      After a big hike out of the bush, I ordered an Extra-Hot large latte, and 40 minutes later it comes out lukewarm and in some kids cup.... let's just say I wasn't a happy camper and O'Reilly's won't be getting $6 out of me again. I should have gone with my gut feeling and simply brewed my own cuppa on the Jet Boil next to Bernard, Binstead and Proud.

    How beautiful all the shades of greens and those stunning waterfalls. Lovely video. Thank you.

      The Green Mountains are very aptly named, right?

    Beautiful Areas, I have been Watching A lot of Korean Campers Lately. When I Lived in Florida I would Go Camping Every Weekend With My Dirt Bike. Miss Those Days.

    Did you include ASMR in your keywords? I think those folk would absolutely go psycho for this one.

      Thanks for the tip, Adam. Never thought of that...will give it a whirl. 🙌

      Tell me about it.... these places are surreal. 🙌

    That tent looks vertually identical to mine, other than mine is blue-green, probabily a lot older and no longer waterproof 😢. I haven't been to Lamington NP for years, kids are 10 and 12 and they've never been! You gave me the heabigibies (spelling?) looking over the top of the waterfall with all those slippery rocks!

      That's a 3-man Denali Vortex tent that I picked up the other from Anaconda for $50. Felt like a motel room in the bush, was huge but was 3kgs - so quite heavy. I just got a 1-man tent that is absolutely amazing, and will be doing some camping in that - only 1.5kgs and simply awesome. Yes, get the young ones out to LNP!

    Yes it's an awesome escape when getting away from the noise. Great vid Jel.
    Nearly at 3k subs bud, who's going to get the frillneck? Fingers crossed it's me 🤞
    Cheers mate.

      Yep, if you get the chance, head to the base of those falls at Black Canyon. Thunder and Lightning are stunning. I've got a video on that adventure on my channel 👍👍

    Lovely spot up there. You used to be able to drive up there on a 4wd track. Duck Creek Road, it was called, I believe.

    • @jelbuilderfilms
      @jelbuilderfilms  ปีที่แล้ว

      You're right.... unfortunately Duck Creek Rd is closed. That was a fun road to drive.

      @shellebelle53 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jel Builder it was a great drive, but yes, it has been closed for a long time.

    Wow what abeautiful place. Could this be a day walk. Have to be brave to sleep out there but photos of the wterfalls would be worth it. Perla this one Jel :)

    • @jelbuilderfilms
      @jelbuilderfilms  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Shahlarna! Yes, this is a fantastic day walk - the Albert River Circuit at O'Reilly's. Well worth it! Believe it or not, these places are very peaceful to sleep in... and no Yowies annoying us that night! 🙌

    Oh and that jelly star fish. What a find!!

    Nice, I'v been trying to decide for the last few weeks if I could handle an overnighter at Echo Point due to it being a bit chilly up there night now at night (yeah I'm a big wooz with the cold!). Those walking stick palm berries you were playing with were the only thing the Stinson survivors ate in that 10 days in there.

    • @cravingkarst
      @cravingkarst ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Loved the atmosphere in this one - quite relaxing 😌

    • @jelbuilderfilms
      @jelbuilderfilms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I enjoy this quite stuff more than the loud talky talky stuff, tbh. But I did an experiment here and another location (video coming) where I slept in emergency space blanket sheets where it drops to 5 degrees temps. My future vid will show what it's like to sleep in cold conditions in those survival sheets only.

    • @jelbuilderfilms
      @jelbuilderfilms  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I was wondering about those berries....you reckon edible? I'm not confident with bush food but I may give it a nibble next time. I see these a lot.

    • @paulh4691
      @paulh4691 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jelbuilderfilms Yes the walking stick palm berries are edible when red ripe. That is what Proud and Binstead ate during that time. There is even a scene in the Riddle of the Stinson where you see Binstead crawling back to proud with them hanging out his mouth. Last time I had a nibble was about 25 years ago but from memory, they have very little or no taste! I'd take your creek wine gums any day! Speaking of your Dad joke humour, I"m surprised you could resist not getting a Yowie scene in an overnighter vid like this😁

    Got the misso ready and packed heading for the stinson wreck tomorrow her first time there doing an overnighter at the stinson camp can't wait bro!!!! Love ya vids

    • @jelbuilderfilms
      @jelbuilderfilms  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's great. Hope all goes well for you both on this adventure trail. Just FYI, Stinson campsite is a bit of an incline for my preference, but for an extra 15minutes more slight uphill on the same trail, you'll come to Point Lookout campsite. Much better, flatter, larger. Thanks again Kyle 👍👍

    • @kyleclose3250
      @kyleclose3250 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jelbuilderfilms no worries brother !!! Always a pleasure watchn the myth scale the ranges and yeah I wanted to book pt lookout but a party beat me to it gotta resort to the stinson campsite which isn't bad but will give the misso an eye opener to what I call fun!!!! Lol
