after following this torurial my laptop wont even recognize the controller anymore
The DualShock 3 driver download page is different from what is shown in the video because I changed it due to privacy concerns about the website.
Steps to download :-
1) Click the link in the Description box it will lead you to a website
2) You will see a written guide of this tutorial on the page. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and you'll see the driver download button.
3) Click on the button that says "Click here to Download"
And that's it the driver should start downloading right away.
If there's any problem, let me know.

Instead of getting a winrar file ready to install, Im getting a 7Z file and when I try to open it on notepad, it shows me some random symbols, same for word. When I open it with Opera, it downloads the same file again, what do I do
@@Nikoitsromanletsgobowling Do you have WinRar Installed on your computer? Try uninstalling the 7zip and install WinRar and then try opening that with WinRar

After I installed it my controller wont show up at all anymore.
Might be a bit late to answer, but I had the same problem. To fix it I repeated all the steps for installing the Driver, but instead of checking the box "force install" and clicking "install", I unchecked the box "configure service" and clicked "uninstall". Then my PC picked up the controller again.

For those who can't get their controllers recognized (controller not appearing on the "Set USB game controller" window) u just have to run the ScpServer application on the background (run it without closing it) that's in the bin folder (the same folder from which u should've installed the ScpDriver application). Once done, the controller should be recognized as an XBOX 360 controller by the computer. If u still can't play with it try to unplug it to replug it again (in game).

You might need to run the ScpServer executable that comes with the package and select the controller there. Then, start the server. The controller should appear.

I just wanted to say thank you so much for making this video, and that goes for every user who posted a video about SCP Drivers. I remember being confused in finding SCP "Scarlet Crush Productions" on my previous computer and had to look it up for a new computer. Turns out I had to do this process years ago and then just forgot about it so these videos have helped me at least a couple times now.
But is this software safe to use??
For me after i installed the drivers my controller doesnt pops anymore at the "USB game controllers"

@@eaglehighlights9012 later i found the problem that i was installing drivers and i just installed more than 1 driver, just check for the drivers and just delete them al and then reinstall 1 driver that fixed it for me

I've used an older version of SCP before, but the problem was bluetooth stops working after driver install and I'm unable to connect my wireless earphone... Does this version have any issues like that?

It worked for me, but now I don't know why, it stopped. When it was working there was 1 red light, now 4 lights, when i press ps button it blinks, and returns to 4 lights, and it isnt working. Do you know why or how to fix that.

Hi, I'm having a similar problem, when I connect it it registers as a USB device in the device manager instead of registering as a controller, was wondering if you were having the same thing?
can anyone help? mine, after all the steps, just removed every controller. it woudn't even recognize the one already attached to it.
Try Uninstalling the SCP Driver followed by the USB Driver. Reinstall the USB Driver followed by the SCP Driver and let me know what happens.

mate not even a youtuber commenter, but let me tell you that I have had this nobrand controller in my drawer for literally years now and have tried (and failed) many things (DS3/DS4/HidHide etc) but the thing was that as it a nobrand controller i didn't even know if it was being recognized as a PS1/2/3/4 controller or whatever. I have followed this 3 minutes video and the controller is simply , working. Thank you

When I downloaded the SPC driver package I could not open it and the picture of it didn't look like the picture of the file that you opened when you went into your downloads. Maybe you opened a different file. The time is 1:40 The file that I downloaded looked like the file on the top. I could not open it and extract it.
No, that’s the same file, I just renamed it to make it easier for people to understand. By the way can you please explain in brief what kind of problem are you facing?

I pressed "Free download" then "Create download link" and then when it finished downloading I went into my downloads and on the top there the Spc driver package was. But when I clicked open just like you did it asked me to choose where to open it instead of opening directly as you showed on the screen. The options I could choose from were some Media player and Word. I tried every option available and of course, none of them worked. There was one option that when I pressed it took me to my documents but I don't know what to do. How do I open the file as you did and then extract the file to a new folder in my computer's c drive?
Good Sir, you need a program called Win Rar or 7 zip (You can Google it) to open these kind of compressed files. I didn't mention it in the video because people usually know about this and have it on their computer. I'm sorry if i couldn't make it even more easier to understand. Please install Win Rar, install it and then you can right click and extract it like i did.. Then follow the video further... Thank you for watching... Do subscribe if if this was helpful

So I was able to download it, however when I tried to extract all of the files it just wouldn't extract any of it and it would say "The extraction operation was not completed". Do you know how to fix it?

hey, after I clicked on install scp driver, It still doesnt show up on the game controler

i have the same issue :( i've had scptoolkit installed on my old pc and it worked without issues, but it seems like this time it broke everything
actally just found out how to change it back. type 'device manager' in your windows searchbar, the controller should be under 'universal serial bus devices' click on it to expand it, there should be your controller, right click go to properties, then go to the driver tab, click uninstall device, unplug your controller and plug it back in, it will still be under 'universal serial bus devices' click on it again, go to the driver tab again, now click 'roll back driver'. it will show up under game controllers again :)

Download WinRar from Web and use that to Extract the file.
The pc still recognises it as a ps3 controller even after installing the scp driver
when i go download the file it says something about a vpn and there is no win rar option
Those vpn things you see are ads, just skip them and continue with the download. Also you'll need "WIN RAR" Software (Google it) to get those options you are looking for... Install it and follow the instructions in the video, let me know if there's anything else i can help with... Thanks.

In my case, I'm having trouble with the installation process.. After running SCP Driver Installer, I can't get the 4 items you do: I only get 2 ot them:
-- Install Summary --
Bus Driver
DS3 USB Driver
Missing Bus Device & DS3 USB Driver.
Before the installation, the "Set up USB Game Controllers" showed me the PS3 controller, but now it's empty. I've already tried the Uninstall process but the Controller still doesn't appear as before.
¿Do you have any clue of what could be happening and how to solve it? Thanks in advance!!

Hey I installed the files and ran through it like the video and my PS3 controller won't even show up in 'Set up USB game controllers', do you know how to fix this?
Try to get on the bin folder from which u installed the ScpDriver app and run the ScpServer application on the background. Don't close it until u're done playing.
If still, doesn't work, unplug ur controller and replug it, all in game.
That's how it worked 4 me.

Probably a faulty cable. Try replacing it!

He just answers the "Thank-you ' s" now, lots of folks systems were detecting the PS3 controller before installing those drivers. Now after driver install the controller is not detected anymore. Worse situation than when we started. Install at your own risks, does not work from everyone (Read comments).
