haha yes, he has worked on multiple songs for KI along with Mick :P
His wife Ali Edwards who also did the some of the vocals for "Devil Trigger" does the vocals for a track on this album too.
Fun fact: Mick got told by his boss "we're limited on budget, whatever you can do as cheaply as possible, do it"
he gathered the whole dev team and made them sound like vocalists without hiring any professional ones lol
the game was basically made with little to no budget, even for the soundtrack and what they pulled off is insane.
You can hear the Killer Instinct theme in every song, in Hisako's theme, that lullaby the children are humming is the main theme.

It's not in every song, mostly just for the new characters. For the older ones, he uses the their theme songs from the classic games for the idle portion of the tracks.

Okay so i just saw this is here, fuckin dope! Fun tidbit time!! Mick asked a greek friend of his for a war chant, the one you hear as the main lyrics, so he could then hire a choir to sing it. But there was no budget for it. So what you hear is the layered voices of devs and game creators who were asked on the spot to sing this war chant in the office. And as you noticed, yet again the main theme snuck in like all songs in the soundtrack

Loved seeing your realization that the main theme is the bridge! That's a running theme throughout the soundtrack. This song is inspired by Greek elements, being as Aganos is a Greek golem. There *is* a song in KI with a sitar but I won't spoil which one in case you react to it someday! Can't wait for more KI in the future. This soundtrack is a ridiculous banger! 🤘🔥❤

The Spinal theme is amazing too.
Love how massive this track is, insane. Anyone who has tried mixing anything even close to this dense knows how difficult it is to have it sound clear and punchy with so much going on, especially a genre like this as opposed to electronic music. I would say "one of my favorites", but I would say that about almost every track Mick did for this game. His research and way of representing the different characters (including instrumentation, vocal techniques, languages and so on), their history, and the history of Killer Instinct itself is basically everything you could dream of. Watching every reaction you do to this OST, no question!
...But you _gotta_ hear the season 2 bonus track. May be too short for a video on its own (minute and a half?), so perhaps as a bonus after another KI reaction, but man. That hidden track. What a signoff. Don't want to say anything to spoil it, just hope you hear it (especially considering a request you had in the previous video).
The atmosphere Mick creates is just so freakin' epic with his music. Pure BOSS music 100%!
As a Greek, there are honestly very few tracks in games inspired by ancient Greek mythology that are able to hit the full scope of the awe of the epics they are based on. This one undoubtedly captures the immense power and mysticism of the concept of the character in more ways than I can describe with my words now. Honestly an incredible theme, and I'm proud that someone like Mick Gordon represented my culture, albeit in a goofy game like Killer Instinct lol.

I don’t know if you’ve already got a list of songs you’re going to listen to next it I’d highly recommend “Hinnamatoom” which is Thunder’s theme and “I’m Back (To Rise)” which is TJ Combo’s theme, they’re probably my favourite KI tracks.
In my opinion this is Mick Gordon's masterpiece. It's just so tight and well arranged

Mick Gordon calls himself a "heavy metal composer". Here's where you can see that this song belongs in an orchestral performance at a royal concert hall or something, with the open chords, gang vocals, the sitar mixed in and all that.
I'll just wait until you get to Fulgore's theme. This dude is machine gun guitar riffing beast, and that track in particular is SO GOOD 👊🏻

I recommend listening to the complete dynamic versions found on youtube. the music changes slightly based on what's happening in the match.
Ahh KI 2013, possibly my favorite game of all time. Entire OST is bonkers, so many genres, all done to perfection. If you get a chance Jeese, please do Fulgore's theme (Type-03) and Cinder's theme (Inferno). Love the content friend, keep up the great work.
I am 100% with you in that I wish the riff from 2:52 - 2:56 lasted longer (or was used more). It's absolutely filthy, and it's a crying shame that it's only four seconds long lol
In the OST version at 5:05 in your video there is a badass guitar transition riff thing that I'm really sad isn't in the youtube version, its awesome

I actually prefer it without the guitar riff personally! When it's just the silence into THAT, it feels like a mountain just fell on your head which is exactly how Aganos should sound. Both are great though ofc, and I could definitely see why someone would prefer the OST version!

I will suggest this in a later video but theres this little game came out last year which is Omori which also have a really good sound track. Final Duet, or World’s end Valentine, Bready steady go. The community is very whole some and small and you can make the world for them by listen to those sound track :))

Awesome reaction my friend, I see you stepped in to the world of VGM recently. You might want to check more stuff from FF7r and its dlc as its one of the most recent classic soundtrack. Air buster theme, Ghoulish Symphony, One wing Angel rebirth, Jenova Quickening or Gigantipede in the dlc. The whole ost is fire and Im highly recommend them.
Oh boy do I have a FFXIV track to check out from Endwalker. It may be a bit spoilery so all in good time. But "Close In the Distance". Yeah so good.

You gotta check out The Instinct main theme. There's not a lot to it, but it really makes you want to move

There was another song from the NieR games I feel you should check out: The Ultimate Weapon. There's a version from about 10 years ago and one from the Replicant version this year.
Have you done Tiger Warrior, Sandstorm, and/ Lycanthropy? They're all amazing, Mick Gordon even learned to throat sing for Tiger Warrior's vocals.

Mick Gordon man! Keep in mind, this is VGM, and Mick made an epic fight scene in a movie soundtrack, he tells a story with his music, where the words are not even understandable to many people.
Anyone notice his use of the choir to amplify the epic feel of this song, sometimes in parts as not to overlap with the heavy metal part?
I call this Anthem of Fury #4 or Anthem of POWER. Put this on in the gym while heavy lifting, and I bet you will feel indestructable.
