- This is a step by step video on how to install the illuminated star LED using OEM instructions as a guide. the installation was done using Fuse Adaptor to illuminated star ''mercedes logo emblem'' for a Mercedes CLA250 or CLA 200 and CLA 45AMG in an easy and fast way, as i told you the only thing you need is a fuse adapter to give it power, so I decided on this installation since I do not want to break or cut the headlight wires because if you don't know how to do it you can ruin the job and that is not covered by the warranty, which can cost you a lot of money to fix a simple cable, that's why in this video I show you just by turning on the headlights and boom the logo will be on as simple as that. So you can use any 5 amp alot? What if its already used for something else? I don’t have a spare empty slot. If i connect to any existing 5 amp so then I’m basically doubling the load so better to connect to 10 amp maybe?
If you want to connect the illuminated star with the headlights you will need a fuse adapter So that they work whenever you turn on the car or turn on the headlights. That's why I used a fuse adapter in the connection of the illuminated star ⭐️, because the star I have installed is connected to the 229 fuse of the headlights using a 5 amp fuse, the adapter will separate the two connections and both connections carry a fuse for the headlights “5 amps” and another for the illuminated star “5 amps” in total of 10 amps, But if you want to install one of 10 amps, it should work fine!

Hi my friend, thank you for your support! Well, you can use the same set up that I have because if you want your low beam on with the illuminated star “logo” you can do it manual on
the headlight switch ! I have it on automatically the headlight switch so during the day the LED light will be on with the logo, regardless of whether you turn on the low beam or the daylight, the logo will also turn on. The other thing you can do is connect the logo directly to the low headlight wire, but it will be a little more difficult than the way I have it connected to the headlight switch !
You will need a fuse adapter to do this installation and another fuse that’ll work for the illuminated star.

Any time bro, You can use either of the two 229 or 231 those fuses are for the headlights, the one on the left or right side both do the same job and Why is it empty? Is it supposed to have a 5amp fuse?

De nada amigo, pues primero tienes que saber cual estrella es compatible para tu Mercedes porque hay dos tipos de estrella con Asistencia al conductor DISTRONIC ó DISTRONIC PLUS. La diferencia es que una tiene un sensor detrás de la estrella la cual siempre se apaga automáticamente cuando el auto está en marcha ó “Drive” para que el sensor del sistema funcione, ahora la que yo tengo en el Mercedes no tiene el sensor por lo que se mantiene encendida todo el tiempo aún que el motor esté en marcha. Creo que desde 2014 a 2017 la estrella 🌟 no tiene el sensor pero debes confirmar bien esa parte, ahora si no tiene el sensor en la estrella 🌟 puedes usar el fusible 23 o 24 ambos son de las puertas del conductor y pasajero so cuando le des unlock o lock va encender la estrella pero cuando el carro esté en marcha debe estar apagada.

Si lo quieres solo para la cortas es exactamente igual como yo lo tengo, si enciende la luz corta encenderá la estrella igual si enciendes la luz largas, so siempre que actives el switch de los headlight se encenderá el logo estrella de Mercedes los fusibles son 229 para el lado izquierdo y 231 para el lado derecho ambos te darán corriente una vez enciendes los faros !
Hola una pregunta, que pasa si se conecta al cable de una de las headlights?
Saludos, pues son varios los riesgos debido a que una vez cortes o peles el cable la garantía no te cubre, si en la instalación hay un error quizás tengas que reemplazar el cable por completo, si el cable no está bien sellado en la conexión la humedad o el agua puede que entre y te dañe más parte debido a un corte eléctrico, pero si lo vas a instalar de esa forma solo tienes dos cables para darte la corriente a el logo estrella, cable de luz corta “DRL” ó luz larga todo depende de tu preferencia cuando quieras que encienda el logo, pero yo te recomiendo utilizar un adaptador de fusible para que esté más seguro la instalación aunque lo instales directamente a los cables de los headlights debido a que tienes que proteger el balastro “ballast” y el módulo de los headlights ó puedes seguir los pasos del vídeo es mucho más fácil de esta forma!

