What’s right for your trucks: Renewable diesel or biodiesel?

    I disagree with the "no right answer". Renewable (synthetic) diesel is by far the superior fuel in every way. It is mostly found on the west coast but it is expanding fast. There are so many feed stocks beyond used fryer oil such as algae and forest waste that there is no upper limit to production. Diesel is not dead, just change the fuel. Throw in the ducted fuel injection and diesel could be the cleanest power source.

    biodiesel is a good idea but it messes with the new trucks as the ECM does not know what to do with it and i for one can say when i run even a 50% Biodiesel in my older truck the MPG goes in the bucket and down the crapper.

    I just filled up with 76 renewable diesel for the first time. Made from soybean oil. I’ll update how it turns out
