    I never thought I'd be a weaver but when I decided to make a powder horn strap I was absolutely lost. This is by far the most helpful bit of information I found and I managed to get my strap done first try and now I actually want to do more and try patterns. Thank you!!!

    I am buying an inkle loom in three days. I can't wait to get started. Can I suggest that putting your roll of thread into a container an placing it on the floor beneath your working surface, will stop it rolling about. It is also good if you are using multiple colours on your warp as they wont get tangled. When you use several balls/colours you need a container for each ball. Recycle plastic large soft drink bottles or plastic milk bottles, cut the narrow neck off and you have the perfect container.

    • @SoniaJones
      @SoniaJones  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your suggestions.
      I normally do have my threads on the floor as I work from a cone but back when I made this I had to work in a confined space so couldn't do my normal set up. Have fun working on your inkle loom :). If you would like to share your work please do pop over to my Facebook group.

      Hi I am sorry but I brought mine premade so I have no idea how to build one. Maybe try Googling it and see if you can find any instructions.

      There is a book you can get on making inkle looms. Quite easy to make

    I found that the tension should be at max (highest point) not as shown in the video

      It is a personal preference really. The yarn/thread you are using can affect it as well. My video is only for a guide to the basics as people make more items they will find what works for them and what does not. :).

    What is your favorite type of loom to work on?

      I don't really have a favourite to be honest. I just work on whichever one I feel like working on.

      Thanks :). If you watch enough of my videos you will see I pronounce a lot of words incorrectly. It not that I don’t know (though some I don’t) it’s my brain having a funny five minutes due to brain fog :).

    Is it pronounced Heedle or hedl?

      I always pronounce wrong so I believe it is headle but spelt heddle. Basically what I said in the video most times go with the opposite lol. To be honest though as long as they work pronouncing it correct isn’t necessary as so many things are pronounced differently around the world.
