Oh wow❤ The harpsichord’s sound is incredibly captivating, with a particularly carefully refined tone, as violin sounds exceptionally pure and clear, striking the perfect balance between precision and warmth. It maintains a fluid, expressive tone without ever feeling overly sterile or mechanical, which I often notice in violin parts of Bach pieces. This makes the performance truly enchanting.🎉🎉🎉 Thank you both, you’re both so lovely.“ 😘🫱🎈
One great musician once told for Bach: "of course he was romantic, having so many children" 😊 I'm also fond of more romantic and gentle performances of his music (and baroque generally) than these mechanically precise ones we can hear these days.
Well, 6/10. He could sound even better if he would change to proper ([nyl-]gut) strings and use a proper baroque bow instead of a tourette bow. As then, he would use slightly less of this weird vibrato it could sound really great! Give this young musician some time to develop, and he can play in a league with the big kids.
@rayaenelmar4283 , well, there are people who prefer informed performances over romantic deconstructions of early music. Learn about early music, and you will understand. Don't just follow some deconstructionist mainstream but really go deep into the music. Listen to e.g. the splendid JS Bach performances of the All of Bach journey of the Nederlandse Bachvereiniging, and you will start to understand what performing JS Bach and early music really means.
@@tobiasstudtheol I've listened to them, they are great. But this performance is not trying to be historical, but rather beautiful and surprising. I had an enormous luck to have a professor that had a habit of saying "tout est beau" I guess I'm a good student 😊
@@rayaenelmar4283, you're a bad student by blindly following what a teacher repeated what his teacher once said that was already outdated at the time. You know, tradition is not worshipping the ashes but forwarding the fire.
At this point on time, I would say that romantic performances stand more in line with tradition than historically informed performances. Renaissances do happen and no doubt there is some going on for historical performances, but most people come to enjoy music how most musicians express it. Btw, no one will think that your smart because of your historical taste, and your appeal to history rather than to emotion and expression might come across as a little bit disingenuous or even pretentious. Do you think that the stylistic choice is morally relevant? To me it seems as relevant as the question whether I should first tie my right or my left shoe laces.
This guy is very good. I think I have never seen somebody playing with so taste. Bravo!!!!
