I love your video.!! You took a simple Hobonichi book and made it into a personal journal of simplistic beauty.! Your spreads are an inspiration.! Calming voice and a Beautiful Journal.! I would Love to see more spreads.!!! I wish I could place stickers the way you do, I always think my stickers have to reflect what I wrote instead of making a page of something pleasing to the eye.!! 💖💖💖💖💖You have a new subscriber for sure.!!

Nice flip through! I like the way you used your journal. A good inexpensive tape runner is Scotch tape runner; the green one works great.

muji glue tape (or tape runner as yall call it) works pretty well. i've never used hobonichi though so i'm not entirely sure how it works on hobonichi paper. but so far, i've never had issues with my muji glue tape

I really enjoyed watching your flipthrough! I know you said you write about mundane things and I do too but isn't it kind of nice to just get all the thoughts of the day out even if it's not much? lol
also re: tape runners/glue runners-- I've been using hobonichi for the last year and the only tape runner I use that hasn't given me any issues at all are the Tombow mono dot runner. It last me forever and they sell refills in a three pack-- you can get them online but I got mine at a Michaels craft store with a coupon and it was a pretty solid deal! (:

So … this might not be a tape runner.. but I use double sided tape that’s not the puffy white kind .. it’s similar to a tape runner but I tear it by hand . I use 1-3 torn bits on anything I want to stick.. and it’s extremely cheap than a tape runner in the long run.. the ephemera don’t move around btw , if that’s an issue for not using anything other than tape runners. I got a huge roll from Amazon for 2-3 dollars and have been using it for about 3 years now 😂

Love this video, it inspired me to start a journal for the first time. Do you have recommendation for pens that are not fancy fountain pens but something more beginner friendly? Right now i’m using my drawing fine liners but i don’t love it for writing.

thank you! i’m so glad to hear that! 😊 i would say gel pens are nice to write with, they’re similar to ballpoints but smoother in my opinion. my favourites are the zebra sarasa clip and the uniball one pens

Really nice spreads. In viewing videos, I actually like to LEARN more about the functionality of the journals - for example, your page with the illustrations of the journals you used this year, it would have been nice to see the illustrations & learn more about which journals you selected.
For me, a deeper dive is far more interesting than repeatedly saying “this is washi tape from XYZ “ which tons of You Tubers say…. Your pages are lovely and your style is unique- I hope you’ll share more details & let the content of your pages shine a bit more in future videos!
