Great review! Really nice piece of kit, I've heard alot of good things about Crosman semi-autos. The bolt internals pushing back after each shot must feel satisfying too! Been tempted for the AK1 myself. Have to say though i'm really not sure how alot of these manufacturers determine their power ratings, I've seen the J / FT LB being always a bit different in the docs; when compared to someone sticking it through a chrono and then converting it themselves in reviews. I've seen some reviews say 3J, some sites take it from the spec and will then say 10J. It makes understanding the true power a bit frustrating at times
Yeah that’s a fair point. I should get a chrono shouldn’t I. I can do my own power testing then. It’s a brilliant rifle, I was really impressed with it. It does have a really nice blowback action to it, it feels great to point and shoot with. I’m glad you mentioned a chrono, I’ve been meaning to pick one up for a while now. Thank you man. I appreciate you watching.
@@Vegthetics yeah man that’s right. I’m going to get my own crono so I can check these claims. But the R1 does pack a nice punch. It definitely feels over 3 joules but I’m not entirely sure. I will get a crono and I’ll do a video on power rating claims. Might be interesting. Thank you brother
Do you buy that accessory kit complete somewhere or separately and how much does those useful upgrades cost 😮shame not full auto like abroad you got to work hard with trigger to fire fast with semi automatic.

Hey boss man, im in the market for a plinker. Im looking at the sig mpx gen2 or the Crossman R1. Whats your opinion or anyone else on the shooting accuracy on both platforms. Thank you from the GTA...
Hey man. So the R1 is great, I love it. Nice to shoot. It’s decent up to like 200 yards or so I’d say. But people who have R1 and the Sig say that the Sig is much better. Having not shot the Sig yet, I couldn’t say for sure but everyone who has both claims the Sig is better. Hope this helps my guy. Thank you
@@CaliberAirgunReviews thank you for the response. Are you planning on doing a sig review, that would be great. I've been leaning towards the Sig as i prefer pellets over BB's. But the field stripping on the R1 is very satisfying and appealing. I've seen horror stories on TH-cam in regards to the reliability of SIG's platform but not much on their gen 2. I'm hoping they fixed everything that was wrong.

Hey man. I actually think the R1 is Crosmans own design. Like a generic assault rifle. It has the M4 style stocks and grip. But the rifle is strippable so you could make it look how you need. But if you’re going for a specific gun you might be better looking to see if they do a replica. Like if you want and M4, plenty decent replicas out there. @@CaliberAirgunReviews dude, thanks so much man! I didnt expect a reply after all this time but ig your very attentive to your community! As for the gun itself, does it support m4 compatible attachments? If i could make it look similar to an M4A1 it should be good enough
