Losing a mother at any age is devastating, but so young is such a heartbreak. I recently started following her and she seemed like such a passionate and kind person. She came across as truly sincere and vulnerable. My thoughts and prayers to her whole family.
My coworker told me about his daughters passing the other day. The family had other heath issues as well. I was unaware his daughter Mel had a major TH-cam following. Any and all passings are very difficult, with Mel we can all reflect on how many people she made smile with her videos and she will be lived on by her children and family. Much love and will be missed.
Please tell her Dad that I and thousands of others are shocked and mourning the loss of his beautiful daughter. Mel was more beautiful on the inside than her beautiful outside. She was so kind, caring, and talented. I have been a viewer in the YT beauty community and everybody is grieving. Mel was such a good friend to fellow influencers, they are hurting bad. In this chaotic world we now live in Mel has been a very bright light that has gone out to rise to the heavens to shine so much brighter. ❤
Mel had a connective tissue disease that can affect the heart. I am an RN and a longtime fan. Mel was brave and strong and although she occasionally talked about her challenges she said often that doing Utube and playing with makeup was her happy place. So I knew she was ill, and had been in the hospital, but hoped that things were better and everything was going to be OK. I don’t know the specifics but what I know for sure that she had a big heart and a beautiful soul that was caring and lifting people up and supporting other creators and channels and touching her family, her close friends and her U tube family and friends near and far and throughout the world. She touched the world with her beautiful soul and that’s the best that any of us can do. She got her wings so tragically young, so RIP Beauty🌹🌹🌹

Her passing is one that has deeply effected me as a fan. She was a down to earth kind and incredible person. She deserved millions of followers because she never used her platform for anything other than kindness. I’m so angry. Why do the worst people have long life millions of dollars and a huge channel? Yet someone deserving like Mel is gone at such a young age. She truly changed my life with showing me how to wear makeup correctly and confidently. Me and my daughter watched her together for nearly a decade. My daughter grew up watching Mel/Puffins wife. This is so unfair and my soul aches for her husband and babies.

All you have to do is talk to any of her former coworkers or clients and all of the people that she touched through her interactions on social media to know that that's a lie. They would all tell you otherwise. These people could only be so lucky to have so many in this world think so highly of them. She was truly a joy and a light in this world. She went out of her way to make many of us feel better when we were down. She built other people's channels up by just saying a kind word about them. What would these trolls know about being a mother of four, a spouse a TH-camr and suffer multiple joint surgeries since the age of 18. Knee replacements, shoulder surgeries, heart problems, autoimmune disease...along with all of the horrible anxiety and depression that having health problems brings. All while maintaining a positive and bright attitude, constant uploading and reaching out to many, many people in the community when they were having a terrible time. Trolls ought to be ashamed of themselves, speaking of someone who's so recently passed like this. How would your mother, father, siblings, spouse or children feel if they were reading these horrible things about you after you were gone? You wouldn't want your family and friends to go through that. Stop it. Get some help.
I am crushed to learn this horrible news. I've been an avid supporter and fan for many many years. I felt just like most of us do, like we knew her personally. She was a friend to everyone. My dad used to tell me growing up something that didn't make sense to me until I began losing my closest friends, "The good die young, baby." I never truly got it. Sadly, now as an adult, I know what he meant. And it's unfair but so true. Almost as though some people are just too pure for this world. Mel gained her wings. And we will miss her beyond measure. 💔
I just found out like 5 minutes ago and I'm utterly devastated. I love Mel. She would always reply to my comments on her videos. Not alot of youtubers do anymore. She was the most beautiful person inside and out. I am crushed 4 her family and her friend Kelsey. The beauty community will never b the same.

As someone that suffers with bad anxiety and depression and I don’t have many friends, it might sound silly but she felt like a friend to me and her videos helped me through so much, to the point that I was comforted by rewatching ones I had already seen. I took a flu shot 3 years ago and have had issues since but I've been doing things to reverse what I think was in it and am having great success! I haven't watched almost any beauty content in two months as my little family has been busy with huge life events, but Mel was a reason these past few years that there was nothing I'd rather do in my downtime, laying in bed, letting the whole day go, than watch her and a couple others talk about things they were excited about, try on new products, hear about her life.. she truly radiated a palpable goodness. I've seen her comment and support very small channels so many times, going out of her way to watch videos from everyone who bought and mentioned her palette, and thanking them. She never said a bad word about anybody! She loved making other women feel as beautiful as they are. She was a true friend to those who got close, she wore her heart on her sleeve...I'm so so sad for her family, for KBJ, for Wayne, and I'm so frickin sad and upset for Mel. I started following her back when she had only 1400 subscribers. I remember vividly the day I told her she would go far and the skies the limit. She always responded with such kindness and genuine care for her supporters. I am absolutely heartbroken. My prayers are with her sweet family. She will be sorely missed.

I have been following Mel for a long time because she was a wonderful makeup artist, but I also felt strongly connected because we were sharing similar battles when it came to depression and anxiety, the last video I watched of her was yesterday when she talks about her seizures which now I suffer from. I remember thinking to myself that I wanted to leave a comment this morning because she was struggling a lot but yet she would always have a positive attitude and that gave me hope. I was about to leave the comment and I read in the comments that she had passed away and that’s very devastating. I’m deeply sorry for her family’s loss. RIP

My cousin had just passed and I was preparing for his funeral watched a video of her like I did often before bed and was going to comment how much I loved it, when I read comments about her passing and was literally devastated and balled my eyes out. My kids couldn’t understand but even though I never met her she was like a comforting friend and felt I knew her. I can’t believe it! How did she die? She is literally my age! Love and prayers for the family
My cousin had just passed and I was preparing for his funeral watched a video of her like I did often before bed and was going to comment how much I loved it, when I read comments about her passing and was literally devastated and balled my eyes out. My kids couldn’t understand but even though I never met her she was like a comforting friend and felt I knew her. The youtubers don’t understand how much comfort they being lonely people… you will be greatly missed Mel, the world has lost a great soul. I hope to meet you on the other side. God bless and R.I.P
