You skipped on most of the side quests/gigs in Watson so far and focused on the main quest. I did the opposite, so Jackie's death happened a lot later in my playthrough and even though he does not really interact with you during those, he was still "there". Maybe that affects the impact of his death. Overall, I think they did a pretty good job with Jackie's character. Most of us "knew" he was going to die after the trailers, but still allowed ourselves to bond with him, because he was just that likeable. Really watching forward to your take on the game. It got a lot of hate, but the story, main and side quest(s), were top-notch from the beginning imo and judging by your taste in games and movies (especially since you were referencing Blade Runner multiple times so far), I am sure you will agree. And even the stuff the game got hate for is mostly no longer valid after Phantom Liberty/2.0. Truly a masterpiece, and sad that it wasn't one from the beginning... but also kind of fitting since corporate greed and capitalism are major themes of the cyberpunk universe.
Same, agreed on everything. I have a thought regarding the framing of Cyberpunk 2077 and it's handling as corporate greed. I get it, genuinely, but something feels off about it. From CDPR's perspective, the safe choice would've been to make Witcher 4 or another third person RPG since that was their ballpark. But instead they chose to work on an insanely ambitious new IP played in first person and spend a crazy amount of time and money on it. Game development isn't just a choice of whether to do it or not, it's hard. There's a reason many developers find their niche and stick with it *forever* like most Japanese developers. Ambition is for dreamers, not the greedy. Just a thought.

Yes, the game had bugs, glitshs, crashs, but people lied about so many things. I played in the "worst" version the fat one and the game made me very happy. My best 700 hours in a game. Before CP2077 my favourite rog FFVII, but Cyberpunk win that place. Maco need walk the streets to find the acidents, police dead by gangs, the side little storys you find in some places. The ones with a back story you know i dont whant say, Maco first letsplay. Example what happened with the guy that stoped Padre car, the little side storys hided around the city are incredible.

I LOVE that you read the codex and quest notes! I've put several hundred hours into the game, but haven't read most of them myself. I think it's a cool idea to read 3-5 codex entries per episode. At the beginning or the end.
Not sure if this was mentioned, but any clothes that you break down for parts is saved to your wardrobe. So you can make any outfit of the clothes you've found. You don't need to save them all in your stash. Also this allows the wardrobe option in stores to only show stuff you don't have "unlocked".
I'm so happy that you stumbled into that diner hold up encounter. I like how you were just annoyed at the inconvenience lol. Edit: The quest name "Heroes" is the song by David Bowie I believe.
"How do we get weapons on the wall in our stash" Those are Unique weapons only. Some weapons are found in the world, some weapons are bought from Vendors, some weapons are acquired through story ^^
I’m fairly certain it’s whatever type of gun it is and whatever iconic you add. It isn’t for a specific weapon just the type and iconic. Not necessarily unique weapons. I could be wrong but that’s what I’ve gathered from my playtime
The tanto knife u throw u don't have to always pick it up whenever u throw it there's a circle showing it's cooldown once it fills it'll reappear back on u
The metro system was originally a mod for the game, so your car getting trashed wasn't meant to force you to use the metro, it's just the start of a side quest story, but CDPR smartly incorporated getting the metro pass, hoping you'd try to get your car. It's mostly an immersion mod rather than functional, as you already have fast travel, but because the metro train could be seen moving around the city prior to the mod, folk wanted to add an option to actually use it. I might try using different routes to see if CDPR added any little submissions related to it, but i've not used it past the first time while playing, so far. Oh, it's worth collecting junk, some is actually valuable and can sell for a few hundred dollars, while the rest can be dismantled and used for components and weapon upgrades, it's also worth dismantling some of the weapons and unwanted clothing you collect. It earns you engineering points, which is useful for getting extra perk points, (so it's worth getting each of the categories of skills up to 35 so you can max your perk options. completing each skill tree isn't necessary, and you can dial in which specific one is worth completing to 50, to augment your attribute choices).
In the game as it was released (v.1), each car or bike you bought was physically located in a specific part of the city, so if you wanted to buy it, you had to get there and take it. Now they've streamlined it in the form of a web page where you can buy all the vehicles and they're immediately available to you. I think it makes it less interesting. Similarly, ripperdocs used to sell different parts, so if you wanted some specific part you had to locate the correct doc. Now all ripperdocs have the same catalog (with a few rare exceptions). It's clearly more convenient that way, but I think we lose a bit of immersion.
