Please let the game developers know about the "Dinning Room"...ideally before they go into large scale manufacturing! Doesn't bother me as an end user but I'd be mortified if I missed that typo...
This game NEEDS to be replayed for Halloween, with a different killer. One who can make this game more.... suspenseful. One player with the power....of......... Patience.
I'd say this game is perfect for some... tomfoolery.

According to the rulebook, in the end some mistakes were made. It says that one survivor in the location is chosen as the defender of the attack (after declaring which survivors are in that location). If they win that encounter, everybody (including those who didn't defend) can optionally move 1 location. If they lose, the next person in that location has to defend. Even if they get hurt, they still get to optionally move 1 location. Basically, everybody has to defend one by one until someone wins or they all lose.
So after Laurie's first injury, he could've moved 1 location, which means he could've stayed there or been three locations away. And Blair's successful defense afterwards means Laurie didn't die and they both could've moved 1 location.
Ahh that makes it better really. Don't mind them messing up but it really put me off the game how once you hit someone there is this chance of 100% win (unless the decide decide otherwise) because with quickseacrh you can catch up most likeyl and in some situations there ill be no other way for you to go so... there won't even be a way for someone to defend you. Now with this rules explanation it seems a bit more balanced.

@@palmcrazysg 0-1 moves after the attack, yes. But Laurie had a turn after that where he could've moved 0-2 times, which means in total he could've been 0-3 locations away.
That's a pretty major change in outcome.
From the rules I see, there was also a mistake in the very last encounter. Blair successfully defended therefore the other survivors did not need to defend. That stops the killer in their tracks and doesn't attack any other survivors.

After playing some of this kind of boardgames (Betrayal, Nemesis, The Thing) I realised how I hate watching horror movies, but I love horror themed boardgames
I love horror where I can be detached from what's happening. Board game where it's theatre of the mind or deception or something? Fine. Video game let's play? Fine. Playing the video game myself? Bad. Watching a movie? Bad. For me it's mostly jump scares Vs actual horror

I'll fully admit, I was saddened to see the lack of Tom in this episode, but NRB does not disappoint.
Tom deciding to appear near the end to steal the show. 🤣 This game really would be the perfect vehicle for him.

That house has to be one of the greatest things I've seen a board game include. A card holder, character sheet, game screen and dice tower all rolled in one, absolutely beautiful.

This game is a hard one to follow as a viewer, but it is very fun! I feel like I wish there was like a voice over explaining what the team is doing, since they can't talk! 😅

3 of them yes, Sully wasn't actually an original but has become such an integral part of the channel now that it seems like he was there from the start.
What seems apparent was the movement of people’s hands behind the screen/dice tower, giving their position away to the murderer, especially in the opening moves. It was obvious which way the first 2 players went.

When playing 1 vs all games on camera, might be a good idea to have the “1” person where noise-cancelling headphone with music going so the “all” can talk more free and let the audience know their ideas.

One of the few times I've backed a kickstarter, but this looks super cool!
The production value on this game is really quite something, but it's a shame that it drives the cost up so much. I'd buy a less maximalist version of this without the minis and with a bog-standard foldable screen in an instant.
Someone should let Sullivan know that "Pattycake" is not one of Shakespeare's sonnets.
I really wanna see another round where Sully be the baddie, can you imagine his villain monologues?
Sully should have done the bottle into the main hall instead of the hallway, that way Adam may have thought that Laurie moved three spaces instead of two over there. Oh well.

I think that this has been one of my favourite of the games you guys have played, and its episodes like these that almost make me wish you re-played games occasionally. But also, betraying Tom like that! not cool Adam. not cool.
If big giant silliness is adam's thing then surely Return to Dark Tower or the very silly Cthulhu DMD expansions may be in his future...

This was kind of an anti-climatic ending that makes me wonder about the game viability (it seems like once someone is found and injured, the game is already over). I did like the cameo though!
The game shouldn't have been over yet. They missed the fact that after the attack the survivor gets a free move, which means Laurie could've gotten away further. And Blair successfully defending in Laurie's space means Laurie didn't have to fight at all and they both would've received a free move.
Game look really fun. But the price for a 30 - 45 minutes game is a bit high for my taste. Even just for the base set.

Did anyone not notice that the whole winning move shouldn't have happened? Once Blair defended from the attack the killer doesn't get to keep attacking.
So technically, Adam should not have attacked the Doctor, since the Killer cannot continue attacking everyone if a Survivor successfully defends against the Killer. Other than that, it was nice to see the playthrough.

Wouldn't Sully have made noise searching, since only Blair's character does not make noise with a search action?
Searching is only a "chance" of noise, based on whether or not the item you draw has a noise icon on it.

As much as I love the S.H.A.L. group (Sully Holly Addy Lorry) it’s good to switch it up but I really wanted to see Laurie as the killer

My only complaint was going to be the lack of NRB's resident sinister murderous recluse, but even that got rectified in the end.

This game actually looks quite fun! May have to support the kickstarter. Only quibble I have in terms of gameplay. At one point, Sully moves from the Garden into the Banquet Hall. Is this an illegal move, because it does not look like there is a door connecting the two?
His character can use the secret tunnels I think

Tom popping up at the end really got me lol, I thought it right near the start.... no Tom?
I feel like the game is a little boring for the killer because they mainly sit around and just wait, and then spend 2-3 min on their turn and thats it.
Turns are less than 2 minutes per side 😅 try tts. Everything is quick no real wait for the killer who have the time to think about the possibilities.
There is close to mo downtime gameplay wise.
The risk is more that the killer could be outsmart if he is the new player against experienced player... would definitely not put any first time player in this situation 😅 (might be wrong but that's my thought
I hate it when you play a game, come to the end, lose and then say "ohhh, so if we'd done that, we would have won? Oh, I didn't know you could do that". Especially when the game's host knows all the rules and you don't. Amounts of times I've lost because the rules weren't explained properly...
Now why didn't Laurie use the Ancient Amulet card to remove his one death mark?

Honestly, best part was the post game bonus scene.
Very interesting mechanics. In most hidden movement games I know, the "one" player is hidden and the "all" are working together to flush him out - this is the opposite.
mechanically this game falls really short. The slow killer AND being random draws is just brutal to watch, I cannot imagine playing it. Has to be a miserable experience. Could just be a random AI deck as it also seems to almost play itself.
