Gaijin buffed the reload Speed but what this tanks Need Is a fix to the armor values. Merkavas are not made out of paper and rubber

Speaking of the Merkava's, there's a vehicle based on the Merkava hull that I'd love to see in the game. It's called the Sholef, and was built between 1984-86 on the chassis of the Merkava Mk. 1, weighs 45 tons, and is armed with a 155mm howitzer.
It's also a fast reloading SPG as well. And I'd love to see it too.
theres also a merkava or a magach that has spike missiles, and a spike missile merkava that looked like a merkava mbt but was just a missile launcher

Merkava has much more armour vs KE irl based on SLERA community research.
Not to mention the fact that she withstood a 1200mm ATGM hit to the forehead.

@@user-jc2in3cp3g i play ariete and merkavas 4xx and ariete is also weak but haoppens to the merkava 90% of the times is when you get hit in the turret, no matter where, your gun is broken, u loose 1 or 2 crewmembers. if you cant imediatly pop smoke fast enough and revers out of the line the 2nd shot that hits you finishes you. i am complaining like the release about this. This tank is a huge coffin that looks fancy and has good perks but on the battlefield u have to be in a defensive role. thats a shame when you look at this tank and think what a monster of an armored turret.
I love big maps with few players. I really don't like when a map like Cologne is just packed to the brim, it's just chaos and tanks become gocards with guns. I wish they brought back the maps, but I guess community prefers to hold W and shoot at each other at 100m.
A full merkava suite in one video is just spoiling us at this point, my goodness

The mk4s at 11.3 are fairly good, because you can get those down tiers to 10.3, you have a good cas plane and helo as well. The only thing Israel needs now is it's light tanks and atgm tank.

The merkava, particularly the mark 3 and 4 should have access to a laser guided barrel launched missile (LAHAT), and 60mm HE mortar shells, but still has neither.

With this new update I feel like the sounds are to quite or don't work at certain distances like close range. Its almost like you have to look in the direction of the enemy to even hear them and when the soun ds do work they all play at the same volume at the same time like one big audio orgey.

Merkavas are so much fun now. Iam actually enjoying the israeli tree now. It also seems iam bouncing more round than before, i usually died 1shot , now it takes a while to kill me in a merkava.
reload speed is the same it was when they got released, but it uses the same gun, more space, yet reloads slower than a ambrams

Big maps just need a big game mode.
They should add the Merkava hull IFVs. Others get their modern IFVs.
Imagine if the Merkava's reload was buffed during the time the LIC was introduced with armor that made the Strv 122 B PLSS look like a joke, just imagine!
That's the thing bother me the most.
Merkava in the dev server were actually tanky, and with not an insane armor aside the turret...it was still penetrable by some top tier rounds, but the turret was enough good for some hull down tactics.
Then the tragedy hits as the TT went live, then they redo the same shit with the LIC (good turret armor, near to zero on the hull, fair trade) and nerfed it again.
I mean come on, i get, it's all composite and whatever but truly they think the Mk4s are protected with something with less KE value than rubber? After what countries are the neighbourhoods of Israel, with their MBTs (and how tanks played a VITAL role since the Independence War for Israel)?
Dunno man, even the dev server's value would already help such massive tank to hold his own on the field...

The 9.7 premium has had something done, armor value in turret has gotten worse? Every time you get shot in the turret you lose 2 crew. That wasn't a thing before, its like 95% of the time.
only same reload when aced, and still you get frakked when you lose crew members.

Mk.4 series, at least LIC should get armor buff on turret, these tanks cant hulldown with peace anymore. Image u have to cautious your gunner and commander will incapacitated than your gun

Nah, they buffed the reload speed. I don’t remember if it’s 5 sec now ACE (was previously 6.7) or if it was buffed to NATO standard 120, which is 6 sec. Either way, good change.

Merkava is not in a bad position even though they got nerfed. I have played since the Merkava in the game with no nerf and have played it every day to today. It never gets in the bad selection for playing this tank. when Merkava got nerfed turret, it is still a good choice for playing for fun in sniper mode. when close range, it is hard but good at the same time. So, Merkava is still the best in-game even if it is got nerf and dev, staff, CM whatever who manages the forum is ignorant of the fact about reload time and armor issues by being blind to it.
Turret armor needs to be fixed and buffed. That’s all that’s left. Please gajin, please buff the turret armor

They buffed this, but still cover their ears as soon as Ariete gets mentioned. For years that thing been intentionally screwed over by the devs, they refuse to give it any composite armor despite the real thing having it and so many people shown non classified evidence including manufacturers statements and the devs will just say smuggly "Not enough evidence" then either delete posts or tell people to just "play other nations"

The best leopard in the game is Leopard 2, which is destroyed in the real world after a glance from a Russian soldier. The T90M is the worst 11.7 tank in the game, but in real life 2 drones and 2 Bradleys were unable to destroy it. 🫵🤡

Except not. You're confusing it with the Magach. Merkava is designed specifically to maximize survivability and armor protection against KE round after the disaster in the Yom Kippur war, where most of Israel tank's lost were due to APFSDS round.
Israel shouldnt have been its own tree, but i love the merkava's, i'd take my Mk3D over a Shitbrams any day. Also the fact that the only good 9.0-9.3 vehicles USA has are Israeli is depressing.
