When would have Flowey told him? Between Frisk dying and coming back? That makes no sense. He does know about Resets, he talks about them in his fight, he will also tell u to SAVE in an ending phone call, if u don't SAVE throughout the game, Loads is probably how he gets some of the deva-ju allowing him tell things; like how many times he has killed you. Sans does know about Flowey in some form in the current timeline, though, maybe not as much as previous ones, because Flowey does try to avoid Sans. Taking his own advice and warnings about Sans to Frisk, to heart himself, basically.
Okay, I have to disagree with you on the statement that this fangame is better than 99% of fangames. There are many fangame that don’t consist of only a sans fight. You see I think you meant “this fangame is better than 99% of sans fight fangames”, because there are a lot of good non sans fight fangames. Anyway, good video.
I'm pretty sure Sans does know about Flowey since both confronted each other in Flowey's g3noc1de route, and while it's true Sans doesn't exactly remember the timelines he could have the feeling to know him when Papyrus told him about the talking flower and rather warn you about him in Grillbys in a way Flowey couldn't tell.
thats the logic i was thinking of in this game, flowey references sans a few times in the game and mentions how they fought which makes me think that sans knows who flowey is. i think in grillbys its a mix of trying to warn you and also trying to see if he can get any extra info about him from you/see if you know him
Also at the moment where sans asks you about a "talking flower" he seems to stop time around him, and the same happens in true pacifist when flowey says that you are an Idiot.
@@kekskruemel05I’m pretty sure that’s just a storytelling device, unless you’re implying sans and flowey also dimmed the lights and expected us two respond in frozen time

Late, i know. Though, there's a mistake yoy made in the ending of the video. Sans knows about flowey, and he wasnt talking about him in grillby's. In grillby's he was talking about echo flowers. and flowey clearly has encountered sans, due to what he has said about him in neutral endings
Along with Sans knowing all about Flowey which isnt entirely confirmed, theres the fact the fight is unwinnable via fighting which somewhat goes against the theme of undertale since thats how the route mostly went. Ofher than that, a fairly good fangame.
Overall a pretty well written fangame! I do have a nitpick to make though...if Sans could do an undodgable death attack this whole time (even when he's tired), why wouldn't he do that in actual genocide? I mean, he wants you to ragequit, and it would be a simple solution to do outside of when you press the mercy button. It's just weird that he does it in every route here...
What if when sans was leaving, he'd still have the same animation of sliding off, but after leaving the screen, a small black dot with an umbrella would curve back in frame, then seperate from the umbrella as it went behind the path?
Instead of "you dirty brother killer, I'll avenge Papyrus" Sans does what Papyrus would have also done to the human if they killed Sans instead: giving them another chance. And I like that he uses Papyrus' attack as well at 5:07
I think what makes good fangames good is that they make a storyline about the game and what the human has been doing and how that causes a change instead of just outright killing the human for 0.000001 exp gained
love how sans doesn't give us a single turn to choose mercy and instead does a run-on attack, legit not giving us a chance and then the funniest part is he says "ready to reset yet? no?" without giving us a chance to even spare him 💀
One thing not mentioned in the video is that the attacks and even the intro changes with the music. It is easier to see on the developer's video, where the music is more in sync. I am just a sucker for this kind of stuff.
I actually have an au idea where sans is alphys and instead of mettaton being like “alphys isn’t here” it’s sans going “what you think I’ll fight you? Nah, you’d probably win eventually. I’d rather help others evacuate instead of wasting time dying to you. Cya. (Shortcut)”
3:50 ok, i get that gaster blaster are mostoy overused (like glitchtale sans, he basically only uses them) but in the original sans fight like half or even more of sans's attack include gaster blasters, so if there are rarely any, it doesn't make it better, it just is a bit less accurate
Well in the base game Sans actually knows about Flowey, when about to go to the Waterfall he ask you out and you go to Grillby's, after a moment he ask you if you don't happen to know a talking little flower, he says there's one in particular that is apparently Papyrus's confident, she compliments him and guides him and such, whatever you tell him he brushes it off saying that "but of course I'm talking about the echo flowers !", thing is for starters, echo flowers are pretty big, in fact they're taller than you AND Sans, lastly and most importantly, to illustrate this little incongru event there should be at least one echo flowers in waterfall which echoes Papyrus's voice however there are none... I think it was just Sans attempt to de-escalate the situation
Sans not judging in the JUDGEMENT HALL feels weird, because at the part where he messed up his line, it looks likes he is imitating a judge/serious person so ig it would make more sense to be in the judgement hall but at this point i dont evem care i dont think rain would be in the judgement hall , this game looks cool and im downloading it
I don't really like how he starts sweating only in the last attack, because he doesn't go from perfectly fine to "so tired he can't even fight" in a split second, it's more of a slow thing, that makes you more determined by seeing sans's sweat, and sans more desperate because he will not be able to fight anymore after a while, and he knows that
This fangame was honestly hard until I got everything under control and learned his patterns, did it 3 times in a row since my game crashed when I was going for the betrayal run, good fan game.
