Hi Paul , 90% of the figures are metal, mostly Britains & Conte. The other 10% are painted plastic figures. Some of the explosions come with a metal figure , the other explosions I made myself from lead. You should check out my website.. Thanks for the commet.. Mark

NICE JOB VERY NICE,,,, I USE TO DO 54MM BUT THEY TOOK UP A LOT OF ROOM,,,, HAD THEM ON A 4X8 PLYWOOD SHEET ( RANDOM BATTLES) NOW GETTING BACK INTO IT AGAIN I THINK I AM GOING 25 MM AMERICAN CIVIL WAR AGAIN HOPE TO GET A FEW THOUSAND ON A COUPLE OF 4X8 BOARDS ( A LOT OF PAINTING WOW ) CIVIL WAR DIO""S ARE GREAT. Thank you for the re-creation. It evokes an emotional response. Have you considered having a 3-D printer customize your pieces or is that what you are currently doing? Regardless of either I would like to know how and where did you get your human/animal pieces , they seem to fit the different situations perfectly.
Hi David, I have been collecting for 25 years ,and I bought most of my lead figures 54mm from companies like King & Country, Britains & Conte. In the beginning I used to make lead molds but only 2 out of 10 came out good. I think a 3-D printer is a great idea because one figure from King & Country cost $50.oo. Checkout my website -marksdioramas . Have about 25 different dioramas and 8 videos on youtube. My next diorama is the battle of Stalingrad, working on building bombed out buildings & factories. the confederates are so great because they realistic and full of color not like others that are just grey the union garrison is amazing. the whole setup is nice too. I also like the medical posts on the south and north

i love the terrain and how it was all set up but you used only Britain toy soldiers but i saw safari Ltd figures
Hi Cecillia, building houses & terrain is the part I like the most in making dioramas. The metal figures are about 90% Britains & Conte ,the other10% are from various companies .I am presently working on the battle of Stalingrad. Thanks for your comment. Mark
Nice work painting and setting it all out, just a note it seems to have nothing to do with Shiloh? (Trenches, Calvary charging, Armistead from Gettysburg, ANV battleflags, etc.)

@@markproska-dioramas1117 Cannot wait to to see it, i wanted to buy Italeri farm house, but picture of content on back show nice big house and actual model is half the size? More like shed, plus i bought most of Italeri ACW miniatures.
Will try to make my own buildings out of matchsticks ;)
