My god, Kelly proves she can sing every genre of music there is. Even though its not common knowledge to most,.. Kelly originally started out studying classical music and Opera. That is the reason as a coach on the Voice, she always gets the Opera singers on her team. As a rabid fan of Phantom ( have seen it 5 times on stage) this is a beautifully performed rendition of All I ask of you. HUGE fan of BOTH Josh and Kelly! Bravissimo!

I knew Josh Groban is extremely talented I wasn't surprised hearing him. However, even though Kelly is also extremely talented I was shocked to hear Kelly's voice have so much range. They did this perfect, gave me chills.

I have been there and done that! I was the one who endured the stroke and emerged having to rethink my life and what’s next. Including teaching myself to walk again. It was music like this that kept me sane! I lost my wife years ago… suddenly…. I would have given up much to have her in my hospital room! May she RIP.

@@matheus97922 I mean his highest note in this song is a Gb4 iirc so it's quite high but doable for a good baritone, which he absolutely is.
The Phantom on the other hand...hooo boy, that is definite tenor territory. A very strong baritone could potentially reach those notes but they'd lack the clear tenoral sound.

Uh, no. Sorry, but her raspy, faint voice compared to Groban really shows. Groban is to Kelly Clarkson what Kelly Clarkson is to me. Almost. I guess I'm not that good, but with a little practice, I think I could measure up to the comparison, because Clarkson doesn't have the talent or hasn't developed her voice into a finely honed classical instrument like Groban.
Btw, stopped in because Josh Groban's name appeared on a T-shirt in Mr. Robot.

Josh has an amazing unique voice and he enunciates which is SOOOO important. I learn something new every day and some days every hour. I had no idea that Kelly had the background she has and is so diverse. Music is a gift from God.

I was lucky enough to see the New York troop of phantom in Connecticut way back in 2001. That performance was superb and Josh's performances right on par with the best. Yes it was quite the experience.

A classically trained voice meets a pop voice -- it somehow works beautifully.
Actually, Kelly Clarkson's popularity as a pop singer was because the record deal she won and signed from AGT only wrote pop songs for her. Kelly was classically trained too, and expressed in various interviews that she's always wanted to branch out into country and soul territory.

I adored Josh the moment I heard him sing on Ally McBeal. I even purchased the Charlotte Church CD with him singing, "The Prayer", just to hear him sing. I was at his first concert to Dallas, Texas, and the latest one. He is an incredibly talented guy, and very down to earth!!. Loved his story how he explained how it rains in Dallas! OMG, what a hoot!