From this game I realised how badly you must have done for sans to become murder sans, sans is a pretty nice guy and a lazy one at that but even after everything he wants to believe you can change, and dusttale shows that sans no longer and cannot afford to care anymore which made me love this game even more
This is the only undertale Sans fangame that not only isn't about sans doing genocide, but also has him talk to you instead of just rambling and also instead of the goal being an unfair fight where he kills you and you have to do 57 tries just to get past 1 third of the fight, causing most to rage and reset that way, this time he just wants you to have a fair fight that kindly convinces you to reset
That's actually a better strategy than just doing an unfair fight, because not only does it have emotional substance rather than just pure hatred, but also the player wouldn't be angry at Sans after the reset. And Sans could forgive the player because unlike in the other universes where sans just kills everything in sight, and is letting his emotions get the best of him so he's just an angry ball of pure hatred, but unlike that, in this fangame, he actually keeps his cool and doesn't let himself become a being of pure hatred who wouldn't even care if the human would try a pacifist route, but instead he is fair and forgiving
I rly love this Sans, my inly nitpick is how direct sans is and aware, i feel sans would be less aware about the SPECIFIC CIRCUMSTANCES of the situation and he would be a little more broad and vague with his dialouge, aside form that tho it's amazing❤️
sans may know about flowey because of what he says at grillbys which i remember summing up to: "yo kid so my bro says he talked to this flowah, and then i says to hims sounds like one o them echo flowahs, but then he says no it talked back to him. i think someone is pulling a prank on my lil bro"
Dialogue suggestions 1-Flowey replacement "The things you did to this timeline are...questionable." "Eradicating the people..." "... that you may have considered as your best friends in the past..." "... well. I think we both understand how awful of a thing that is to do." "I dont want you to go down a path you cant come back from." 2-Missing "..." "Well... You didn't spare me." "But you didn't attack me either." "Did you hesitate or something?" "... But that being said." "You still picked to "Fight"." "So, sorry buddy." "If you didn't want to attack, you should have just spared." 3-Betrayal kill "I'm gonna go return this umbrella."
My only personal criticism with this game is that its only one turn, which to be fair, is a big problem with most fangames, and its not really unfair. So its still better in that regard than most fangames.
since level 18 is apparently impossible to get in normal gameplay, this fangame could be justified by reasoning it as an anti-softlocking measure toby implemented to keep players from accidentally breaking the game. you're not supposed to have level 18, which is why sans appears on the new home balcony to confront you and keep you from breaking the game. also, 6:35 made me imagine sans just straight up falling off the new home balcony with dream on playing like kratos lmao
Its actually good how the developers focused on the original personality of sans instead of making him too violent. also, the original song used in the game is tears in the rain epicified by epic
I think the "press 2 to fight" thing after you spare him is pretty cheap, honestly. (Like, you're trapped in a bone wall, you can't just phase through and hit him, come on). This game really shouldn't have an ending where he dies, that'd make it perfect to me. His goal is to make you quit, and he would have if that option wasn't there. We need a "Sans wins" game imo.
"Instead of giving you an unfair fight to make you suffer so you reset" Mate, are we watching the same footage? In what way is this fight easier than the base game? I mean, seriously, not only are the attacks longer and more complex, they also have way less room for error than normal. Sure, Sans' dialogue is more in-character, and the attacks _look_ cool, but to actually play? No thank you.
it is out of character for him to try and talk it out. he already tried that in snowdin genocide, and well it didn't work. idk why you sparing 1 final froggit would make him try to find goodness in you, when in canon if you do that he still calls you a dirty brother killer and hates you.
I really like fan-games like this, whille i love me a hard bullet hell most the time, a lot of the fan games we have are too gimmicky and not really fun. This one looks really enjoyable, a bit easy, but fun.
fun fact: LV 18 is actually impossible to achieve in the normal game. Someone tested the highest amount of EXP you could get (Mettaton NEO sets you to LV 19 instantly if you don't abort genocide) and only got to LV 17. Though they did mention that in the first version of Undertale, there wasn't a limit to the EXP gain from picking on a Loox, whereas in modern Undertale it's 3 per Loox.
