Very nice concept idea. I've been using it (13 96 200) for over a month now and it works really nice. Only disadvantage is that these pliers are long and don't work in tight spaces. I wounded my hands twice while at work, due to these pliers. Also when you have to cut close to an edge or in a corner, you need another set of pliers, because the cuttingpart is in the back of the mouth. It's a very solid set of pliers and they work fast. If you're an electrician in new installations these are great and you probably don't need your old set regularly. If you're an electrician in old installations or cabinetbuilding, don't throw your old pliers away, because you'll do need them regularly. At this moment, these are the pliers I keep with me, but my other pliers are closeby.
If the drywallers had filled up my junction box like that, I promise that they'll wish they'd saved some of that mud to fill the mysteriously appearing holes in their walls. That piercing point on the pliers looks as if it would punch through drywall panels with ease.
I bought insulationed 0106-190 pliers and 7406200 nipper just now. I have other three Knipex too! I can't buy the sealing ones because need Japanese Industrial Standards.
0:53 Before recording this activity, you used a knife. It's impossible the insulation came off that easily. Despite your combining, I bought your tool because it is really helpful.
I actually have the very same model as in the video. And the insulation on cables for permanent installation in houses (at least the cables used here in Denmark), can actually be removed as shown in this video. But that is also the only type of cables this works on, because the insulation is kind of stiff and hard. On softer cables, you are right, it definetely won't work like this. Also, this is a multitool, which means it is not 100% optimal for any task, more like 85% or so. But for many tasks, it is really helpful. I hope you will enjoy this tool as much as I do!
Let us understand each other. I am also an electrician. The cable can be peeled around with anything, but not completely along. In the video you can see that he cuts the cable around but not along the cable, which is what I mean.

I wish I had a greater need than just being a homeowner........Ah, one only lives once. :)
How would this compare with linesman? Why are cable shears different from linesman?
Cable sheers allow to cut welding cable up to 95 sq. cm with only one hand.
Where do you get the tool holster in this video?
2:23 This is why I carry a knife on my work pants... Hammering the wall like that could create a crack.
How much is this tool? Greetings from Lima, Peru

No serious electrician would go out with 1 pair of pliers
@Smith Jackson
I know dozens who rock nothing but their Klein’s and a flat blade screwdriver...
There are plenty that just use these day to day

They did say an experienced electrician can do this lol. I’m an electrician and this can easily be done with anything with a decently sharp edge
