    I started to learn fly fishing this year, beginnings were a beautiful mess, but now its a different story.
    I know one thing - I love it!

    Another great video, FFD. One additional unsolicited tip re: false casting is that trout can see into the air above them. If you FC six times and they see line shooting all over the place over their heads... well, the gig is up and you're not going to catch (as many). ☮ from North Idaho.

      Great tip justal - good thing there are no fish to scare in Idaho (except for maybe whitefish...) False cast away!

    I planned on throwing in being,,,,,,, 6'4 (?) hmmm 230 lbs (?) might help but you nulled that one. Load the rod? Years later I guessed what that means. I'm thinking "Stored energy" when using the proper line weight like bending the plastic spoon in school on Food fight Day! 😊 Good job coach! Fish Ooown! ☮️♾️😎

    Would you do a video on casting sink lines and sink tips? I swear I'm losing my mind just learning how to cast those lines.

      Sure, I can do that. Water-loading (pick up lay down cast) can help immensely with that too

      You bet! Woolly buggers can work great in winter as well as small midge patterns.
