Exactly 50 years ago, Hard Rock legend Led Zeppelin showed their bold action of releasing its debut and the sophomore album in the same year. It has become history, and remains the greatest appearance. The Bowls will release its second album [If We Love Without Romance] in November, not long after releasing their first album [If We Live Without Romance] in March this year. The Bowls is never be comparable to them, but we haven’t heard of such a case in recent years in 2019. Their music is sticking to an anachronistic style and the way of activity is also against the times.
No matter how anachronistic they may have committed, they are a young band ‘The Bowls’, who has been exposed to music through the breathing of the album. I believe that the right musical realization as an artist is a complete album. The group of young artists, who have pursued various genres and styles in the basic framework of rock, has released their debut with a strong desire, and will release their second full-length album featuring the essence of various music that has not been delivered. The two works are absolutely is in an extension and the story is embedded in the keyword ‘Love, Life and Romance.’

정확히 50년 전 하드록의 전설 레드 제플린 (Led Zeppelin)은 데뷔와 소포모어 작품을 같은 해에 발매하는 발칙함을 보인다. 이는 역사가 되었고, 가장 위대한 등장으로 남아있다. 더 보울스 (The Bowls)는 올해 3월 1집 [If We Live Without Romance]를 선보인 후 얼마 지나지 않은 11월 2집 [If We Love Without Romance]를 선보인다. 비단 그들과 절대 비교를 할 수는 없겠지만, 무려 반백 년이나 지난 2019년에 이런 경우는 근래에 들어본 적 없다. 음악도 시대착오적인 스타일을 고집하는 데에서 더 나아가 활동의 결도 시대를 역행하고 있다.
아무리 시대착오의 우를 범했다 할지라도 앨범의 호흡으로 음악을 접해왔던 젊은 밴드 더 보울스다. 예술가로서 올바른 음악적 구현은 하나의 완성된 앨범이라 믿는다. 록이라는 기본 틀에서 여러 장르와 스타일을 추구해온 이 젊은 아티스트 집단은 다부진 욕심이 느껴지는 데뷔작을 선보였고, 전달되지 못한 다양한 음악의 정수를 담아낸 두 번째 정규앨범을 발표한다. 이 두 작품은 절대적으로 연장선에 있고 그 이야기는 ‘사랑과 삶, 로맨스’라는 키워드에 녹아있다.
