      Dennis The Prescott Me Me! I'm just getting an understanding for everything you talk about in the video. It's amazing what even the little things can do. Logically food alone makes sense. But it never looks good. Always looks lonely.

      Dennis The Prescott the food industry is my playground. I find really understanding food, where it comes from and what’s involved in getting every bite of food to you is what gives the edge. Simply because you really care. Great tips here. As I say, shoot with intention. Being deliberate in any photography is key.
      Looking forward to my next restaurant shoot on Thursday and I want to do something different, something I haven’t really done before. So I’m planning out what that could be. It’s a client shoot so they must have what they need but I like to add a little zing to my shoots, like a hit of citrus... it’s how I grow and expand my skills.
      Thanks for all the delicious sharing..
      Cheers
      JT

    This is some great advice! I’m looking to start a blog, insta, youtube around drinks, cocktails etc and this is exactly the energy I’m going for! The daylight idea is great and you’re bang on about the human element, it brings a photo to life and makes it that much more exciting!

      Dennis The Prescott I’m yet to get it started, literally had the idea yesterday! But I’ve already got a book full of mine and my wife’s own cocktail recipes and I’ve been vlogging for 6 months to learn to edit. Super pumped! Thanks for the creative inspiration, bro!

    My phone is getting worse in taking food pictures, what camera do you recommend for food photography & video for beginners that's budget friendly?

    • @DennisThePrescott
      @DennisThePrescott  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Depending on your budget, a dslr with interchangeable lens option is best to start with (like a Canon T3I or similar etc). Avoid the kit lens, and go for a 50mm 1.8 if possible

    Hi Dennis! Awesome tips! I shoot with Sony A7 + 50mm f1.8 (Insta @BigBellyBrewingNL) but since I can't shoot food during day and light is very harsh (Yongnuo YN-300 Air) how do you deal with noise in your pictures?