I know a nother fangame who does sans right it's called Stretch dusttale I like that one because I could sans actually acting like that if he we're to kill everyone
How to make a decent sans fight fangame: 1: sans isnt super emotional. He isnt screaming with tears and putting his every last effort into the attacks- thats why his attacks do 1 damage, and not FIGHTing doesnt progress the battle- his attacks abuse the lack of i-frames for lower effort. 2: less gaster blasters. Yes, theyre unique aesthetically- but almost all of sans' original fight uses bones- most attacks are actually bone-only, if not bone-focused. Besides that, world's your sans-box.

0:45 i love the cross sans music

Bit alot of people act like thays all fan game stuff and sans is nothing but jokes
Despite it being more of s balance
I really love how the battle theme for this game was Epics remix of Tear In The Rain. I highly suggest you all check him out.
Sans knows about flowey. Sans doesn't know about resets, saves and loads. In genocide route flowey tells him how many times you died
7:59 "Huh u didnt beat that weirdo yet?" He isnt really surpised he knows him i guess
We can see how is the state of comunity when a fangame made mainly to gameplay, had more character development to sans than a bunch of others
Ye thats what I meant
Creator made this game in 15 days, what did you expect

In the original Undertale timeline he DOES know Flowey
3:14 i think sans is talkin to the player at this moment.
This is so cool, the attacks legit remind me of attacks on geno route
Bro was mary Poppins for a bit
Late, i know.
Though, there's a mistake yoy made in the ending of the video.
Sans knows about flowey, and he wasnt talking about him in grillby's.
In grillby's he was talking about echo flowers.
and flowey clearly has encountered sans, due to what he has said about him in neutral endings
When you only spare a froggit in the ruins:
0/10 he's using capitalization
Pretty sure he also uses grammar even without capitalization, that’s a bit of a mistake
@@caekyhe’s, too lazy to actually use Caps and I’m pretty sure he also uses caps when his eyes turn black in the actual game
Sans isn't aware of Flowey, but this is still decent, I guess.
"It's pretty easy"
*proceed to turn into a Dark Soul bossfight*
7:44 every last breath sans fangame other than the original has:
love how sans doesn't give us a single turn to choose mercy and instead does a run-on attack, legit not giving us a chance and then the funniest part is he says "ready to reset yet? no?" without giving us a chance to even spare him 💀
Imagine Grillby just looking Sans levitating to his bar just to grab a bottle of ketchup and never pay
Undertale fan game, but Sans actually ask about your fall:
This fangame even references one of flowey's official dialogue, true attention to detail.
My ghost tapping decided to subscribe to your channel, i thought it was funny so I'll leave it like that
6:37 'since when can he levitate'
Bro can levitate just like Papyrus
One thing not mentioned in the video is that the attacks and even the intro changes with the music. It is easier to see on the developer's video, where the music is more in sync.
I am just a sucker for this kind of stuff.
I actually have an au idea where sans is alphys and instead of mettaton being like “alphys isn’t here” it’s sans going “what you think I’ll fight you? Nah, you’d probably win eventually. I’d rather help others evacuate instead of wasting time dying to you. Cya. (Shortcut)”
3:50 ok, i get that gaster blaster are mostoy overused (like glitchtale sans, he basically only uses them) but in the original sans fight like half or even more of sans's attack include gaster blasters, so if there are rarely any, it doesn't make it better, it just is a bit less accurate
aytanner’s tears in the rain would work so well for this
Well in the base game Sans actually knows about Flowey, when about to go to the Waterfall he ask you out and you go to Grillby's, after a moment he ask you if you don't happen to know a talking little flower, he says there's one in particular that is apparently Papyrus's confident, she compliments him and guides him and such, whatever you tell him he brushes it off saying that "but of course I'm talking about the echo flowers !", thing is for starters, echo flowers are pretty big, in fact they're taller than you AND Sans, lastly and most importantly, to illustrate this little incongru event there should be at least one echo flowers in waterfall which echoes Papyrus's voice however there are none...
I think it was just Sans attempt to de-escalate the situation
Sans not judging in the JUDGEMENT HALL feels weird, because at the part where he messed up his line, it looks likes he is imitating a judge/serious person so ig it would make more sense to be in the judgement hall but at this point i dont evem care i dont think rain would be in the judgement hall , this game looks cool and im downloading it
I don't really like how he starts sweating only in the last attack, because he doesn't go from perfectly fine to "so tired he can't even fight" in a split second, it's more of a slow thing, that makes you more determined by seeing sans's sweat, and sans more desperate because he will not be able to fight anymore after a while, and he knows that
6:36 bro’s makin’ a papyrus skywalk
didnt know sans was chill like that
The only other game that gets Sans' personality right is TS!Underswap, but thats to be expected with how high quality they are.
