- Corporate learning campuses were once all the rage, creating the best managers and CEOs in-house for big organisations. Virtual learning and cost-cutting pushed them out of favour, but the chance to learn new professional skills is hugely popular with staff. Since the pandemic the in-person campus has made a comeback, so is learning and development the secret sauce for corporate survival?

The best CEOs are visionaries. The worst CEOs are bonus hunters like Calhoun from Boeing.
Visionaries are just false prophets.
Musk is a bonus hunter.
@@justlikeredwinealso a visionary
I hope that Elon Max will support the green economy and support environmentally friendly renewable energy projects and convert all diesel and petrol cars to electric cars to reduce pollution and reduce the cost of petrol and diesel.
@@Mxhjjj muskies I'm really interested in government handouts and lying about his success so he can artificially inflate the share price of Tesla
Love Isabel Berwick’s journalism!
Is this a video on virtual learning or CEO development?
It’s about leadership development, not just CEOs. The title is somewhat misleading.
@@Rick-C-117 I’ve read way better leadership books than this!

Like!! I thought the exact same thing. Feel like I wasted 9 minutes.
Yeah, if we are teaching future CEOs this way.... no wonder we are cooked!!!!!
I was expected a bit more insight on the type of leadership that a good CEo would have to display rather than the place to get a set of skills to be consider as CEO.
so this was an add for some of these so called leadership programs to market to companies and not actual reporting? ads masquerading as reporting...
without having something extraordinary these are just waste of time, and the most important is work experience. that is what i found out. But the best part is none is required to be successful, those people who made it already had it. i am suggesting the top layer as definition of success.
I've been in executive roles and worked with executives for over a decade and most leadership develop is terrible. It's management training with some basic emotional intelligence. Then you go back to the day to day and there is zero follow through or incentive to actually put anything into practice. In over a decade, working across many industries and I can count real leaders on one hand.
What advice would you give in order for leaders to follow through from said training. Also any use incentive use cases you can advise?
Exactly
cool
I heard a lot of failure companies name with poor leadership and non handson CEO. Like Boeing , Intel , HP etc. All are cases study in modern management.
lol, a clip by a bunch of Brits about corporate leadership! I’m curious - just how many world leading companies have come outta Britain in the last half century?
James Dyson

Make me CEO... I want to develop some unique way...
No
Simple. Silver spoons.
Sometimes I am boring online learning 😢😊😅 .
This still seems super outdated and backwards. Digital is the future
Hence E learning.

wowzer>>>THIS HAS MOTIVATED ME AS I AM AN EX SMEB and M,B,A INSTRUCTER OUT OF THE PRIVATE SECTOR..WHHOOOOOOOOSH OFF I GO. WHAT FUN ...ARE YOU INTERESTED?? CAREER DEV ...MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP LOOKING FOR A PARTNER. HO HOH HO LOL
.YES LAST SENTANCE CRUCIAL, BAN TEACHER TEACHUNG DROM A BOOK , NO EXPERIENCE. LOVE THIS...
Probably better without the unnecessary news music
So, only men can be leaders? Thats what I got from this video's initial montage 🤔
huh? CEOs are all money hungry crooks. Try going to a real school to learn real things like being an engineer, doctor, teacher. I could run these stupid companies myself.
Sure

No I am not gonna be a ceo
Nepobaby Psychos like Musk are a menace
If you knew the basics about Musk, you’d know he is definitively self-made and detests the idea that courses and trainings make someone a good leader.
@@bobthemagicmooseMy Daddy’s emerald mine and apartheid’s systemic advantages also made me a rugged, self-made, bootstrap puller, just like Musk!
@@bobthemagicmooseElon Musk is the embodiment of the Dunning Krueger Effect. If someone was as incompetent as him at their job, they would had been fired a long time ago. Imagine giving someone 56 billions, for leading a company that hasn't even made that much profit in an entire decade and blew away their lead in the market. Also, that cyber truck is a badly built monstrosity.
Musk problem is just stay by Trump and not do his gob
How? Really? The answer was already known to many. All you need is have backing by insanely rich connection or you're need to have very rich parents. 😂
