It's a shame you don't live by me. I have about 20' or so of that tubing that may worked for you.
    Sweet setup

Oh man! Yeah I would have loved to get some good tubing for it. Nothing from Home Depot or Lowe’s would have worked. I found something similar but it was super thin and fragile. I thought the sun would have corroded it in a month. Haha!! Thanks I’m glad you like the setup. Thanks anyway

@@Escapingthedailygrind oh i bet they didn't. I think the former home owner bought this tubing for the sump pump for our old pool. Oh yeah probably. You are very welcome my friend. You have a wonderful week brother.🙏🏻🙏🏻

Oh ok I’ll be looking for some pool supply stores now. Thanks for the heads up

@@Escapingthedailygrind yeah the pump they had and i still have is a portable version. They probably picked it up at HomeDepot or 84 Lumber. Pool stores do carry hoses for pool pumps and stuff that may work for your setup.

That's incredible! A 55 gallon drum is only around 100 or 200 bucks. You're saying that 275g was not much more? Dang!

The 55 gallon one was $75, this was $150, so double price but to do two 55 gallons which I was going to do, would have been same price and this holds 150 more gallons

Btw, it was a place that buys them all used and re-conditions them. All of them had pickles or olive oil in them, no chemicals or petroleum products

I'm surprised the HOA allows you to collect any runoff since they are so strict about what animals you can keep. It waffles back and forth in my city whether its legal to collect runoff or not but it's kind of ridiculous IMO to try to prevent collection.

It is really silly for sure. So Texas as a whole has been a bit strict in the past because they say you’re stealing from their aquifer. But if your using it, then your using less from the city water which is from the aquifer. But it’s about money and not really how much usage. It is really silly. Luckily the HOA is fine with the water collection. And they allow chickens, but that’s it. I sure wish I could get goats!

@@Escapingthedailygrind What hubris that they claim that they own all the water but yeah they really just want that water to pass through their meter so they get their cut because obviously the world would come to an end without taxes!
It's the same reason we don't have Tesla's tower technology to transmit and receive electrical power wirelessly which can't be metered to individual houses and the energy is right in the air so there's no one to pay to generate it. That was Tesla's intent that you could power your homestead with a one time cost to pull electricity directly out of the air like you can tap into a well to get water. Now we have all these ugly wires running all over the place so we can all have a hamster-wheel meter to pay their rigged rates on every kWh thanks to JP Morgan.
