$75,000 WORTH OF WORLD BANKNOTES Part 1 - Most Valuable World Banknote & Paper Money

Today we take a look at an amazing collection of world banknotes. I estimate the retail value of this entire collection to be somewhere around $75,000 or more. This collector has hundreds of Romanian banknotes in exceptional graded from both PMG and PCGS. Almost all of these notes are graded either uncirculated (UNC) or about uncirculated (AU) which is truly astonishing since many of these notes are more than 100 years old. Since this is a huge collection of paper money, this series will be divided into four parts.
In Part 1 of this special series we will be looking at Romanian banknotes from the Romanian Kingdom period, including many notes from World War I and World War II. These banknotes were produced between 1877 and 1947 when Romania was still a monarchy. Many of these early Romanian notes were designed in France and this French influence is evident in many of the later notes as well.
By way of background, Romanian currency is known as the "leu" or "lei" which translates to "lion" in English. Romania is one of only of a few European Union member states to not adopt the Euro as its official currency.

This is an awesome collection of world banknotes! The grades are complete unicorns. I send my currency into PMG all the time for grading and I have never gotten back anything over a 67 even for brand new modern notes! It’s crazy to see these very old Romanian money in those high grades! Thanks for sharing!

The 1940 5000 Lei is a stunning note

What a beautiful collection. Some really nice banknotes. I really like the old European banknotes compared to the euro banknotes they use now. Always good to see your videos. Do you have any old banknotes from Rep. Of Ireland. They got some really nice banknotes.

Great video. I have always been a fan of the design of many of the old European banknotes and I must say I do really like old Romanian paper money. Their new polymer notes are also pretty interesting.

Good thing you have no beard you look more presentable for our time period, unless you live up here Canada far north.
Calgary and further north that is. Which has tempetures as cold as -35 degree C to -45 in Edmonton city. Thankfully I dint live in A.B. (Alberta) anymore. B.C.(British Columbia) is not even close to being that cold. And even though we are known as friendly we suffer living in the far north.
In comparison to your neck of the woods, -35 C is equal to -31 F Fahrenheit
