It is unfortunate that the laws of the time and the very system of apartheid, has played straight into the hands of those who only think of themselves. It has handed them exactly what they have wanted. I speak of the NewANC and not necessarily of the ANC founding fathers, whose vision for the country, irrespective of whether good or bad, has been lost along the way. The damage of apartheid can never be underestimated. It is so egregious, it has elevated this most useless, most criminal, most anti-black, anti-human rights and anti-progress ANC to the highest heavens, as an organization of benevolent sages of good in the minds of an ignorant world, despite what is known about them. This is clearly evidenced in the universal approval they have received in their spurious charges against Israel in the ICJ, when it was clear they were singularly acting on behalf of the terrorist nation Iran, as their paid, political prostitute. So yes, whilst what Katlego says cannot be faulted, and detracts not from changing our 'culture' from 'victims' to 'victors', it is for those patriots who have the power (and not just the 'Katlego's' of South Africa) to re-capture and to change the 'narrative' of this day, to step up to the plate. For in our current state it is neither 'excellence' nor 'ability' that wins votes, but rather who wins the propaganda war...

Now that you have come out of your bubble, how about showing this to your friends, family and community to start the ball of change rolling. It's the anc that brainwashed the black people into thinking they are nothing and tell black people that we claim to be supreme and privileged which is a definite lie ,and that we withheld wealth and education from you ,where the pass rate during apartheid in all schools were 70% so if education was so bad in black schools that were in each tribes languages the pass rate would've not been 70% in black schools , black people mostly studied in University to be doctors, lawyers, judges, teachers, nurses, etc but never studied to become tradesmen which were the job creators, during apartheid there was a black lady that started off with a few chickens ,and it took a couple of years her chicken business started to become an industry ,she had later on her own poultry farm ,and that was in Port Elizabeth ,but somehow anc buggerd it up for all poultry farms in this country ,because the anc are getting millions of slaughtered chickens from America and benefitting money ways from it.

I don’t see this ending well, you have to look no further than pan african idiots and then tell me they want peace? Mhonqonqo:my people, this is a fact,if we Africans still vote for the parties that we voting,we blacks will always remain far behind, let's accept that we as blacks are far behind in everything, white, Chinese,Indians are far,far ahead of us,whether, scientifically or any sphere of life,we will never catch up with them, look at technology, where are we,we produce nothing. Those who try to create something, it's either are not supported or are suppressed by our very own government. Look at our neighbouring country, Zimbabwe, they took farms from whites, what happed, farms are lying fallow.

What you say about people still voting for the same parties that keep promising the world to these poor people, and delivering nothing time after time, makes me so sad.
For many years when these people talk to me about how disillusioned they are with their government, I ask why people still vote for the same parties with empty promises. The responses are always very similar. People are poor, and when it comes to elections, they gladly accept the menial handouts from the politicians, a T shirt, some Kentucky fried chicken, and occasionally a bag of maize meal.
When I hear this, my response is always the same. I ask them to put a value to these items that are handed out. The values given are usually between R100 and R200 for the combined gifts.
I then ask them to do some simple arithmetic with me.
Your vote for the party that gives you the gifts elects them as the government for 5 years. 5 years multiplied by 365 days in each year, equals 1825 days.
I then ask them to divide the highest possible value of the gifts by the number of days.
We usually take the highest value possible. R200 and I ask them to double the number. R400 divided by 1825 equals R0,22 per day.
When they realize that their vote for the party that delivers nothing on their promises, but gives them a gift every 5 years equates to 22 cents per day, that is in reality their payment/wage for their vote, their reaction is always one of disgust that they are taken for fools.
My response to them is that it does not matter what party they vote for, but rather that you never give any party your vote for more than two elections, unless they deliver on all of their promises.
I hope that through this I have enlightened some people to make better choices in their lives.

When you have something to blame, as black people in this country never stop reminding us, it seems to translate into a diminished desire or tenacity to confront and deal with your own inadequacy. Katlego, i am white and listen to your podcast regularly as well as many many other peoples' podcasts because I find the various views are very intersting and give one perspective. People should stop these pity parties, because they degrade themselves by always looking for pity. Just look at the streets and the mess left behind after the so called protests! That energy can be utilised to build yourselve up. So many many black people has been trained and received good skills, like plumbing, electriciens, builders and gardening. Why do they not apply it in their own communities to build them up.

If all those against worked for progress there would actually be a labour shortage instead of high unemployment. So long as the country is stuck with the likes of EFF, MK, Asa, ANC, and 300 other useless parties, failure is inevitable.

Everybody understood that getting a good education was the only way out of poverty. After they graduated and got a job, it was not unusual to work 12 hours a day, 6 days a week. As we past an intersection, a delivery man on motorbike was killed because of the lights that doesn't work, as well as the robots.
