down every year. I also found out very late that they had released some more songs. And even better, I found out those songs were great! Of course, it's Momoland, so don't expect deep lyrics or anything groundbreaking. But they are very catchy, simply enjoyable pop songs. They are also both collabs. They are: - Wrap Me In Plastic - Yummy Yummy Love
I like checking out new releases but honestly I usually vibe most with older groups and songs! I don't have as much time to record as I would like otherwise I would react to everything! LOL
@SirAustin Relatable. I also check out the new releases, but even though I started getting into kpop during 3rd gen, I often feel myself drawn to 2nd gen the most. Must be an age thing 😬 Totally unrelated: have you ever checked out the girlgroup CSR? To me, they are an interesting group (4th gen). Not that they are in my top 5 or anything, but I feel they do fill a bit of the void left by the disbandments of groups like G-Friend and Lovelyz, and the general shift to girl crush / girl power. Also, a group that, unfortunately, is on the brink of disbandment, named Alice (old name was Elris), suddenly dropped 2 new songs this week. No mv's unfortunately, but maybe you could react to just the youtube songs, or maybe there are lyric videos? I quite liked the songs.
jjan koong kwang is their debut song, its very silly and fun while wonderful love is their first comeback with all of the members and a very pure concept, those songs are very underrated as well, they also have a predebut song called Welcome to Momoland which is my personal favorite that they performed during their survival show.
Momoland members fav songs were "Fly" at first and then "Merry Go Round" (a gift to their fandom with the same name or "Merries" in short) the MV sound like a goodbye with those old footage from all backstages since the beginning of their career
I really miss Momoland so much actually there my first favorite group since I entered the kpop world because of the hit song boom boom and baam I like there all of songs it's so catchy and I like the choreography thank u for reaction sir Austin even tho they disband now but good luck for all of the members journey and we will still support them 💪💪
Momoland's Lineups: November 2016 to March 2017= 7 Members March 2017 to March 2019= 9 Members March 2019 to December 2019= 7 Members (OG lineup, new members removed) December 2019 to February 2023= 6 Members The thing is, the lineup changes are confusing. Momoland started promoting as 7 again in March 2019, though Taeha and Yeonwoo (who promoted in the 7 member comeback I'm So Hot) were only 'officially' removed in November 2019, right before Thumbs Up came out. Daisy was still technically a member during I'm So Hot and Thumbs Up, only being kicked out in May 2020.
freeze is the only mv out of this list that came before bboom bboom. before they did tend to stick to a cuter concept but the sound was slightly more varied. after bboom bboom their songs followed a certain sound more strictly i feel like
Wonderful Love is my favorite. I do like boom boom and baam as well. You should check out their live Wonderful love and freeze they did. but funny it's part is if you watch the one that has the other idols reaction.
chiri chiri and banana chacha are more like kid songs? but they somehow fit momoland so well and they are really good songs, i would recommend checking them out. pinky love a japanse song is also really good (they do also have a korean version of pinky love) and going with the other comments, wonderful love is such a good song also and the live performance for it is a must watch.
They became 7 in "I'm so hot" Daisy and Tahea out. Then 6 in the others songs. This was that kind of group that reactors only know 1 ou 2 names, Nancy of course and sometimes JooE (pronounce as Ju i). I always like how Nayun gave Maknae vibes and in the reallity she was the 3rd oldest. Jane was my bias, still follow her in her youtube channel.
their b-sides are the best, If you plan to react to them, I recommend love sick and what planet are you from, for title tracks i recommend yummy yummy love (their last cb) and wondeful love edm ver.
They start with 7, pass to 9, return to 7 and finish with 6 since 2019 till their disband last year. Since 2019 (I'm so hot) they drop only a song per year. Pity no one of them follow till now a music path, Hyebin and Nayun became actress, Jane keep traveling, Nancy modeling, Ahin start also actress classes, JooE after Queendom Puzzles , Gym is where we can find her nowadays. After "Yummy Yummy Love" X Natty Natasha in 2022 i think, they expect a first full album, but nothing happens, and in 2023 their contract expire and none of them wanted to renew, and Lappilus were born in their place. But Lappilus are follow the same path, 1 year with nothing knew, MLD, really sucks in k-pop groups. This year we saw their boys k-pop group also disband TNF (ex-T1419)
hi austin ik that you already reacted to some WEKI MEKI's songs (you liked them pretty much in your reaction) can you please react to them again i love them so much and it makes me so sad that everyone is saying that it is probably the last year before their disband :.(
They used to be nine, but the following comebacks they were losing members. Taeha > Daisy > Yeonwoo. The last comebacks were just with 6 members and sometimes the promotions had less due to some health problems if I'm not mistaken
Yeah its just sucks MLD entertainment just wastes the members talents and they decided to leave and the member daisy she said she kick out of the group and other members Momoland promotion a lot got sick and not to force them to perform but to rest!
I like Momoland. But as you say, many of their songs are reminiscent of Boom Boom because it was a tremendous success, but I feel like it pigeonholed them.
I miss MOMOLAND. They did disband on February 14th 2023. Kpop needs this kind of goofy silly vibes again..

the guy in the freeze mv is kim jaehwan. he was in wanna one and is now a solo artist

Momoland the first Kpop group i ever watched , still have a soft spot for them, sad they disbanded.
My merry heart cries evetime i miss MMLD. i really really wished that JooE got the attention she deserved on queendom puzzle :(.
