I saw that DD episode where Jase bets Willy he can outrun his truck on foot in 20 feet. Seeing Jase do that was exactly what his Dad did as portrayed in the movie.

Took my Wife to see The Blind opening night in Springfield. Even though we have read y'alls books, saw everything you all have done and Even been to Duck Commander in Monroe, the movie moved me in ways that I could never explain. It's one thing to read or hear about the power of The Lord, but to see how it worked on one of my Heros was amazing. God is Good.

Phil, I went to see “The Blind” tonight with my wife. Great story and a lesson to all. You and your family have made the money and the fame from Duck calls, TV shows and other ventures and really had no reason to expose your past other than show people how Jesus can change your life… job well done Sir, bless you for your bravery and courage to help others with this film. I myself have never had those issues with drinking but my Dad did and was a good man when sober and like a devil when drinking. Never physically abusive, but boy could he belittle you and make you feel worthless. It took me years to realize it was the alcohol talking not him. He was a hard worker and good provider but unfortunately only gave up alcohol when he had cancer and passed away at 48 years old. I’m 64 now and lost my mom to dementia in May of this year. Again, thank you for spreading the word and keeping the faith.. 0:02
My wife and I saw The Blind this weekend. It was a great movie and so thankful you were willing to tell this story. Thank you for being willing to share this with the world.
It seems to me that Al you really were the son that had to deal with the chaos and terrible situations and you came out of it so level headed and understanding of all kinds of problems. You can see that Jase was terribly hurt and affected by what went on. Even today, you can hear the resentment in his voice about the lack of food, the fighting the embarrassment amongst his peers. He tries to deflect and change the subject if he catches himself being negative about those times, but it’s obvious that those years were a huge upheaval in his life.
That being said, look at you all now. Wonderful pillars of society, dads, extremely successful business men, you came through such darkness and now shine so bright. You are much loved and looked up to. Thank you for sharing with us.

I used to listen to these podcasts for stories about hunting and shenanigans in the woods. I found the Lord. I stay here for discussions about faith now.

I am in absolute awe of how easily I understand the way yall teach the word. I thank the Lord for you and your family. I watched The Blind and never watched one episode of DD. Then my husband and I started watching DD. I’ve listened to Sadie and now I listen to Unashamed. Keep doing what yall are doing.

First time ive heard anyone use the term "all stove up" in years! Used to hear older people say that.
Me too, I have not heard it in years. Something else that the older generation would say is, I have the blind staggers. I think it's something they would say while working in the field in the hot summers. They were probably severely dehydrated and didn't know back in those days what really was going on.
Uncle Si looks so well. He looks younger every year! 🤗

I saw The Blind, was an incredible movie! I cried and realized everyone could go through what they went through! I have a brother who still is in drugs, I tried to help him, it didn’t work. I still love him and will do what I can.

I have no doubt about Si's story, I was in Nam in 67 to 69, the few times I went in to Saigon, there was a place out side the base to park the trucks, the next day we found the truck had been stripped,
I was 20 click northwest of Sigon ( Phuloi 68-69 ) yep had to leave one of my men guarding truck when not in base camp, or bribe white mice ( Vietnamese cops) with Salam (Salem cigarettes) to guard it .
I paused this earlier just to watch Valdez is coming. This is the second time I herd Jase mention it. It was totally worth it. 😂💕

My husband of twenty five years just surprised me. Telling me to pack a suitcase we are going out for the night. I'm thinking what? Well I need to know what clothes to pack? He said we are going to see The Blind. I've been telling him I wanted to see this movie and he listened. I said where's my camo clothes from the dove field? Im walking in the theater in camo, watch this. 😂 Ain't God good! An hour or so drive from home but it's going to be worth the drive. ❤

I watched the Blind last night. It was the best all time movie ever!!! I and many others can greatly relate to this movie; except the road is narrow who turn to the Lord. I'm 50 years old in Jan. I have loved Jesus all my life, but I have never been baptized. I want to so bad....

Why don’t si and Jase get along w each other
I grew up with a mean drunkard father. He worked on the railroad. He would beat the Hell out of us at all hours of the night after coming home from work. My older brother would always beat the Hell out if me so I got it from both. I recomciled with my father years after leaving his house. My brother I have knocked out three times as an adult. My brother has been on meth for almost 40 yeats in California. I have prayed every year that he get clean. So far no luck. Phil reminds me a lot of my father. He mellowed in his older age and passed away in Lindsay Oklahoma in 2010. I found a bible in his night stand. I hope he got forgiveness. My brother is still breathing so hopefully he finds God soon. Im still looking for him myself, but have turned my life around and started a construction business in DC.

I love the Robertsons, they're a pure example of what every family should be like when it comes to having a relationship with God and then it's not just the first generation but the 2nd and 3rd and so on , one big family and I mean big that puts God first . They're so right with God that they don't need to know about the horrific Hollywood child sexual abuse and the adrenachrome and Hollywood thing , I know God wouldn't put them in a place of horrors if they could be turned .so it's good that they are kinda in a bubble when it comes to that. Atleast I think they don't know. God bless this family .I absolutely love them and think the movie industry needs to move more towards true and Godly industry Hollywood needs to be fired , no pun attended but is true for most

Jase does seem to get along well with his constant interrupting, and dominating any group discussions. I've seen this so much, but especially during the Unashamed podcasts, especially with Al present. This is a very specific self-centeredness and self-importance that should never be such an inherent trait of anyone in good faith of God when in the presence of others.
I think Jase is fine the way he is!