If everyone wants to make a good fangame of sans like tears in rhe rain, this video already showed how to make a good fangame.
ok no joke I saw the thumbnail and the first thing that came to my mind was sans and frisk at the berlin wall
He actually asks about a talking flower in undertale that papyrus talks about. That could mean he actually knew about flowey just even once.
I rly love this Sans, my inly nitpick is how direct sans is and aware, i feel sans would be less aware about the SPECIFIC CIRCUMSTANCES of the situation and he would be a little more broad and vague with his dialouge, aside form that tho it's amazing❤️
15 days for a quality fan fight, how intresting
sans may know about flowey because of what he says at grillbys which i remember summing up to: "yo kid so my bro says he talked to this flowah, and then i says to hims sounds like one o them echo flowahs, but then he says no it talked back to him. i think someone is pulling a prank on my lil bro"
Dialogue suggestions
1-Flowey replacement
"The things you did to this timeline are...questionable."
"Eradicating the people..."
"... that you may have considered as your best friends in the past..."
"... well. I think we both understand how awful of a thing that is to do."
"I dont want you to go down a path you cant come back from."
2-Missing
"..."
"Well... You didn't spare me."
"But you didn't attack me either."
"Did you hesitate or something?"
"... But that being said."
"You still picked to "Fight"."
"So, sorry buddy."
"If you didn't want to attack, you should have just spared."
3-Betrayal kill
"I'm gonna go return this umbrella."
Ever noticed how he doesn’t even die proof he isn’t bleeding from the mouth and your level does not go up after the death sound
since when can he levitate? well, he follows cartoon logic. he has an umbrella, thus allowing him to levitate.
Sans' laziness is my favorite part of his personality.
the only thing off with this fangame is that it's TECHNICALLY impossible to get lvl 18
but hey, great fangame though
Sans doesnt know who flowey is
@Gusta-cw9jp
What?
I cant understand you
@Gusta-cw9jp
Ohhhh
Yea ik about that, thats what i was reffering to partially with my comment
i really like the fact that he kills you despite sparing him
My only personal criticism with this game is that its only one turn, which to be fair, is a big problem with most fangames, and its not really unfair.
Bro the tags🗿
Its actually good how the developers focused on the original personality of sans instead of making him too violent. also, the original song used in the game is tears in the rain epicified by epic
AT THE END HE IS MARRY POPPINS(talking about the spare ending)
I think the "press 2 to fight" thing after you spare him is pretty cheap, honestly. (Like, you're trapped in a bone wall, you can't just phase through and hit him, come on). This game really shouldn't have an ending where he dies, that'd make it perfect to me. His goal is to make you quit, and he would have if that option wasn't there. We need a "Sans wins" game imo.
Everyone: Sans
Me: Why did they use fried chicken frying sounds instead of rain sounds?
"Instead of giving you an unfair fight to make you suffer so you reset"
Mate, are we watching the same footage? In what way is this fight easier than the base game? I mean, seriously, not only are the attacks longer and more complex, they also have way less room for error than normal.
Sure, Sans' dialogue is more in-character, and the attacks _look_ cool, but to actually play? No thank you.
Some interpret his knowledge of Flowey from the discussion in Grillby’s but others think he doesn’t
It’s really unknown whether or not he truly knows
The song is Tears in the Rain by Epic, by the way.
i love fired, he is peak (best friend ever:D)
Entonces llovió
... Con lentitud poderosa🔥🔥
it is out of character for him to try and talk it out. he already tried that in snowdin genocide, and well it didn't work. idk why you sparing 1 final froggit would make him try to find goodness in you, when in canon if you do that he still calls you a dirty brother killer and hates you.
hes levitating because he has the umbrella. did you not know about the undertale mary poppins crossover update?
Wait a minute does that mean you're locked out of pacifist if you picked on a loox
I was looking for a comment that said this
another banger by the based guy themselves
Sans really say: nah uh im the main character now 💀
I know a nother fangame who does sans right it's called Stretch dusttale I like that one because I could sans actually acting like that if he we're to kill everyone
I mean to be fair that ones still in development.
How to make a decent sans fight fangame:
1: sans isnt super emotional.
