Kj's voice shaking made me cry.
yup i notice he is not real REDHEAD you can see clearly by the sideways
I know i am sort of cringing throughout this segment but just bc it makes me uncomfortable to watch KJ like that like its so 💔💔💔
PEPSIMAX2019 what has that got to do with anything? Besides literally everyone (except you apparently) knows he dyes his hair, it’s talked about all the time, it’s not some revelation you just made. Respect the original comment.

Because if he said “is” then that means he’s still alive - and the clickbait kinda makes you feel like he passed away
@@neeln827 He really passed away! :(
Personally, I think Jimmy handled the interview with a lot of heart and class.
He's surprisingly good at the emotional interviews, and he goes to commercial whenever an interviewee gets too upset or emotional.
@@xxwhispersxx2856 which I think is a good thing. Emotions should be kept private
other title names to be considered:
- KJ Apa reminisces on tv dad Luke Perry
- KJ Apa talks about fond memories with Luke Perry
- KJ Apa reflects on his friendship with fellow castmate Luke Perry
- KJ Apa shares stories of the late Luke Perry
Agree, the word “reacts” makes it seem clickbait-y and as if KJ hasn’t heard of Luke passing yet. :/
True
Charllie mm yeah reacts is the wrong way to put it.
yeah what an awful title, jesus
No spoil😂😂😂
I really wish interviewers would stop asking these young actors about Luke's passing. It clearly makes them all uncomfortable, and I can't imagine how difficult it must be to talk about the passing of someone they were clearly close to.
Yes but he was a beloved actor who will always be loved.
Marissa LaCharite I'm pretty sure they inform the guests about the topics that will be discussed so they're not blindsided by emotional questions, but yes I definitely agree that it must be extremely hard to talk about especially in front of so many people
I'm aware that they are given a list of approved topics, but I still think it's in poor taste. I could understand an actor not wanting to add much to that list as to not appear difficult. I think it's the interviewer's job to be sensitive to someone's grief and acknowledge that that question has been asked a thousand times. It's not really anyone's business how someone is dealing with grief and if interviewers and audiences can't understand that then I'm ashamed of the world that we live in. (This is not meant to be argumentative towards you, I just have been thinking about this since I commented on this and you're the only person who has mentioned it)
Yes me too.... You can see he finds it hard to talk about Luke and I am just like respect them, everyone who knew him is grieving for him. Also these actors are so young, where is the respect. Surely they can ask other questions.
They agree to the interview knowing they will be asked of it
I'm not used to hear KJ with his New Zealand accent hehe.
Lol I said the same lol
It's called a Kiwi accent not a new Zealand accent
Antstorm I mean, you can say New Zealand accent, not everyone knows that us New Zealander’s call ourselves kiwis.
Antstorm thank you for the correction

Butera Life he wasn’t a close friend. Stop putting these so called celebs on same level or above you or me in life.

@ actually yeah kj and luke were the closest on set I mean kj has even stated that luke was his 2nd dad to him and that was before his death
K.j apa is really a good guy
Omg his accent. How does he have an American accent in the show, but a New Zealand accent in real life. It must be really hard to keep an American accent while filming.
I've heard that a lot of actors will try and maintain the accent throughout the whole day on set, just so they don't slip (like Camilla Luddington from Grey's Anatomy). Apparently, other actors like Kevin McKidd (also on Grey's) can switch back and forth; he's Scottish.
Are you really talking about his accent
@Dakota Stowers I think someone needs to calm down.

Well, I mean... Tom Holland (Spider-Man) is full on British and he plays an American superhero so... Yeah... A lot of hard work indeed !

That clickbait title is extremely disrespectful
Ayesha Mahmood why 🤷🏻♀️
It's not.
it’s not exactly clickbait but I get what you mean, the wording is wrong