Hey word of warning about a side mission near Delemain - there's a guy not far around one of the corners from there, in an alley being shaken down by two cops. I found this mission, which was pretty hard for my initial level - but I determined myself to beat it. Based on my choices in the end I think I got nothing because I actually did need to be more leveled up to get the reward. So don't spend any time trying to save that guy if you see him, you should do it later.
About Shard sockets, ppl can have multiple slots, usually two slots but I think they can have more, so V always has one socket with Johnny and another one available for missions and miscellaneous shards.
The cat can actually be found by your apartment now. If you give it cat food (bought at food vendors) it'll become your pet and hang out in your apartment Also, you could've finished talking to Mama Welles before moving onto the optional people lol
See, you made the right choice with having the AI cab take Jackie to his familiy, otherwise you wouldn't be invited to his offrenda. Extra bonus - you get to own Jackies bike which is awesome. I never really drive any cars after getting it, it's very speedy and easy to control.
"They've honestly done a really great job here, but it's wild that it seems like I've spent more time with the funeral version of Jackie than with Jackie himself" Yeaaah... 😅😅
The public transport was added only in 2.1, very recent and also a portable radio I believe. The game is quiet different from its release version so it's almost like having played Cyberpunk 1.0 and 2.0 as different games though 2.0 is better in most regards. 1.0 had some fun interactions where you could ping people then snipe them silently through walls and crazy bugs. Exploring is so much fun esp. once you unlock the "mandatory" stuff for parkour and fast traversal, I hope there'll be more of that in the next game.
Keep in mind that only certain cyberware increases your armor level, so you might want to prioritize those in early game. Later you'll really want to get reinforced tendons, which give you the double-jump ability -- a major movement upgrade.
I think it's an easy beginner trap to sell your stuff, you are meant to disassemble everything you are not using and upgrading the iconic stuff from your inventory. Exceptions with regards to cyberware which has very few iconics. Iconics are marked by being kind of filled with gold, but by using components you can basically keep them relevant even into the endgame by just upgrading them with materials. You earn a LOT of money by doing the NCPD dispatches and it's kind of expected you'd do a fair bit of those by this point. They will allow you more cool toys by increasing your creds, level and street cred at the same time. It can be overwhelming to try to do them all though. I also recommend you'd rather have saved up for the jump upgrade you couldn't afford this time; it gives you the ability to double jump, which feels incredibly satisfying and you can escape a lot of sticky situations that way.
Btw just a head's up but the quickest way to make a lot of cash quickly in this is just to do NCPD Scanner Hustles and Gigs. The car options open up more as you go too!
1:03:29 - Funny enough, but at the end of my playthrough I realized that this is the best implant in the hands slot. It can be upgraded if you have an engineering skill to legendary and it has zero requirements. Also - yes, you can see the tattoo if you strip and look at the right hand.
The event for Jackie was super well done, but I agree, it's sad the devs didn't let the player spend actual time with Jackie and chose a premade clip montage instead. That took away a lot of potential. But still, your playthrough is super fun so far, even if it's errands and traffic chaos. Thank you for sharing !
I know you said you like to avoid the map but that shows you where all the side missions are which is the quickest way to make a lot of money in the game. Especially doing the fixer jobs.
The mayhem at the streets is hilarious :D it looks like you should restart the game or something, I finished the game few times and never saw anything like this! Possibly your PC may struggle contributing to physics inaccuracy. Great playthrough tho, thanks! :)

Not sure if you've already done it, but you should do the first talk with Takemura ASAP. It doesn't close anything off, it opens up your main quests, and it sets up some story stuff.

To me the game felt the smoothest during 2.0 and 2.1 definitely felt a little buggier and I think the new 2.11 patch is supposed to fix those problems. They did put a lot of content in the game in 2.1 like the metro and proper vehicle combat which might've been a little rushed for release because of TGA and they probably wanted to release it when people were still talking about the game.
@@heron619 2.0 was perfection. You can tell they spent A LOT of time making sure that specific patch was perfect. Jackie's memorial was very touching. Can't wait to see what happens to Mapo-V next!
The adventures of Mapo-V. I've seen plenty of let's-plays, but this one is captivating!
@@adrianbrodin1319 They were dreamers who bit off more than they could chew and couldn't finish the game in time and had a disaster of a release. But with the 2.0 update, it's finally in a worthy state and it's one of the greatest games of this generation.
From playing through it once myself. You already are finding things I missed. Such a wonderful game.
For reference, For Whom the Bell Tolls is about one big “job” to blow up a bridge during the Spanish Civil War.
Man every episode i watch i just get more exited thinking just how mindblown you're gonna be while this game just unfolds every secret on night city
Keanu is dreamy in all universes. :D
You can pick other items for the ofrenda, but I think the book is the most fitting. I always took that
The ofrenda was absolutely beautiful.
