I started to learn fly fishing this year, beginnings were a beautiful mess, but now its a different story. I know one thing - I love it! Your videos helped me a lot. Fish on!
Another great video, FFD. One additional unsolicited tip re: false casting is that trout can see into the air above them. If you FC six times and they see line shooting all over the place over their heads... well, the gig is up and you're not going to catch (as many). ☮ from North Idaho.
I planned on throwing in being,,,,,,, 6'4 (?) hmmm 230 lbs (?) might help but you nulled that one. Load the rod? Years later I guessed what that means. I'm thinking "Stored energy" when using the proper line weight like bending the plastic spoon in school on Food fight Day! 😊 Good job coach! Fish Ooown! ☮️♾️😎
You're videos helped me with fly fishing big time thank you brother I do have a question what should I use for winter fly fishing I've been having a hard time probably because I'm not super patience lol

Great tip justal - good thing there are no fish to scare in Idaho (except for maybe whitefish...) False cast away!
@@FlyFishDan Never thought of trying to fish Idaho; might give it a try one day 😉

@FlyFishDan Holy Smokes! Nose bleed section!! 😁
Would you do a video on casting sink lines and sink tips? I swear I'm losing my mind just learning how to cast those lines.
Sure, I can do that. Water-loading (pick up lay down cast) can help immensely with that too

You bet! Woolly buggers can work great in winter as well as small midge patterns.
