Wow-- when i first saw this- I thought it would take me forever to learn. 30 minutes in and a few replays to catch and incorporate the tags and it's done. Such a beautiful yet simple arrangement. And the low-G (recommended by you in other videos) really makes me sound jazzy. Thanks for the lesson.
Thanks Gene. In Jazzy Ukulele Workbook Two I have a chord chart for the tune in the key of C. Better for male vocal but not as good for instrumental jazz chord-melody playing
Satin Doll is covered thoroughly in Workbook 2. but you really should get Workbook One to get orientated. Good standards there as well. Autumn Leaves, Heart in San Fran Mac the Knife L-O-V-E Love Letters
Are you using a wound low G and if not what are you using? absolutely fantastic I learned so much from work book one that not only am I going to order work two but probably the advanced Jazz chords along with the Bossa Nova with it.
I use a normal set of ukulele strings rearranged in order of thickness to make the fattest string become the low G. Very simple. Look on the jazzyukulele.com web site to read about how I go about it and get a free download describing the various options for making your low G.
Glen Rose I've been on the site but I don't think I've ever looked at that section I will do that this morning thank you very much for your response and thank you for all of the wonderful learning material.
Glen Rose I've been playing music for a long time but coming into the ukulele was probably the single greatest thing that ever happened to me in music. Not only did it reinvigorate my need and want for playing but it also made someone with severe arthritis who could no longer play the wide necks of guitars be able to play once again this time with a lot more focus on creativity and less focus on being fancy. Its truly been a game changer. Many blessings to you and yours.
Really? I noticed those tires on the roof whenever I see tires on the roof all I can think of is The Philippines lol I didnt know they do that too in Thailand. Anyways, I'm really looking forward too see more Jazz Guitar Chords tutorials. I loved the Six Jazz Chords tutorial though. Hope to see more of it!

Thank you for the great lesson. Enjoy Thailand it's awesome.
Thanks Ken, It's in a different key than the version in Jazzy Ukulele Workbook Two.
The key on the video (D) is better for playing the melody.
you put my ukulele playing on another level. great.
So happy to hear it. Everything is so much easier when someone simply shows you how.
Glen rose your the MASTER ! We are not worthy
Thank you Grasshopper. You must transcend and let the force be with you.

Wow! That was really beautiful. It's on my list to learn. Thank you so much.
My pleasure
Awesome!
Thank you Glen. Good Chords.
There's a typo on the chords at 3:58. It should read Dmaj7 not Dmaj"17". Sorry about that. The 17th chord has yet to be invented.
Yes, it is a rare chord. It resonates in the 17th dimension in the rings around Saturn. That's where I obviously was when i wrote it!
すごくわかりやすいです、、、、!thank you
Also works in DADGAD, starting 2nd fret on 4th string.
Brilliant tutorial just what I need in these strange COVID times.
How do I get the book please
Thanks
Glad to hear it

Hi Glen! I really enjoy your videos. Where are you now? Hawaii? Sure doesn't look like Santa Cruz!
Glen, Inspired by this video I bought a baritone. Im learning how to tune it. Are you tuning 4 steps higher? And are you using standard string? Thanks
I just visited your website and see your tuning details. Im going to use GCEA with a low G. Such a nice sound.
+Bill Laubsch --on this video I am using GCEA , normal tenor ukulele tuning. I like to play with normal bari tuning as well. (DGBE)