Not sure how its clickbait since he is technically reacting by talking about how upsetting it was.
He was a dad on camera and off camera we remember you Luke Perry💔😭
kj's voice shaking hurts me.
you can see how much Kj misses Luke and how close they were. and also his voice was shaking... that shit hurt, but it’s good to know what a good person Luke was
I hope they at least asked him beforehand if they could ask him about Luke. It would be rude to not have, with his passing being so recent.
Hailley W yeah, i really hope that too...
There would of been a list of things they wouldn’t be able to talk about as a lot of celebs do, so I’m guessing it was able to talk about
It made me so sad that people were mad and upset that KJ took a few days to post about Luke instead of posting immediately. You can tell this effected him so much and he was just in shock. I hope everyone is doing well, especially Luke’s family!
CR CR i feel like when anyone dies people just post it on social media to get views and likes, and not actually reflect on it
Aisha Mehmood it’s the younger generation that are so used to doing everything solely for a social media post. It’s crazy how a post determines if you care or not
CR CR i know, it’s really sad
Social media is the last place I go to when an emotional thing happens personally, that's how it should be as well.
I agree with you? I MEAN WHO ARE YOU TO JUDGE HOW HE SHOULD FEEL ABOUT NEWS LIKE THAT?
0:18 I love how they all clap for Luke
That title is disgusting and the interviewers need to stop asking about Luke's death.
Phillip Mtambo you need to grow up people just want to know how Kj is doing after Luke’s death they ask because sometimes people kill them selves or hurt themselves when someone who had a relationship as close as kJ and Luke had
Disagree about interviewers/anybody asking about Luke's or anyone's death....it gives an opportunity to celebrate our lost loved ones, it isn't rude or disrespectful. My husband died at 38 a couple years ago, and I LIKE when people ask and give me an opportunity to tell people about how awesome he was. It's comforting and good for me. The way we treat death and lost loved ones is what is disgusting- you don't want us to talk about them like they didnt exist?? No. Talking about them and who they were and lovely stories about them keeps their memory alive! It's healthy! Stop being offended by *everything*.
After reading your comments, I understand where you are coming from. I did not consider the points you made guys. The title did appear quite click baity. It just seemed as though Fallon's media team used the title to get more views. Regardless, I too am concerned about KJ's wellbeing and hope him and others affected by this loss will get all the support they need. 👍
@@phillipmtambo795 the title didn't bother me as I know in journalism that's what the term is for a response about a topic. It's the proper term for the content of the interview. Today's world of over sensitivity I can see how people want to hear a softer term. But people also don't even want to hear the words "death, died or dies" either and that's a problem in our society in how everyone wants to ignore death because it's uncomfortable and too real. I really don't think they meant any harm. And I believe Jimmy asked about Luke out of respect and admiration and to share in the grief over his loss. And thanks for your kind reply :)
Hal Asmr that’s really not why they ask. They ask because it’s their job to ask.
I know it’s their job but I still feel like I wouldn’t bring up someone’s death
yeah its probably hard to talk about but I think they tell the guests what theyre gonna ask about so I doubt they're blindsided with these emotional questions
Random Videos exactly it’s like seriously not ok bruhhhh sksk
Maryan Mohamed has
You do realize they’re told what Jimmy is gonna talk about before the interview right?
Even though it is sad Kj probably has a lot of pr training so they probably expected for him to be asked this question :(
I feel bad for these actors. It seems like most interviewers talk about his death like yea they are sad so why bring it up more.
lol lol he wouldn’t have done it if he didn’t discuss it with the actor before
but isn't it nice to talk about it luke perry was an actor so someone in the spotlight, why is it wrong to ask about it i'm sure the audience and everyone else was expecting some kind of comment because otherwise we'd be ignoring it
Because it celebrates our lost loved ones when we talk about them after they die. It's actually comforting to talk about them and who they were and share stories. It's how people grieve and are comforted after someone they love dies. Going to be sad regardless if the person is brought up in conversation or not. You think they should be forgotten like they didn't exist? That's not healthy.

That title is really just the worst. Reacts? Seriously? The wording of that entire clickbait title was so disrespectful
How was it disrespectful
You can thank TH-cam culture. "React" has become a topic buzzword, like "unboxing" and "hack" -- if people stopped falling for the clickbait triggers, content creators would be a bit more honest with video titles.
I’d be balling my eyes if I had to talk about a friends death. Must’ve been hard to keep it together on live TVZ

Because he is, souls never die. 🖤
people in the comments are saying they feel uncomfortable about them talking about his death, it might be just me but i like the honesty and open conversation about it i think it sucks that we run away from the topic instead of openly talking about it, death sucks but pushing the conversation aside as if it doesn't even exist sucks too so why not just talk about it?

Can't Archie remain single for one episode? It's hard to take any of his relationships seriously this way.
it's like, the only thing that's actually true to the comics.
Shannon Breault True enough. Which is why I never took his interest for either Betty or Veronica seriously in the comics. Maybe if someone would point that out on the show it would bug me less.
Wasn't he single from Ep7 until the end of Ep12 this season?
Kyle William Livingston Well, I wasn't being that literal -- sure he was single while he was living alone in the woods. But on 3x07 there was that woman in the farm, remember? Took him a while to decide that, hmmm, maybe this is not a good idea? Anyway, Jughead's asking him "Seriously?" when he saw the mutual flirting was quite refreshing. :-D
@@morgand.3809 they had never say Veronica or Betty were Archie's girlfriends. Just friends.
That heartbroken smile when everyone cheered for Luke... What a beautiful person KJ is. And now, two years later, when he's still a boy but now a dad himself, things must hit him very differently. Usually when a TV star dies suddenly the director makes a minimal tribute to them (E.G- Beverly Hills 90210, a five minutes goodbye) and just forget about them because if they're not on screen they're no longer relevant, singling out Glee's quarterback episode because it was truly a love letter to both Finn and Cory. But Riverdale is different. And laugh as much as you want, but 18 months after he died in real life and SEVEN YEARS after he died in the story, in the mids of an intense, dark episode of season 6, Archie, now a soldier, sits in his dad's chair in his dad's office, hair wet, his hand covering his mouth, and he's looking at a picture of him and his dad. Just looking. Thinking. Almost crying but not crying. Breathing slowly, taking it all in, a moment between the two of them. And the fact that the writers allowed Archie to simply miss his dad and the fact that the director allowed KJ to simply miss Luke because it's not going away and it hurts so deep and it's OK is just extraordinary. To give life a place within the written story is so rare, and that's what separates "hit" TV from art. And as weird as it is, and as an anomaly as the series is, they make art. So yeah, dismiss it all you want, I'm with them.
I still can't believe he's gone. Everyone who knew him talk about him like such a beautiful person to be around.

I was a kid at the height of Luke Perry's popularity in the 90's, didn't really care much for him or his work growing up. When I heard he got cast as Archie's dad in Riverdale, I thought "hmm...that'll be interesting." But as I watched the show I had tremendous respect and appreciation for the man and his character easily became one of my favorite characters.