Mapo not sure if you'll read this but you can sell all your clothing if you want instead of putting it all in your stash. As long as you pick up the clothes once you will have it forever in your outfit page. Save multiple outfits and you can switch them anytime from your inventory menu
i can tell you how eagerly I have been awaiting these episodes haha. Music to my ears to see one this morning. Loving how much time youre spending appreciating the game as a whole.
Yesssss! I woke up and first thing checked to see if you uploaded and I'm so happy! Lol I love this game and seeing my favorite TH-camr play it makes it double as fun
I enjoyed the game when it came out... I was the few of those people who saw the game for what it is by exploring instead of rushing trough... take your time and explore the world... don't rush...
I played the game on first day in my xbox one fat old boy and most of the things people said about problems in the time not are true.
Same. I tried to do all the quests in Watson before the Heist.
@@elsuichiminami307Same. I played on XBox One and didn’t have any significant problems. Couple of TPoses and graphics issues but otherwise I could play.
I LOVE that you read the codex and quest notes! I've put several hundred hours into the game, but haven't read most of them myself.
I think it's a cool idea to read 3-5 codex entries per episode. At the beginning or the end.
I'm going through a hard time right now and I just want to keep it short and say this playthrough is helping distract me and I love it❤
Not sure if this was mentioned, but any clothes that you break down for parts is saved to your wardrobe.
Loving these playthroughs, you really get this game.
"How do we get weapons on the wall in our stash"
Those are Unique weapons only.
32:47 Graphics in Frogger really improved over the years
The tanto knife u throw u don't have to always pick it up whenever u throw it there's a circle showing it's cooldown once it fills it'll reappear back on u
Definitely one of the most immersive games ive ever plaed
Oh wow I never even thought about the relic taking up a slot so you can no longer take shards. But they did kinda fix that with that head set lol
So don't spend any time trying to save that guy if you see him, you should do it later.
so fun to see you on the metro lol
You should know that there's a mod called Kojimura which replaces Takemura's face with Kojima's. 10/10 mod.
Mapo click the left stick down while you’re riding a bike for a little surprise !
I just read you’re recording much more ahead, disregard haha
I've never dank so many shots or beers in a single game. For Jackie!
Only iconic (=unique) weapons come on the wall, You can also access your whole stash from the trunk of any of your owned vehicles.
About Shard sockets, ppl can have multiple slots, usually two slots but I think they can have more, so V always has one socket with Johnny and another one available for missions and miscellaneous shards.
The cat can actually be found by your apartment now. If you give it cat food (bought at food vendors) it'll become your pet and hang out in your apartment
Also, you could've finished talking to Mama Welles before moving onto the optional people lol
See, you made the right choice with having the AI cab take Jackie to his familiy, otherwise you wouldn't be invited to his offrenda. Extra bonus - you get to own Jackies bike which is awesome. I never really drive any cars after getting it, it's very speedy and easy to control.
No matter the game, Mapo operating a vehicle will certainly cause mayhem. 😄
"They've honestly done a really great job here, but it's wild that it seems like I've spent more time with the funeral version of Jackie than with Jackie himself"
Yeaaah... 😅😅
believe it or not i had a dream mapo uploaded an 8h long cyberpunk video, ps: BEEP BEEP MUTHEFUKA my fav legendary line in gaming history
The wall is for specific iconic weapons only. Like a trophy case.
Another video, another video where Mapo wishes he could play those 6 months with Jackie. XD
Misti's looks are based on Pris from Blade Runner ^_^
36:42 short answer - yes. valerie elaine pagles
none of the options allow us to correct delamain, implying its in fact her full name
Btw if you press left on the Dpad while on a motorcycle you can turn on the neon wheels.
You can also get the guns of Jackie Walls back at the Coyote Bar
Keep in mind that only certain cyberware increases your armor level, so you might want to prioritize those in early game. Later you'll really want to get reinforced tendons, which give you the double-jump ability -- a major movement upgrade.
You don't just have 1 port for shards, There's many
1:26:02 theres a bunch of choices lol u just gotta walk up to them
I think it's an easy beginner trap to sell your stuff, you are meant to disassemble everything you are not using and upgrading the iconic stuff from your inventory.
In my 2 playthroughs I missed the funeral twice!. Option locked out if you send the body to Vik's.
Hey mapo been loving the cyberpunk playthrough so far keep it up. Will u ever consider playing the red dead redemption games??
