What a fantastic idea for your latest video Sophie and Oli. Covering the topic of natural stone to perfection 🤩 From the low down on the material, sourcing and maintenance and your expert guests, Becca James and Dave. A brilliant resource to watch. We have always been huge fans of natural stone for many years and agree whole heartily with James natural stone is truly a piece of art in your home. How cool is it to think your house has a floor, work surface or wall cladding which is potentially millions of year's old! ☺
Love these videos! I’ve been binge watching your videos. Really appreciate these more informative videos, would love see one with tips and tricks (like how to hide wiring when your lamps are in the middle of the room!)
I absolutely adore the stone we have in our home. Natural quartzite from Brazil in the kitchen and a feature wall of Italian marble in the principal bathroom. Definitely pieces of art and worth the money spent. I find beauty in them every day and don’t find the maintenance difficult at all (seal about 1x/year). No discolouration or issues & would highly recommend. And yes, inspiration from the stone can help design your room, so I agree about picking it first! Thanks Sophie 😊🇨🇦
Sophie, my house has marble in all rooms except the bathroom. The floors, stairs, Kitchen sink with it’s sides which is 2 meters long . In the beginning I laughed and called the house “ the marble house “ . 😂😂 Now not that much. Only wished they were different colours. But even that I am slowly loving them, because they have rare colours.
🇿🇦🇺🇸 Thank for taking the time from your busy schedule to make this video. It has been most helpful. You inspire me , to dream that I can have a beautiful home on my humble little budget 🌸 Thank you to your wonderful team and your family. 🙏I look forward to your next video. 🌸
This is such a good video that shows the timeless beauty of natural stones and dos and dont’s. The Blue Roma Quarzite is such a beauty- a real artwork as he said. I would love to see a backlid nightstand in pure White onyx. You should make some natural stone SP furniture. You would be great at it.
Thank you for such a useful video. I’m grateful that you freely give info on your suppliers, it’s very generous. I’m planning an upgrade to our sitting room and dining room in Celadon and the blue Roma quartzite would be perfect for the bar.
With stone or even wood floors having beautiful rugs and runners at the entrances and in areas people walk and stand/work make the house more comfortable and prevent wear/damage to your stone or wood. Larger rugs that fit the area properly with nonslip pads add so much livability. And knowing your floors are perfect underneath the rugs adds to the enjoyment and make the maintenance of the floors so much easier.
Great info...I have been using sealers every 2 years for my kitchen yellow- beige- burgundy granite, that still look 👌 after 13 years. Thank you for those videos
Such a pleasure to restore your marble Sophie and share some of our insights with you too!
