早春のまだ寒さの残る季節に、カタクリの花は森の斜面にひっそりと咲く。目立たないが孤高を保つ凛とした個性的な花である。
カタクリは花が咲くまでに、7年もかかる。
1年目は芽を出すのみで地上部は枯れる。2年目～6年目は春に葉を1枚だけ出す。
7年目にようやく葉を2枚出して花を咲かせる。7年かけて、じっくりと球根に栄養をためて、花を咲かせる準備をするそうだ。赤紫の可憐な花が下向きに咲き、晴天時は日光を浴びると花びらを大きく反り返らせ、夕暮れになると閉じる運動を繰り返す。日差しがない曇りや雨の日には、花は開かないまま閉じている。
そうして7年の月日を経て姿を現したかと思ったら、ひと月と待たずに枯れ果ててしまいまい、次の春まで地中で眠って過ごす。その様子からカタクリの花は「春の妖精」と呼ばれ、愛されている。
【選曲♪】
「アイネ・クライネ・ナハトムジーク」はドイツ語で「ひとつの・小さな・夜の音楽」という意味。 「ナハトムジーク」は多くの場合、親しい相手から贈られる「音楽のプレゼント」であった。 夜、貴族や高貴な人々の館の前で贈り物として野外演奏される軽い曲。 しかし、モーツァルトが誰のために作ったのかわかっていない。
【Location♪】
In early spring, the dogtooth violets bloom quietly in the forest. They are inconspicuous but dignified and unique. It takes seven years for the dogtooth violets to bloom.
In the first year, they only sprout. From the second to sixth year, they put out only one leaf in spring.
In the seventh year, they finally bloom. The beautiful purple flowers bloom downward, and when exposed to sunlight, the flower opens and petals curl back. They bloome after many years, but within a month they go to sleep until the next spring. Thus, the dogtooth violets are called the "spring fairies" and are loved.
【About Music♪】
"Eine kleine Nachtmusik" means "One Little Night Music" in German. "Nachtmusik" was often a "musical gift" given by a loved one. It was a light piece of music played as a gift in front of noble people at night. However, it is not known who Mozart composed it for.
