Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland! FIRST TIME!

- Rise of the Resistance opens today in Disneyland's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. Yesterday we were invited to a special sneak preview of the new e-ticket attraction before it opened to the public. Watch our vlog from the press preview, which also includes a sneak preview of some new snack and drink options coming to Batuu West - including Galma Garlic Cheese Puff Chips, Toydaria Swirl (a sweet and spicy variation on the classic green milk) and Black Spire Hot Chocolate (which previously was available in Disney World's version of Galaxy's Edge.)
The day has finally come....Kitra finally got to ride Rise of The Resistance!
Although this ride has already been open for a little over a month at Hollywood Studios in Orlando, we are so excited that it is finally OPEN at our home park of Disneyland! Peter got to experience in Florida back in December (watch this videos here):

Unfortunately Kitra couldn’t join ......so needless to say she was VERY excited! So let's live vicariously through her as she experiences it for the first time. Peter explains how the west coast version of Rise of the Resistance is different and we even get a chance to ride the attraction a second time to show you some of how the ride changes in the alternate path. Words can’t even describe how awesome this new attraction is. We were lucky enough to ride it 3 times in a row with virtually no one else and it is an experience we will never forget. Thank you so much to Disney for inviting us out to be some of the first Star Wars fans to experience this ride in California. We will be back bright and early for opening day of Rise of The Resistance with another video of opening day craziness so stay tuned for that!

The cast members are so awesome and they stay in character! I could not do their job. I would be smiling and laughing all the time. Can't wait for our next trip to Disney!

I remember being in Las Vegas when they had the "star trek: the experience" which was awesome, and seeing "rise of the resistance" videos, makes me wonder if Disney imagineers were heavily inspired by this attraction when designing rise, the concept is very similar. I was never fan of star trek, but this attraction was ahead of his time definitely.

So Peter and Kitra, I am going on sunday to experience the resistance adventure, but please believe me when I say that once I get to the point of hearing first order music, that comment will be playing through my head, and i may just start laughing, I feel like everyone is going to be so serious and I am going be laughing thinking about that comment!!! 😂🤣😂....you guys rock!

That star destroyer bridge is probably my favourite bit from the ride like you actually feel as if your on the command deck and when I saw Star Wars Theory in the docking bay i could not contain my excitement :)

Well, I have to say, this one really hyped me up for this ride. I've seen the other ride-through videos, and after hearing that Kitra viewed them also (spoiler to her) she still had tears of enjoyment and wows of fantasy. I loved her reactions, and have no doubt now, even though I know the whole ride, I'll have the same reactions! I so look forward to being on this ride personally! Thank you!

Yesterday was our last day at Disneyland. We missed it this round but thanks for filming the ride so we could get a taste of what the experience is like.
The new drink looks inspired by the “mangoneada” a frozen mango with chili/lime and chamoy Mexican treat.
It was awesome for Kitra to experience the ride and sadly the black kyber crystal challenge continues. Thanks for another fun adventure.

The Tron Ride at Shanghai Disney is just as awesome.
I’m sure it is but in the end that’s a skinned roller coaster. I prefer immersive themed story experience rides.
You're right on the music. The stormtroopers would get so depressed if they had to listen to it all day long. Occasionally they should pipe in "It's a Small World After All". That would lift their spirits.

I was on this in Orlando and it really was an experience. They do such a good job pulling you into the story/world and making it fun and entertaining. I agree with your determination, best ride.. at least in North America.

Yes, Peter nailed the camera work. He even caught the tie fighter crash that takes out the bulkhead behind Kylo.

That was AMAZING! The blaster bolts & lightsaber cutting through the ship sold me. Those red kyber crystals are starting to look like cough drops to me. You are due the black one soon. The Force wills it!

Wow, I want to go....I live in the middle of the country, so either way is a full vacation.
Just left there yesterday after a 3-day trip. Did it on purpose as it was the only time we could go and figured crowds would be dead before the ride opened. We weren’t wrong with that. Rode Smuggler’s Run six times and rode every other major ride in the park multiple times and never waited in line more than 15 minutes. However...there was Rise of the Resistance sitting there, open to Disneyland cast members only, and we wanted to ride it soooo damn bad!!!! We will be going back later this year or early next year to ride it once the crowds taper off a little.
Just for kicks we checked our Disneyland app this morning around 9:15am and all boarding groups for Rise were totally gone for the day.
They were gone in 3 minutes or less

Opening day was so fun!
I was super stoked to see Kitras reaction through the whole ride and I know you couldn’t record yours Peter. The security guard sitting next to you has one of the best jobs... I use work for a personal security company that did protection for vips at Disneyland and the dudes got paid $75 hour to ride rides. Always wish I had that gig but you had to be a US marshal or off duty cop to carry at the park

I had been on the ride in Orlando so I knew it was coming
My favorite new channel! It took me 3 days to ride in Orlando. Day 1: group 83, they stopped at group 82. Day 2: broke down after the Transporter and was stuck in the little hallway for over an hour. Day 3: MIND BLOWN! Was completely worth all the hassle. I get goosebumps just watching the video. It's the best ride in the world, just say it!

It was so nice to meet you yesterday Peter! My son was going on and on about meeting "The Famous Peter".
