*cries because I'm a cellist and this doesn't just apply to mlp...being any type of instrumentalist, especially cello (or bass or viola or other way less appreciated ones) is really hard and you feel unappreciated because most people don't like classical instruments :(*

I stopped watching mlp back in like 2016 and it was such a huge part of me and i will never forget all the cupcakes sfm vids ive seen and all the songs ive bopped my head to. Thank you my little pony you brought me my most disturbing reads and most fun interactions with other fans. Oh god i think im about to cry

ok, se q esto se perdera en un monton de comentarios y q probablemente nadie entienda. Esta cancion la escucho desde el 2014, antes seguido y ahora cada cierto tiempo porque me evoca recuerdos hermosos de esa epoca. Recuerdo al fandom brony como una comunidad activa, unida y casi multitudinaria, en mi pais lo fue e imagino en EE.UU habra sido mas por todo lo que subian, lo cual no he visto en otros fandoms desde ese entonces. Personalmente me gusta mucho esta cancion por la historia que cuenta, el irse de un sitio donde te sientes incluida y querida no es facil asi sea por cumplir tus aspiraciones, es mas o menos lo q estoy sintiendo ahora. Siento que Octavia realmente se vio empujada por si misma a ser alguien que no es, para perseguir un sueño que creia la haria la pony mas feliz, alejando a los que queria en el camino antes de desaparecer, ella reflexiona sobre eso pero sabe q no puede dejarlo todo y volver, porque Octavia no es la misma y la fama la aborda. Porque simplemente una vez q creces y cambias no puedes regresar todo y ser como antes, una vez que llegas a la adultez no puede uno mirar con nostalgia a como era hace unos años y regresar, tenemos otras prioridades :( y la gente que amaste tambien. Digo esto porque al fin entendi el significado de esa cancion, que me recuerda cuanto desearia volver a ese periodo brony de mi adolescencia, con las personas que apreciaba y menos preocupaciones...pero no se puede

As much as I like his music, I really am not a fan of his singing :/
So, what this song is saying, is that when Octavia was a foal, she lived in Ponyville, then when no one liked her, ran away from home to Canterlot, in hopes of being famous. Then, after she had been there for a while, she realized that she had forgotten the one friend she had, and when she did talk to her, she had to leave quickly to finish a new song, but regretted not talking to her for years.

TLT didn't like his singing on this. If you read his comment on SlyphStorm's reimagined cover, Tombstone calls his singing here "horrid". I think that's a bit harsh, but I'll admit I prefer SlyphStorm's version.

@@swims11torches It was in response to another comment. TH-cam changed the comment system around 2014, and the new system ditched any indication of these old comments being replies. Most, if not all, of Tombstone's brony music was made during the old comment system, so all the reactions and conversations from when he released music appears as nonsense now. Really is a shame