Most shard ports have 2 slots, so that relic wont stop you.
you can actually see it if you zoom in while in the character creator
Nah, actually V got a shard port on both sides of her head
I always cried at his ofrenda :(
1:03:29 - Funny enough, but at the end of my playthrough I realized that this is the best implant in the hands slot.
It can be upgraded if you have an engineering skill to legendary and it has zero requirements.
Also - yes, you can see the tattoo if you strip and look at the right hand.
let's all knock one back for our favorite choom! To Jackie!
Ahhhhh, now I have to start a new playthrough. Here goes my free time 😁
The event for Jackie was super well done, but I agree, it's sad the devs didn't let the player spend actual time with Jackie and chose a premade clip montage instead.
Haha, there's no guarantee it won't happen again.
Poor Starfield 😂
It will never beat out the Cyberpunk comparisons.
I stopped playing when the Crimson Fleet storyline glitched out one me & I couldn't continue.
Maybe in 3 years time it will be better.
The metro was added in the 2.1 update so that random ticket was probably because they didn't really have a way to give it to you lol
Not sure if you've already done it, but you should do the first talk with Takemura ASAP. It doesn't close anything off, it opens up your main quests, and it sets up some story stuff.
Man I just went from playing this game myself to this video and I'm playing at 1080p on hardware not even half as capable as yours and it still looks way better than in this video. It's a real shame what TH-cam compression does and I really wish they would improve it so people could see modern games like this at their best without having to spend thousands of dollars.
Interestingly enough, I never used the NCART to get around. Just travleded via the fast travel points. Or drove sometimes. Forgot NCART was a thing.
they just added it
No spoilers but it wouldn't hurt to go back to the Coyote Cojo bar after a couple days have passed
You got a wanted level because you accidentally killed a civilian , happens to me all the time 😅 I'd say that completing ncpd tasks is worth it, there is some lore!!
Mapo, just a note for the future - the three tabs indicating percentage "progress" (the one's in 10:00) - later on they can get a little buggy. I'd advise avoiding reading them (or at least the middle one) after you're midway into the game, as there is a risk of getting slight spoilers for the stuff you haven't touched yet.
wow they never had the metro when i played, but back then all the npc's looked like they were from Ps2 and tposed all the time too lol.
59:23 I always thought, as a headcanon, that there are more than 1 slot, you know, like USB ports
Vik probably installed a second one for V
@@cleverman383 yeah, which would be logical btw, and within character for Vik always doing the best possible job (cleaning virus without even the need of reminder, while installing Kiroshi)
you can kill "yellow" markers... police is attacking you because you threw grenade into civilinas
I don't know if you figured it out yet, because the game doesn't tell you, but you can turn off the radio on foot by pressing right on the d-pad, they added an option to automatically turn it off when you exit your vehicle in the latest update.
Metro literraly added last week
Assuming by montage cut on 59:51-59:52 you've stoped the record, turn off censorship and checked out what' Joytoy's offered. I don't judge, it's all because of us watching you here you're forced to play this game with censorship. XD
Nah I would show that lmao, I turn off censorship in episode 10
I have no idea what is the state of the game on pc but after many playthroughs on ps5 that were more or less flawless i got a feeling that cyberpunk will be another case of Mapo's secret ability to attract every possible bug in the game lol
Imo they should have just left it at that in its least buggy state. 2.1 was mess, and so was the patch after that. Performance took a hit. Vehicle bugs. Hopefully 2.11 and the future patches will get us back into the 2.0 state.
I had a flawless experience with Cyberpunk on 2.0, and the day that 2.1 came out, I suddenly started getting all kinds of glitches and game crashes. On Xbox Series X, btw.
Please god scan stuff, you're missing a ton
love this series
Holy shit, Delamain was jamming
Fun Fact: Arch is an IRL motorcycle company co-founded by Keanu Reeves
Great playtrough. It's a bit sad you can't enjoy the full pathtracing beauty that game has to offer. There's a mod that offers frame generation for RTX cards below the 4090. Nearly doubled the fps on my 2070 and made at least Psycho settings look smooth.
I was confused by the NIN sounding track as well. Glad I'm not the only one :D
BEEP BEEP MOTHER F... hahahhaha DEl gone wild.
I love these videos
You should try house and key board, the movement felt a lot better and combat felt more intuitive
I started the playthrough with M&K I’m not sure if you missed that lol
I’m enjoying controller more
@@Mapocolops Ah, probably forgot due to the psychosis from all the chrome I've been getting, just need more immuneoblockers choom, I swear! ',:)
Oh dear... I'm afraid for Jackie's bike. Is it going to last one episode ?
Pity that their was no Metro when I played it
