I lived off Hendricks Isle in 2000, one over from Isle Of Venice. I paid 450 for a studio w my back porch as the canal. Back then it was a mix of older dilapidated buildings w budget rentals. Lots of characters living in rundown houseboats using their spot for unloading Jamaican shipments 😂 one guy lived in a boat that was a fuselage from an airplane w pontoons. Oh the memories. Great location as a midway point between the beach and downtown

Of course that was in the early eighties!
I loved at the end when you asked the girl working at the restaurant "what are you guys known for?" and she laughed. Classic. Great trip brother. Can't wait to see part 2.
