@@Pants69 Thanks. I've been researching this kind of dog for weeks. I'm looking to get my own. Many years ago, I lived with someone who had a Fox-Faced Pomeranian. It was smaller and more delicate than Otto. But it had such a big personality! It's adorable how unaware they are of their smallness. Also, I swear it could read my thoughts and emotions. On a few occasions I was mean to it. At night, it would walk up to me and sit at my feet, looking for a belly rub. I would oblige, and rub its belly with my feet while we watched TV. In that way, the dog held out an olive branch and bonded with me. I miss him so much!
@@shox007that sounds like a very good dog! Otto also asks for belly rubs all the time. He's a very good and affectionate boy. :) He weighs 10kg. There are kleinspitzes as well that are the size between Pomeranians and mittelspitzes like Otto. All good choices I'm sure!
We went woth Otto since he's large enough to join for hikes. He loves that. Especially in the winter. They will definitely alert their humans about everything. He sure likes to bark at anything he hears or sees. We actually moved from an apartment to a house since it's in Otto's nature be on watch 24/7. Now that we live here he can relax a lot more and we don't get any angry neighbours.

What a lovely and energetic dog! What breed is it? It looks like a throwback Pomeranian. It certainly has the vivacious personality of a Pom.
Haha. Thank you! Otto is a mittelspitz, so basically just a large Pom :)

@@Pants69 Thanks. I should look into a MittelSpitz as my next dog! It’s more rugged and perhaps can be useful as a guard dog? What do you think?
