For him to play Don Juan at his debut Carnegie performance is absolutely breath taking! I've played it before and I would not even dare play that in front of people cause of difficulty and how many things can go wrong. Bravo Bruce!

Getting a Carnegie Hall audience to stand up and clap for you is the pinnacle of piano performance and his outpouring of encores that delighted audiences is like 2 recitals for the price of 1. I wish a record of this recital and the encores were available, maybe on Medici?

I attended a recital in Carnegie Hall once. The place looks like a mix of Chicago orchestral hall and Boston Symphony Hall.

Now I have just realised Bruce Liu has a special action when he play piano. It is his hand he will move it higher like playing expressively. ❤ I'm learning English so i hope u guys can understand my words :((. But he raises his hand highly and feels the music❤❤❤❤.

Definitely, his interpretation of the 2 concertos of Chopin is the best for me, also the sonata B sharp minor 35.Unfortunately i missed his concert in Laroque d Antheron, i was sad but i saw him with his master Dang Thai Son in TCE in Paris last February and in2022 in Laroque.Magnifique artiste avec un style décontracté qui lui convient et valorise son interprétation vibrante de Chopin.I am really a big fan🎉🎉🎉🎉😮😮😮😮😮😮
Bruce never disappoints. As always, this performance brings a fresh feeling. What impressed me the most was the second half of the formal program, where three etudes were performed with such exquisite elegance (unfortunately, the audience might not be familiar with the pieces, as there was no applause after they were played). The performances of Chopin's Sonata and Liszt's Variations were the most brilliant interpretations I have ever heard, surpassing his performances in Europe in astonishment.
After 3 new etudes, Bruce just jumps into the Liszt without stopping deliberately I think. All of my attending his recital was like that. This was my 5th one. 😂

Lorsque tous les petits marteaux se sont mis à sautiller allègrement sur les accords de Kapustin, vos mains qui se serrent, vos mains solitaires posées aux extrêmes, vues sous cet angle, m'ont fait penser à la liberté d'une belle hirondelle !!!
