I loved the Buffed Up Nerds series. I started working out again at the beginning of this year and it helped me to think back about that series. End of February and I'm proud of myself for keeping up with my weekly regiment. I can already tell a little bit of a difference in my strength.
From my perspective, having watched them since before the 100th Bored episode it's absolutely crazy how big they've become and that there may be fans that don't know Buffed Up Nerds, Rekt or some of their other stuff like the early wildcard vids like Guess Who or Beached. What I mean is that their "forgotten" work is still some of my favourite and I recommend it to everyone :D

It's been truly incredible to watch your growth during this time and what's really great is that you're still clearly just the same guys, success hasn't changed you. That's so refreshing. Here's to the future of VLDL!
I started watching this channel two weeks ago and I am in awe of the high production and how incredibly witty the writing is! Thank you for such an admirable efforts

Pulling muscles getting out of bed is actually HIGHLY likely because you haven't been moving and your muscles have little to no blood flow so essentially you are in a high state of muscle fatigue because muscles get blood flow by the act of pumping your muscles. So you should tense/ relax your muscles every time before you get out of bed
I think Buffed Up Nerds was a great project. It's unfortunate that you lot were injured but I also think there were a lot of good things for you. I've been really impressed by each of you's progress. And every week there was something interesting. Jiu Jutsu with Ben was so funny, sorry! Have very much been enjoying the podcast, and discovering some older content. I do think there's a bit of a missed opportunity (both in this episode and the original Buffed Up Nerds) series to engage more unrealistic body standards for men. Given your unique position as men who have created a very public archive of their appearance for over a decade, often in various states of undress, to an audience that's not shy about commenting on every physical change from facial hair, to haircuts, to physique - I imagine you have some feelings about it.
I thought the buffed up nerds series was really touching and effective. It was brave to put yourselves in a potentially vulnerable place, where you’re open to so much trolling in the comments.
I think Rown may havew blocked wrestling Ben from his mind. For anyone who hasn't seen "Buffed Up Nerds", Jiu Jitsu with Ben and 'Yoga with Kittens' are especially worth a watch 🤣
Curious question. Is Adam from a different part of the country from Alan and Rowan? His accent is so different. Just what's going through my mind while watching this.
If ben is training for martial arts and has been for a while, how did hamish whoop ben in that one episode in techtown where they fought over who got that one item?
Working with trainers, Adam shouldn't have gotten injured. They should have taken into consideration that you'd never worked out like that and advised against going so hard. Alan and Rowans injury though wasn't on them haha. The discussion of feeling older is interesting. I'm older than Alan and way less active, I don't suffer from all that pain and I've worked some pretty rough jobs in the past. I do feel the same way about exercising now though, I need to get out ahead of it before I do lol. Adam coming out of the gate as boss man was hilarious.
Aren't there anymore the ones without the video or am I wrong? I had put them in "watch later" but can't find them. And the ones with video take more internet that the ones without when I'm out of my house >.
Combine Epic NPC and Buffed up nerds for…. Wait for it… Epic Buffed up nerds. (Training for life and getting older culminating in a sweet Baelin’s route-esque endurance event on foot) I might know a coach or two for that 😬
They are uploading all the podcasts to yt in video format, so yes you most likely have heard this before if you’ve listened to the podcasts elsewhere 😄
Watched this, and because I'm a fitness guy (maybe just fitness adjacent) I watched the buffed up nerds playlist... From what I saw, which could have been editing, your trainers were pushing you too hard given your fitness histories. I think a different set of trainers could have pushed you to similar results without the accompanying injuries. I hope you do a season 2 since day and work with trainers who focus on your longevity in fitness. Again, I don't want to disparage the trainers, it could have been the "reality tv" filter in editing, but the level of exhaustion you talked about, the number of days before feeling recovered, and the incremental onset of injuries sounds like you were being pushed beyond what you could support which is a bad way to train.
These "Would you rather" bits get me every time. Adam, you're too good at being absolutely clueless❤

Adam coming out of the gate as boss man was hilarious.
excellent arnold impression! More impressions plox
I love the podcast. Although it would be cool if Ben and Britt and others guest starred sometimes.
so happy for your success.
so the audio podcast is still being uploaded on normal channels but youtube is like a bunch behind now?
and you have full access to that, and so does everyone else
Just woke up to your voices. There's worse on a lazy Sunday morning 🌞
I remember buffed up nerds, it was nice
Huh turns out Adam was wrong. He performed 15 pull-ups in the finale.
buffed up nerds got me into working out myself weird its soo long ago
Aren't there anymore the ones without the video or am I wrong? I had put them in "watch later" but can't find them.
And the ones with video take more internet that the ones without when I'm out of my house >.
All the audio-only versions of the podcast can be found any place podcasts are available, such as Spotify.
@@jaclynkurtz9808 makes sense, thanks!
@@culfy Sure thing!
Combine Epic NPC and Buffed up nerds for…. Wait for it… Epic Buffed up nerds. (Training for life and getting older culminating in a sweet Baelin’s route-esque endurance event on foot) I might know a coach or two for that 😬
Listening to this while grinding on bdo.
I want to see that Ben / Rowan rematch!
In Denmark an employer wont accept traffic as a reason for being late. Thats just bad planning!
I love the would you rather bits.
i swear i head these before. even this one i'm 3 mins in and i swear you end up talking about injury's
you did
They are uploading all the podcasts to yt in video format, so yes you most likely have heard this before if you’ve listened to the podcasts elsewhere 😄
@@mondrup92 makes sense i couldnt see them on yt and thought i heard them hear. cheers
Are you guys following Hidden Cup V? I know you have all enjoyed Aoe2 through the ages.
By now I am convinced... 😂 ...very convinced Adam is just morbidly curious what it would be like to be mauled by ficken bear! (Non the less!)
Time to start a bulking series Sam Sulek style
Their trying to say, when the "old" moon is returned, your going to have to make a new yearly calendar as elliptical celestial orbitals will change.
Ben is going to bring his A game if there is a rematch
Rowan needs to rematch Ben both at the beginning of his health journey and at the end. That way we can watch him get mauled twice.
Adam's "Would You Rather?" is like my 13 yr old's.
Would you rather run six miles or chug arsenic?
Well, gee, lemme think.
Buffed up nerds season 2 is Barbarian rowan, fighter allen and monk adam lol
Lmao Adam's "would you rather" is so messed up... that's not how you do it 😂
Buffed up nerds was 5 years ago?,!!!
Deamn
That's a tough one, Adam. I do like bears...
Love that Ben does BJJ and you guys tried it. Fun fact :)
Anyone who wants abs, your answer is Pilates 👍💪🤝
Ben looks the most muscular out of the lot.
Of course, he is a Jiu Jitsu guy:)
season two is "Buffed Up Old Nerds"
