'Energy' does matter. I've watched a lot of storage series and none felt wrong. This one though felt as if someone was dissecting my heart and after reading the comments it's amazing to see how we have all connected to the actual owner, feeling bad that he is losing his things, even the buyer of the locker. I am so happy that you've looked for him and did the right thing. May your gesture be returned 1000 fold in health and love!!

Feel sorry for the guy whos locker this was. get the feeling he was a fairly successful guy who fell on hard times and had to leave everything behind. i would end up wanting to return the stuff.

@@benmarshall6762 I know, but What’s inside would have tried, there would be a lot of personal information inside the unit to make tracking them down way easier.
If he didn’t buy it someone else would. Units are sold at auction all the time. They just usually aren’t filmed.
It’s almost like the guy put everything in there and planned on coming back but lost his source of communication. Why do I feel bad? 😩

i feel really sad for the owner, doesn't look like stuff you would want to throw away. and he might not have been able to bring all of that across the world to australia.
i don't know his situation but it would be cool if you got in contact and maybe he actually wanted to leave it behind or he is glad to get it back..... :D

They said that the company who deal with storage units tried to contact that guy, but he changed his number and email. So if he didn't want to be found, then thats on him.

People rent these storage units out to hold their stuff. When they stop paying the rent for the storage unit the company gets ahold o the person and warns them. The guy that owned these probably moved to another country that’s why he couldn’t get ahold of his stuff. The company then sold the storage unit to what’s inside and now it’s all of his property.
Should of payed his bill. His lost.

plot twist, none of the family knew of the compromised situation and are devastated to see family belongings and memories chuckled about, now earning clicks
I wonder what the guy's house looks like? His hobbies? His daily routine? Does he like going to games with his friends? Playing games after coming home from work? Biking on the weekends? Just imagining his walls are full of those posters and artworks. That horse statue on his kitchen counter. The cool glass globe on his living room. Skateboarding at the local park? Does he live in a modern type house or in those classic ones? Does he smoke those cigars with his buddies or work friends? Or maybe he just likes collecting them? It's really fascinating when you think about it.
It's good to see someone who thinks about more than just money.

Dude I was totally excited to go check out your other channel you were sending me to so I could see the result of this storage locker, but you don't make it easy to find and scrolling through over a year worth of videos I lost interest. It would be super awesome if you would come back to these videos and put that link directly in the description so that those of us who are trolling you don't have to scroll through one or two years worth of videos. I might have subscribed to that channel if I had been able to find it. But I gave up
The owner lives in my home city, I feel like he had no choice but to move back home when covid hit, he probably forgot about to locker as he would have been in a rush. I hope you try to get his things back to him.

I watch lots of these locker videos and I am shocked that so many felt bad for the rich mañ but almost never do people remark about the poor or homeless ones.who would benefit far more by getting even their clothes back.

it doesn't feel right watching you going through someone else's belonging after their life has been destroyed due to Covid.
I mean yeah it sucks but at the end of the day the storage company tried to get ahold of him and then sold it to Dan as the winning bidder. It's in the contract you sign, if you default on the payment they have a certain grace period and then it is the owners of the unit.

@@strhaivenswr Not necessarily, there are always uses for computers whether it be a laptop NAS or simply for downloading sketchy software, a computer of only 2 years of age is very useful. My personal computer works fine and is a lightly moded Dell XPS desktop from 6 years ago. If nothing else you could turn the laptop into a simple mobile web browsing machine. However, I suppose when you have a multi-million dollar home, (What's inside) ya it's pretty much junk. Especially for Mac users, LOL.

I was about to comment as to what vultures you all appear, but then I’ve just read that you are returning all this stuff to the poor dude.
Congrats on being decent people. We had a similar situation with a vehicle left in our suburb packed to the gunwales with sporting equipment that a French backpacker couple had had to abandon (not knowing anyone in Australia) and return home at the onset of COVID. We as a neighbourhood tracked down the owners and told them we would put the vehicle into storage until they could return, to which they were most grateful and we have kept in touch since.Having travelled the US on my own many times you always have it in the back of your mind, the realisation that you do not know a single soul on the whole continent, it can be quite daunting and I can only imagine when the initial reality of the pandemic hit people just needed to get home.
The situation with the storage locker, raises some questions, re-the integrity of the operators, if you could find the owner, it’s pretty poor that they couldn’t. I had already commenced inquiries here in Perth with the caterpillar agency to try and locate the owner.
It would make for a new style show , people buy units and try to return the contents to it's owner .
WOW! Those things in that storage unit are worth twice, thrice.. EVEN MORE worth than the actual price...
WOW! People go through tough times in life and others take every opportunity available to further the wounds.

@@sbalogh53 They found the owner, they have been looking for him ever since they bought his locker because they wanted him to have his things back. Which like Lord Vampire said, if they didn't buy it someone would have had bought the locker and then kept the whole thing instead of trying to find this businessman. Dan has said on a comment a few threads above this one that they have been personally looking for the Australian on facebook, twitter etc for weeks too. Their changing their phone number and email addresses made it a bit more difficult too because Dan had no idea of where to start until they started looking in these boxes. BTW, I am also an Australian so I didn't feel angry, just felt sad for the original owner because by the contents alone he was expecting to come back because his business is there as is his new life there and I felt they was being respectful when looking through these things (They had to do the pricing though because that is what they was planning to do, to compare the contents' cost to how much they paid for the unit itself and I think that was pretty educational because not many people understand how these things work.) They are sending the things back to him now that they have found him, although given the situation going on around the world it might be a good long time before the man's things arrive on Australian shores.
I am so glad that they tried to find the owner and succeeded in finding him. I no longer feel angry towards these guys and their humanity has been fully restored in my opinion. They do indeed have a good heart for returning the items to the owner. Thank you for letting me know they found the Australian guy. It makes me feel much better. I am deleting my original comment because it is no longer true. Changed my vote to a thumbs up.

I agree, this doesn't seem like a person who would just forget or not care about his things. I'm pretty sure Australia kept everyone in extreme lockdown & it's hard to leave without a valid reason so maybe that's what happened with him too ?
CC expired, or changed. Bank account closed. It's possible the owner passed away and no one knew about the locker. Lots of ways for it to fall off the radar.