Buenas amigo claro estoy por hacer el vídeo de la instalación a mi mercedes también pero mi Mercedes ya tiene la luz solo es cambiar la bombilla ahora para instalar el cableado vas a necesitar un adaptador de fusibles y los vas a conectar en el fusible de la puerta asegúrate que tenga corriente con un voltímetro así cada vez que abras la puerta la luz ó el logo va encender es muy fácil de instalar pero gracias por la sugerencia de hacer el vídeo estará pronto en el canal 👍🏻

Saludos amigo disculpa la demora! La instalación se puede hacer directamente en los cables de DRL LED's (headlights) porque si lo conectas al mando de abrirlo y cerrarlo se apaga la estrella led cuando enciendas el motor En mi caso se enciende la estrella led al poner la llave en posición ON o cuando se enciende las luces cortas “daylight” ! Déjame saber si aún tienes duda

Thanks to you bro, 229 fuse is for your passenger side headlight you can add one if it empty because You're supposed to have a 5-amp fuse or you can use the 209 fuse is for the “LED headlamp” passenger side but this one is 15-amp keep that in mind !
So, may I use 209 slot despite have 15 A fuse? So, in the cable, will be one slot with existing fuse (15 A) and one with 5 A fuse.
Yea because the illuminated star does not need 15A only 5A, but in your case you don’t have nothing in the 229, that's why I suggest you to do it in the 209, the 209 has one fuse of 15A so in the adapter you are going to use one of 5A for the illuminated star both fuses 229 or 209 are related to the headlight unit, so every time you turn on the headlights.

Yea it can be installing like that but first you have to know which star is compatible for your cla250 because there are two types of star one with driver assistance DISTRONIC second DISTRONIC PLUS. one that has the sensor behind the star that's it turns off when you turn on the engine because the front camera or sensor of the system needs to work, the other one doesn't have the radar or camera in front this one it turns on when the engine is on all the time! Try 23,24 fuses they’re for door control unit!
But i have the model c 220 w205 2017, i dont know if the fuse have the same name

of course i can help you my friend, I googled your w212 and according to the fuse box diagram to your car, you can use fuses number 29 and 30 both are for the headlights, so they will give you the power to turn on the ''logo star'' every time the headlights turn on the ''logo star'' will turn on, no matter if it's (DRL) or high beam headlights . I glad to hear that my friend, and yeah it’ll turn on only when the engine is on but if you put your headlights on “auto mode” the low beams will be on all day with the logo that’s how I have it !

So mine I don’t have a camera, just the sensor for driver assistance. Like a car being too close. It’s not the 4matic just the basic version . Otherwise how would I find out ?
Okay I’m not sure if your sensor are connected with the star emblem, so you have to look behind the emblem to see if it has the sensor connected to the emblem if it connected make sure you buy it with the driver assistance also keep it in mind the star will illuminated only when the engine is on ON position not running !Now if don’t have any wire you’re good to go with the illuminated star 🌟 that’s the one I have .

Hola amigo, tengo una GLA250 2018, no tengo ningun fuse en el slot 229 pero si en 209, la estrella enciende, pero no se apaga no importa si la camioneta esta apagada , algun consejo??

Si al laquear las puertas aún siguen encendida las luces creo que ese fusible te está dando corriente continua, intenta de colocar el fusible en el 229 si no tiene uno de respuesta intenta en el 232 esos dos fusibles controlan los headlights! Pregunta el switch de los headlights los tienes automáticos ó lo enciendes manualmente ?
Si la luz de mi logo ya no prende, sera que ya se fudio?? Y para remplazarlo es necesario cambiar todo el logo??? O venden la pura luz?? 🤔🤔🤔
Saludos amigo, si la luz no enciende puede que esté fundida ó puedes revisar el fusible y la conexión positivo, negativo que no estén sueltos, wow buena pregunta amigo pero yo realmente no e visto ningún vídeo o información de cómo reemplazar la luz en el logo por lo que creo que tienes que cambiar completamente el logo en caso que se funda la luz ! Es para un Mercedes cla 250 ?
